Did you use vroot ? I've used it and worked. But first, open the USB Debugging mode don't forget this option.

do you have usb debugging enabled?
Geez...
Still? People have rooted since October...
Download SuperOneClick, run as administrator, check Unknown Sources and USB Debugging, plug in, click Root.
Just use the flashtool. Its the easiest way to root. Simply plug in your phone and press the button, works everytime on every FW.

Why to 480? xD
You should flash a KDZ in it. And start again. Look for guides about flashing
does antitheft interfere??

That don't make any diference. More DPI means things getting bigger. And you set things a LOT bigger...
Follow this tutorial. But download your KDZ from this page

i got a similar problem sometimes ago when i was joking with my phone, likely i had cwm, so no problem...
for you, that you still on a locked bootloader the only way is to use kdz and flash stock firmware so your build.prop will be restored too and dpi will be normal
to use kdz if you can NOT enter in debug usb, use EMERGENCY mode, switch off your phone and pressing vol- connect it to your pc, wait the driver and then flash a firmware maybe with cwm included and nothing else
you ll be able to use your phone again ahah

Secret mode in Samsung browser gone after root

I recently rooted with cf autoroot and now secret mode with fingerprint authentication from the Samsung browser is gone. If I press more I can open a secret tab, but without fingerprint. Is there anyway I can get this back?

Your private mode must be enabled already. That's why. To enable private mode, you need a pin / fingerprint.

Samsung decided with marshmallow to disable that feature if the Knox flag was triggered. You need the modded apk which removes this check.

When I try to enable it, it says private mode failed to activate.

I actually already did, it didn't help. Maybe because that's for the note 5?

I would recomend you to download a custom rom which has the modded apk, extract the apk from the rom, delete yours and reboot. Then put the modded apk in the exact place where the original was, put rw-r-r permissions and reboot

That's strange, because it worked for me. Did you clear cache?
Maybe deleting all the update before flashing the zip will help.
Yet I didn't found same problem.

Renovate edge has it, very good ROM by the way
I would still like to know if this is possible to implement. I'm currently using ther superman ROM which doesn't have the modded apk, I talked with the developer and he will look into it, but this is a very important feature for me and I really need it.
Anyone else found anything?

Can anyone knows how to fix this?
SECURE FOLDER
• secure folder cannot be set up because unauthorized software was installed on the device
SECRET MODE ON SAMSUNG INTERNET BROWSER
• Rooting detected.
For your security, secret mode can't be used on rooted phone's.

Even if you flash the original firmware, you will not be able to use the security features anymore (in some custom roms, some features do work). Once you root, the knox flag changes permanently!

Ohhhh that's why, thank you sir
recently i have rooted my samsung j5 2015 and i have unrooted the android phone using smartswitch the browser is showing root detected what is the problem
Install samsung internet beta. For some bizarre reason it doesn't check the knox flag and you can set up the secret mode. (Working on my S7 flat with stock firmware but with knox tripped)

Stuck on Android 4.4 CUCC

Hi Folks,
my situation is the following, I'm stuck on Android 4.4 CUCC. My cellphone wont get recognized by the PC, I think it is something related to the SIM Card reader according to a post in another website.
So, i would like to downgrade to Android 4.3 but I cant get root access and I cant change recovery or whatsoever.
I was thinking, maybe, from recovery install directly the old firmware but with the current recovery.
I dont want to brick the cellphone or something.
What do you think? Would that work? Any other suggestion?
Or a way to get root access or install at least the play store?
Thank you in advance
Why you can't change recovery?

There's no flashable zip for 4.3, so, the only thing you can do is flash custom-stock based Lollipop ROMs, or another custom ROM.
