Think he tried to contact Amazon Customer Service to gain some kind of access to the boot loader but he failed.
I'm probably wrong though...
Obviously trying to get any access to anything thru the manufacture of this device isn't going to get us far though, thanks for trying.

I know that many of you have the same problem and I found that you have the thread about it.
But it's too long for me to follow up. So anybody to tell me what exactly I should do for this problem? When I press volume down + power to go to SimUnlock process, it has a error: MCCMNC, CID failed. On the phone, It can be searched the network.
Please help me, sorry for my bad english.

return the cellphone and get a new one.
Btw, did you tried to unlock it after OTA, or you have not did the OTA upgrade yet?

I did it with OTA not upgrade yet.
You know, the thread about it is too long and sometime I read but cannot understand, it's hard for me to follow up to find the solution. So I want s.o help me clearly and exactly what should I do for this problem, and maybe, it helps others too.

As I said, return the phone and get a new one. At this moment there is no fix for unlocked phone that is not connecting to any network.
Personally I've tried to find the answer for wether OTA solves the issu BEFORE unlock, since from reports I've read that once unlocked and not working OTA does not helps.
Also iwas trying (unsuccessfully) find what OTA really upgrades.

sorry but I have to laugh, dude you need to read the entire post to understand the severity of the issue.
return your fone cause its done no service no fix.
I tried to contact with Tmo but there's no reply from them until now. Further more, many people got this problem too and no solution for this.
I've been searching like a madman trying to figure out why I cannot unlock my bootloader, I have followed Heisenberg's How-To Guide For Beginners to the T and when I get to Motorola's website to get the unlock code I get this message "your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking". My device is one of the one's listed on their website as being able to be unlocked. Can anyone help me figure this out?

I did through chat they gave me a number to call because the person I spoke with couldn't figure it out, I just don't want them to know that I am unlocking it and put me down as a voided warranty. Just figured I'd ask here first before contacted them.

Well, you can't get an unlock code from Moto AND keep your warranty. You don't even have to use it.. once you request it, warranty is gone. Not sure how hard-a$$ed they are about it, but they sure give plenty of warnings during the process.

Good to know, thanks. It's not worth it right now then I'm still covered under warranty for another 8 months and just had to send the phone out for repairs to the USB charging port.

Just call, the warranty will be canceled, but if you relock the bootloader the recovery will tell you, so, just call and get the code, unclock that thing and welcome to the good world of guys with no time :V. Keep us updated.

Since im kinda scared of the whole process and scared to loose my phone i am looking for someone to guide me through the process of rooting my device and installing a custom rom.
we would call via skype or facetime or whatever and do the process together, so in the end i want a rooted phone with SU and custom rom, preferably with TWRP. you tell me what i should prepare to achieve this.
the bootloader is already unlocked, so im not accepting the fact that i already lost warranty and cannot enjoy a custom rom
i would transfer the money via paypal and i am looking for support in english or german.
if someone feels able to help me and wants to make some money, please answer or message me, the details will be talked about via PMs

Yes, you can still get the code and unlock your bootloader. But now you have to use third party software and pay some money. I got my code for 4 euros, that's about 5$.
You can find the instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/how-to-unlock-huawei-bootloader-removal-t3780903
You don't have to follow this guide step-by-step if you know what you're doing. And no need to download the hcu-client, as recommended by the poster. You can get your code by just using dc-unlocker.

Use the Hicare app and ask them for the code. Hicare->online assistance. I ask them if after the site shutdown they would still be possible to give me the unlock code and they said yes.
I've done some searching and I couldn't find any straight forward info about how to relock the bootloader and reencrypt my OP5.
I'll sell it but the buyer asked for it.
Can anyone shed some light and/or direct me to a thread I can rely on in order to do so?

if the customer wants it all stock, u can use that unbrick tool. it'll get ur device all stock again (I guess). do some research bout it before, as I'm still a newbie nd this may just seem a bad idea.
