i think my brick my stock rom - Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9" General

hey i need help. i rooted my hdx and then add the thor rom so i can get the play store, it work ok but for some reason in device it say i have 6.54gb free but when i download apps it say it's full. also everytime i boot into the thor rom it always say kindle is upgrading. so i wouldnt to go back to the stock rom. so when i go boot in to the stock rom it's a blink screen, the kinde fire logo doesnt show either, you can see the back light but thats all. do anyone knows how to fix this ? i do have a fastboot cable if i have to restore it.

no one can help at all ? i would had thought someone would had reply by now.

Hi
I have one question, can your computer recognise your kindle? If it can, you are in luck. Get ADB Minimal application on your PC and run the following commands:
Adb devices
If the connected kindle shows up with a massive serial key, be happy.
Then there in :
Adb reboot bootloader
Then follow on screen instructions. It should come up with a kindle fire logo, and some options in a table. There you pick "Restore to factory default"
Or whatever, and then "yes" and then you should have stock Rom back. That worked for me when I messed kindle up and also I found these instructions here on xda by SnegovicRZN.
Thanks)

[SOLVED] Bricked?

SOLVED I have done something very very stupid. I tried flashing a galaxy nexus kernel to my kindle fire. I've been flashing roms/kernals all day to my G-nex and for some reason i was thinking i was on my gnex and i just flashed it in rom manager on my kindle fire (DUMB). Now my KF will only boot into TWRP. I have adb working on my computer if someone could just help me figure this whole shinanigans out.
I was on cm7 when i flashed it. then i tried flashing cm9. it looks like it flashed it right but it wont boot up. it just goes straight to twrp.

Did you select reboot into recovery at any point? From reading other threads, it seems like people get stuck in TWRP due to bootmode settings after choosing that option.
*EDIT* I'm guessing if you used ROM Manager the app defaulted to booting into recovery in order to install the kernel.

Pretty sure. Search the dev forum for how to switch boot modes. I think the Kindle Fire Utility thread would be a good place to start.
if you allready have twrp it should be no problem:

do from the status where you are - means you don't need the twrp installation
Thank you soooooooo much. It worked. It took forever to boot up but it finally did.
glad to help ...
Should change the subject of the topic (edit first post) to [Solved]
They really need to take that reboot to recovery option out lol.

Did you wipe everything you were supposed to before flashing the ROM? I.e. data wipe/factory rest, wipe cache & dalvik wipe?
Which recovery was that; Rom Racers or Rom Manager.... please don't say Tefnars?
If you have a micro SD card, put a fruitcake on it and flash that, or another ROM.

i wiped everything before performing the flash, I was pretty sure backing up everything and restoring it would've been poolproof but i guess not. as of right now im unable to do anything cause i gotta be out, however the first moment i get ill try iinstalling that recovery thing, tho if someone can give me an easy step by step guide i'd feel a bit more assured. i hate for this to be my first post, but damn im freaking out.
thank you for the swift replies guys
i reflashed it when I was out with 50% battery life and for some reason it worked. I don't know if I can recover it back to original state, though I rather not give it a try for now. Gonna enjoy my phone. Thanks for the swift replies!!
BTW, today was my first time plugging it in to my HDTV (i never did it prior to flashing) and I tried to watch videos using its own "entertainment center" software, but videos wont show up on the screen. If i watch it through gallery it works, but i cant make it go full screen, instead it just rotates the screen when i do it, while not making it widescreen. Any idea son how to make this work?
If you're using Redpill then I don't know anything about that. I haven't followed that ROM at all, sorry.

doesn't matter. get into recovery perform a factory wipe, and then install some OTHER rom just so u can make sure it works. Forget about redpill for one sec
You're using an outdated recovery that doesn't support EXT4, so just update recovery and try to flash the rom again.

