the specific model of tv doesnt have anywhere miracast..
its have wifi direct etc...
and intel widi..
and when i enable screen mirroring from mobile and enable intel widi then its shows me on my phone the tv..
but when i connect its shows me that doesnt support it :/

are you maybe on custom rom? because i have almost the same model of lgtv and it worked when i was on regular samsung rom now on xtrestolite rom isnt working.
also had w-fi direct on and intels widi on

What do you want to do with it connected. If it's just watch streaming videos like YouTube then Chromecast is a better option

You need another device, usually a Miracast-supported TV, or a Miracast-supported HDMI dongle, to get the mirrored screen.

Is that Miracast supported? You can connect it or do the screen mirroring if it is Miracast supported.

Sorry, but have to ask - does your TV support it? What is the model#?
If it does, you should be able to enable it then just turn on screen mirroring on your phone.
My Samsung TV doesn't have the option for screen mirroring built in, but I accomplish it with what I do have - the MHL HDMI dongle and the allshare cast. One is a direct connection, the other is wireless.
I'd imagine it works the same as the allshare cast hub. When it's on,all I need to do is turn on screen mirroring from the notification window and it automatically connects to it. If you share the model of your TV myself or someone can look it up. Or you can check out your manual first then go from there. Without knowing what you have, here's an example :
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/howtoguide/N0000058/6528/41579/UN55ES6500FXZA
AFAIK it has to be a newer model for the mirroring without the dongles. : http://developer.samsung.com/forum/thread/is-it-possible-to-test-screencast-using-eclipse-simulator/141/219986#post1
Hope that helps.
Can a rooted phone screen mirror? I just got a new 60in samsung but I cant get mirroring to work. It connects and then drops a few seconds after.

I had to update the ROM in my smartv before I could connect my phone to the TV and then toto the phone. Some samsung devices can mirror the TV as well as have the TV.

LN32D403E4DXZA specifications don't indicate built-in support for miracast. So you would need to get either the Allshare cast, or another miracast adapter like the netgear push2tv (PTV3000 or PTV2000) to be able to mirror your phone to the TV.

Certainly.
Personally, I find that short cable inconvenient, but that's just me. If the goal is to play movies on the phone and mirror to TV, sure. But I end up wanting to share pictures or short videos taken on my phone, on the big screen. For that, I would prefer the ability to have the phone with me (on the couch) and not have to stand next to the TV with that short cable connecting it to my phone.
For now, I'm using the Roku (juice channel) to share local video/pictures, but is not the best option because it doesn't let me share my pictures/videos from dropbox or other online storage sites. I have to download it to my phone first.
Waiting for the wireless mirroring options to drop further in cost

For sure! I prefer not to have it directly connected -but was more for the sake of informing the OP.
I use the mhl dongle it like you mentioned, if we're watching something that doesn't require me to babysit the phone lol.
I got lucky when Samsung was having a 50% off promo and I picked up the allshare hub then. None of my TV's are "smart" TV's, so it works well for my "dumb" TV's.
Also, a while back, I picked up a pogoplug for under $20 and I use that for storage- kinda like a "mini NAS". You can hook up usb drives (flash or harddrives) to it and right now I basically have a couple of flash drives to serve the media to phone, so it's cool for mirroring or just while out and about. Pretty cheap, quick and doesn't require much effort so it was well worth it for me...it comes in handy because it's set up so I don't have to do any transcoding for videos - I just use the mxplayer app and the phone does the rest.
There is one thing I have yet to try, just for curiosity's sake - to run xbmc on my S4 while it's connected to the TV with the wired MHL dongle, then use my wife's phone or my tablet with an xbmc remote app to connect to and control the videos to play from the s4 while mirrored...
That's cool with the roku. Have you tried just using something like couchyplay http://www.roku.com/channels/#!details/19661/couchy-play
or rodropbox http://www.roku.com/channels/#!details/18042/rodropbox so you don't have to d/l to your phone from dropbox?
You could even use something like the cloudpipes app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maximussoft.cloudpipes&hl=en to automate moving/copying files back and forth on dropbox while you're not using your phone (at work or sleeping ..or whatever)

Hey guys!
Iam curious on how to use screen mirroring to play games on my LG smart tv
Do i have to buy this?

