You should be asking that question yourself, can you do it? The answer is, out ofy knowledge, yes. I would suggest, the easiest way I know. VulirtualBox, install windows on it and then root it from there. Also, which version of android do you have on your kindle? If it is 13.3.2.2 then there is no written exploit at this time, but if you have 13.3.1 then you are in luck! Go ahead and read the earlier posts on this section of this forum.

Yes, look at the how to root Kindle Fire ND with Mac/Linux thread in the 7" Kindle Fire HD (not HDX) General thread to get started with setting up your Mac for rooting. The download in that thread will not work for the box but the procedure will. It may seem complicated but it's worth working through. Also see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917237 for a how to on setting up ABD on a Mac.
As stated above a root exploit currently exists only for the earlier version of Fire OS though it appears that progress is being made on the current version for the 7" HDX.

Or simply look on jcases burrito root thread; if you read the thread he has very clearly linked a post for configuring adb on linux than all the directions for rooting are there...

This is your best bet for right now. Me and a couple others are working on a Mac tool. I would like to port it to linux but it will probably be a couple weeks before I have time. We should have the Mac version done in about a week or less.
It can be found here
Probably using the same utility you tried to hijack from me before.

after that my kindle fire hdx 7 tablet dead ...!
anyone have how to repair the problem .?? thanks .
Re:
I might be able to answer the following
I thought that the old method was so incompatible that it would fail epically without leaving any problems? Well if it has adb access you might get lucky, I'd ask around in the hdx section, the hdx has its own sub-forum, they might be able to help, try perusing one of the initial root attempts threads from before a definite root method was made, might find someone that did something similar.

Is it possible to root my Kindle Fire? (5.3.3.0)

Hello everybody!
I have a 5th generation kindle fire running version 5.3.3.0 I have gotten it to install google services and the play store but I have yet to actually root my device. I have tried looking for guides on xda for rooting my specific version but I cannot find anything. If possible, can someone notify of a guide which tells me how to root my tablet?
Thank you in Advance,

If you have an HD 8, try Kingroot and or Kingoroot. If they don't work, then there's no root yert.

Root Fire HD 8 (6th gen) running Fire OS 5.6.2.0

I can't find any posts anywhere on this. It's either I find how to root Fire OS 5.6.2.0 on different devices, or how to root it on my exact device, but older versions.
Well yeah, anyways I just really need to root this device. This is the only thing I have at the moment, and I need mods for my games and such. It would be a big help if you can guide me on how to root this. Thanks.

Downgrade Kindle Fire HD 8 2017

Hi all!
I have a Kindle fire hd 8 from 2017.
It has fire OS 5.6.4.0 (636559920) I try to root and unlock the tablet using the guide in the forum, but as I understand the system is on the last update and can't be rooted this way.
So I was wondering if I can downgrade the tablet to a previous version and root it, also I'm not afraid to open my kindle.