Good luck.
Put your transformer in APX mode by hold the power button & volume up.. If it turns back on do it again, make sure you have you sync cable plugged in and drivers installed. Now that your in APX download this stock rom then root it with viper (option 1 in viper)

Yes there's a fix in there towards the bottom of the first post.
If you want to flash another recovery, turn your device on into recovery, connect it to your computer and use adb to push the file to your internal storage.
It should be something like "adb push filename.zip /data/media" then you can use the borked recovery you're on to flash the one you pushed.

His problem is with it getting stuck in recovery, which is a known issue with Koush's 5.5.0.4, simple fix with adb. No need to reflash the whole rom.

Stuck at google logo, recovery mode doesn't work?

I seem to have messed up the process. I successfully unlocked and rooted my Nexus 7 but during wipe process using JROM flasher something didn't go right and now I'm stuck at the google logo screen forever. I can boot into fast recovery mode but that's about it. I can't do anything.
I've had this done before on my nexus phone but it seems I managed to f it up this time.
I thought I had a rom zip file copied on to the Nexus 7 but it doesn't show in the menu. Now I'm stuck at the logo screen not having access to any roms to install. How do I reset all of this to factory? I've already checked most of the threads regarding this and haven't been able to find a solution yet.

before you do anything, use your recovery to see if the rom zip is located in /data/media/0/. if its there, flash it from that location.
Are you able to boot into recovery?
If yes, it could be as simple as plugging your tablet into the computer and mounting the usb, drag and drop the rom, and flash it without using a toolkit (only recovery). I'm not familiar with jrom flasher, but i will say the more variables there are, the more chance of a problem.
If no, you're best off running the stock factory image through your computer, found here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#nakasi. I had your problem at one point, and could not even boot into recovery. After trying to install cwm through adb (which failed), and a number of toolkits, the factory image was what brought my nexus back to life.
I remember reading that sometimes a wipe can delete your recovery as well as your system (and whatever else you have on your n7), although i dont know if that was ever fixed, as i got my tab replaced a month or two ago and havent rooted it again yet. There was some type of command or .zip or something that should be used to keep recovery after wipes. When i expirienced problems such as yours, it was also from a bad wipe from a toolkit. Using just the recovery afterwards, i never expirienced any issues, even without the recovery fix.
I would definitely try simms suggestion first if you can access recovery. If that fails, try one of the above processes.
PS, even if you can access recovery, if at this point you just want to go completely stock, the factory image will work regardless.
cheers
Thanks for the help guys, I've been struggling for the past 3~4 hours but I found a solution.
What I did was use JROMFlasher and upload a rom zip to the sdcard directly and go from there.

[Q] "Bootloop" Nexus 7

I panicked and probably did something quite stupid...
So I tried to flash the new cyanogenmod rom to have a taste of kit kat, but then I had the status 7 error.
This never occurred to me before, I didn't keep a backup to fall back onto... ( yes, I am an idiot, I learned my lesson, the hard way)
Than the device won't boot, it shows the Google logo twice, and then goes into the clockwork mod, where you choose to flash roms
and I am stuck.
I tried Nexus Root Toolkit, doesn't help because my device is not booting up, no way can it install the drivers properly...
and I think I did something more ingenious... I just tried anything on the Toolkit, and I got my rooted Nexus 7 locked...
But it's still the same, I am stuck at the clockwork mod thing just as before... Wiped whatever I can. and even formatted the sdcard and system...
Some Android Wizard out there... Please help...
If at boot you go to recovery directly... You have had to flash new version of recovery in wrong partition. You must flash it last version of recovery with "fastboot flash recovery yourrecovery.IMG" (see 'recovery' as partition to flash). Then flash boot and system partitions from factory image (in XDA have you multiples threads about it) if you want to keep your data. If not, flash factory image from usual ways (this wipes your data) and then flash recovery like I say above.
After that, try to flash CM again.
PS: I recommend TWRP instead of CWM.
Sent from my Nexus 7 (grouper) using Tapatalk.
but its more serious than that... My computer doesnt recognize the tablet because of some driver issues... I am not sure, at this moment, whether the USB debugging thing still works
i can only get to the clockwork mod page, bootloader and thats it.
I cant flash anything, I cant transfer files from the PC to tablet....
please, please help.