Or this?

Or something else, or is there another way to do it wirelessly without having to buy acessories?
Thanks in advance

I have one of these - Samsung Wi-Fi Display Hub for Galaxy S2/S3/S4/Note 2 - Black . Works well but I did find you need "Official" statuses in both bootloader and settings to work with my Note 10.1. Haven't tried with my S4... This is for total screen mirrorring. It shows everything I do on my tablet on screen...
The DLNA sharing is only for movies, music and pictures...
I have a Samsung TV and the DLNA works well...
My advice, look at the reviews and buy the cheapest if the TV you have doesn't support DLNA... I'd check that 1st...

My tv supports DLNA but I'm only interested on screen mirroring.
So that means even if I but the hub it won't work for me because I using omega rom?

Probably not though I have read in the note 10.1 forum of it working. Not to my experience however. I use a rooted stock rom on my SG Note 10.1 I have flashed using Mobile ODIN. I run triangle away 1st and get all Status's "Official" with 0 flash count but when I tried flashing other roms it went ass up... You might be able to try the workaround on triangle away but that requires the paid app...

Thanks. I can buy the app, that's no problem.
So all I need to get for screen mirroring is the hub not the dongle right?
Yep, the hub mirrors everything but the dongle actually says its a DLNA dongle...
screen mirroring
Purchase the allshare dongle, plug in to available hdmi slot, turn on your screen mirroring on your phone, dongle should be recognized...If you get error msg that cannot connect or find the dongle, make sure you have the latest firmware update for the allshare dongle

Screen mirroring not working with my TV - help

Hello,
I am trying to get screen mirroring working between my LG smart TV and s4. I am sure people will say it can't be done with non Samsung products, but check this link from YouTube. video
The problem I have is that the TV can find my S4, but the phone refuses to find the TV. Is there anything I have missed somewhere?
The TV offered to open a screen mirroring connection to the phone, but the phone never displays a dialogue and the mirroring fails.
Has anyone managed to screen mirror to a device other than Samsung? The TV fully supports dlna and miracast, but it's the miracast screen mirroring I am most interested in.
Thanks,
Andy

Yes, it does work with a LG Smart TV. I have it too. But only if you use a fully stock Rom or a Google Edition Rom like the untouched one from MakTail with it's default kernel. Also cm10.2 Roms are working great with then called Wireless Display. I love my AOSP browser on big screen

Sorry i should have said it more clearly;
When i select screen mirroring on my S4 the TV does not show as an available to device to mirror to. They are on the same wifi network.
If i scan from the TV for mirror devices then the S4 shows up. The TV attempts to set up a connection but the S4 does nothing.

In you TV settings does the TV show the word Miracast or only WiFi Direct? It only works if your TV really shows Miracast otherwise you can only use apps on your TV like Youtube and casting button.

[Q] S4 & LG Smart TV Screen Mirroring

Hello everyone,
I apologize in advance if it was asked before.
I have a 47LM6400 smart tv from LG with screen share function.
When I enable if and screen mirroring on S4, it finds my phone, but the phone does not find the tv.
S4 is on 4.3
Am I missing something?

On the remote press on setting and find mira cast or something along the lines, You just have to enable it.
If you still can't find it, I will take pictures and show it to you
Thanks for the reply. My TV has no Miracast support, it says it will use wifi direct, widi, etc...
Tried with my sister's Samsung TV and got the same behavior: the tv finds the phone, but the phone can't find the tv.

Well... after some time spent on the phone, it seems that only LG Smart TV's w/ Miracast support (which is not my case) can do wifi screen share. The functionality of mine is restrict to it using Intel's WiDi. Damn.
