[REQUEST][TAB 2 7"][P-3110]Galaxy S5 ROM - Galaxy Tab 2 General

As the title said..Can anyone make a Galaxy S5 ROM? On Samfirmware there is the Official Firmware of Galaxy S5 and I got the SystemUI.apk of it Anyone?
Thank you.

I think it would be easier to port from a tablet based rom.

Buddy porting a rom is verry different from device to device. And to port you need to have a devices with basic similarity like same amount of RAM same processor and same sensors . What you are asking is to high because you cant compare the specs of S5 and Tab 2 they are totally different in terms of specs. so it is nearly impossible to port it without the help of Samsung . At most tab 3 might be of any luck

Bro i know this. I was not asking for porting the S5 ROM from Samsung Galaxy S5. I know that this is impossible. I was asking if someone can mod SystemUI.apk - Framework-res.apk and other things like S5

other devices are all getting S5 theme based roms

[Q] Porting Roms to I9500?

Hey guys, this is kind of a silly question knowing that the two devices (i9500 and i9505) have different processors and graphic cards but is it even possible to port the i9505 custom roms to the i9500?
Developer Question: How hard would it be if possible to port it and how hard would it be to make the rom compatible for both devices?
Thanks in Advance

i guess its possible
compatibility might not be a big issue cause u r just going to port apps, media frameworks and lib files
But u can only port ofiicial 4.2.2 based roms of i9505 to i9500
Which guide r u referring to while porting?

I would say it's nearly impossible, as i9500 and i9505 had different processors, camera sensor, GPU etc. Talking about processors, the Exynos 5 Octa and Snapdragon 600 is a big difference. Those ROM files like lib.so and framework files had already built in for their hardware.
However, I remebered that someone wants to port HTC One ROM to Galaxy S3 International version (Exynos 4 Quad), it worked. But with lots of lots of bugs including lags. When he gaveup he finally stated that it's hard to port ROMs on different hardwares.
Hope this helps

Port this ROM to S4 would be a GREAT idea !:good::good::good::good:
Insert logic here....
Note 3 has a snapdragon 800 while the S4 has the Snapdragon 600.
a post from @Albe95 where he explains everything.
Albe95 said:
Yep I already saw that. How they port that? Simply thanks to Exynos they port full ROM of Note 3 exynos on their S4 exynos. It would be bad for Aosp ROM but Exynos is better for porting (look at Note 2 and S3: they port KitKat on S3 and 4.4.4 of s3 neo on Note 2 because Exynos of these 2 phone are very similar)
Now is that possible for our S4 Snapdragon? No. Why? There is too much difference between Snap600 and Snap800. It's possible to port on Snap800 variant of S4? With most of probably (99%) yes. In fact S5 ROM can completely ported to Note 3 for example (801 vs 800)

[Q] Lollipop rom with Touchwiz and Samsung apps?

I know there is cm12 available and tried it but I really don't like the interface of pure android like on nexus. I was asking if a lollipop rom touchwiz based and with samsung apps (possibly even statusbar and lock screen, just like it is on stock kitkat) will ever be developed.

Probably not man, really hard work, not enough sources and only two Devs making custom roms for this mobile...It's a pity!!!

:crying: As far as Samsung is concerned I don't think they will release the android lollipop update for S3 Neo. And AFAIK no DEV wants TouchWiz. Pure android is much better in functionality. So you may well end up disappointed. Best bet is CM12 only.
I don't know for Touchwiz Apps but for TW Launcher there are a lot of similars into Play Store!

I'm trying to port the s4 mini tw lollipop rom but I NEVER sucessfully ported a rom and I would need some help. More, for now I not asked the rom developer so I don't know if I will have the permissions to port it. And finally, those device hasn't the same screen resolution. I think that the project will fail

Well what i find better in cm12 is more free ram, on stock i always have 1.1gb used. but I dont find anything better in pure android.

Nougat Touchwiz roms

To the people who are going to port the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 to the Note 4. Please for the love of god do not integrate root in the ROMS so that we can use android pay and Pokemon go. Also leave instructions for us to customize the ROM from WIN-RAR so that we wont need to install root into our devices. Thank you
For the last time.. THE GALAXY NOTE 4 DOES NOT BECOME A NOUGAT UPDATE! You can NOT migrate 7.0 Firmeware to 6.0.1 if the hardware is different!

Do not post request in the development threads please. You are more than welcone to port the S8 and Note 8 when they are released yourself. Xda isn't a place to come and get free stuff to make your phone cool, it's a place for developers to come together and share idea's and work

You are right, it isnt completely impossible.
But if you observe, note 3 has more active developers than note 4.
The renowned darkera13 has been working on note 3since the very beginning, even aryamod.
As for note 4, the best is aurora and norma.
Anyways, even if someone is able to port it, forget about those stupid requests, that the OP
has made.
