Hello Guys ... i used to have an s5 widget for my own in uccw but it kinda suck
but i have heard about zooper and its awesomeness ..so i have ported it and it also looks typically like
the s5 one pixel-by-pixel
Features :
---------------
- 4x2 layout (if you use a dimensions with different scale than (2X*X) the clock and date would be ruined "for now" )
- 10 Weather Condition Textures (background and small accuweather indicator)
- 12-hour set with am\pm (next versions will introduce 24-hour mode)
- Celsius is used for temperature (you can change zooper to fairhenhiet but the "c" wont change "will see this too in the next versions")
- same font used as in s5 original widget "samsung numerals"
- same layout dimentions
- last update time is the time of last good update

-copy it to your phone and install it
-in your launcher make a zooper 4x2 widget and select my widget

Why dont you give the widget in .zw so the user would take power of the widget ?!!
- well this widget is in beta stage so i dont like to see somebody takes it and mod
it and make it better and then shows up and sells it to people as he is the author of
it ..but when it reaches a stable phase i will supply the zw file
there is a bug which is "xxxx" !!..can you fix it ??

The temp is fine but the program is using much of ram so it's better to use the system weather.

may i say that zooper is a new app to the scene of android so its sort of beta so there is alot of work to be done in terms of lightness and functionality

How are you able to change the home screen? Do you need to download a different launcher? I tried to download some wallpapers but they won't save onto the kindle. I am rooted but the UI is not as intuitive as I thought it would be.

There are other threads that explain how to do this. But in a nutshell, you need a file explorer (one that can change rw to r- r) - i use root explorer - and without installing the launcher apk just move it to /system/app and install it in there. Restart kindle. Boom.

Press and hold volume down and power buttons at the same time. The screen will flicker, with some other animation, and the screen shot will be saved.

Its a JPEG. Took a screen shot and changed the format to JPEG. Whatevvvver... It shows up sometimes, other times it doesn't haha.

I'm not home so i can't try it, but give Backgrounds HD Wallpapers from the Play Store a try. It's worked on every device I've tried it on. It has a bunch of wallpapers included and you can download more right from the app (no, I'm not the app DEV!).
I haven't been able to set a wallpaper either - I tried the ICS Gallery from Play and it gave me a "can not save cropped picture" error. Didn't think of this app until I got to the office!
I will try Backgrounds when I get home and let you all know if it works or not (unless I get sidetracked and go to the bar first!_). In that case, it won't be until tomorrow!
I can report that Backgrounds HD Wallpapers works great. It's a big app though.

Good point. I still use widget locker though because it lets you have more than one widget on the screen, like in OP's post. I can't see any way to do that with the native lock screen.

I held down an empty space on the homescreen, clicked on apps>shortcuts>scrolled through and found autohibernate.

I did that adding greenify shortcut on my desktop.. But no luck still the auto hibernating widget is now poping yet on my desktop..but it shows when I will use other launcher like nova launcher,go launcher etc..wondering why??

@piyush95 Just rename this Kitkat icon to home_apptray_icon(the name should be something like this, you will find the name in res/drawable-xhdpi folder) and replace it with the original one.. Use winrar.. For verifying the name, u can always extract and see the image with the similar name and then rename and drag it to that destination in the apk..

I am unable to resize ! . I select 1x1 . Then when i resize , there is empty space on the sides of the widget? i also tried so scale using zooper but that to no avail
Any help ?

Width / height margin to none ? Did that mate !
I set the desktop grid to 5x5 select 4x2 zooper and kinda reached there ..

Yes, width and height. Set desktop to 10x7. Work for me.

I had the same problem but if you add the widget as 4x4 instead of 1x1 and then resize it stays sharp (for me anyway).
