do post indian customization number and indian FTF for Z2

Do they say what's different? I'm anxiously awaiting the Exchange security fix (to allow PIN instead of just Password).

Many Thanks
Does this have operator bloat?

I use the Nine exchange mail client to fix that. It's much better than the stock mail app.

Yes this seems to be the only difference is this update. Exchange e-mail using the stock app still requires a password instead of a PIN.
Also, there seems to be a slight improvement in performance, but that just might be psychological.

somebody pls reupload. link is no longer working.

Try the software update on the computer and you should get the update easily, I already update mine with computer software.

Sweet, gotta try this out when I get home. I hope it improves the issue with my wifi dropping so easily. Does it?

Anyone got it yet ?
The display bug rectifying update, isn't it?
Just because a firmware gets certified is no reason that it will be released.

Z1 14.1.G.2.259 seems a update for only some carrier based operators so far. May not roll on other Z1 devices.
Interestingly, the 14.1.G.2.257 firmware (which has been released) was only certified yesterday.
Already seen on some devices from two german carriers.
Hope sony will release a roll out note with improvements includet in the update.

Anyways, it seems that the UK unlocked LTE models have still not got the .257 update and good luck to getting the .259 ones soon... I know for sure that the French ones have started receiving the .257 update and an ftf must be somewhere in the General section ftf thread... Have a look there...

I hope it's 4.3. It will be nice to be up to date without losing the T Mobile features like wifi calling.
I assume we will have to flash back to a 6606 ROM to get this OTA when it rolls out?

Eh. 4.3 won't see much change as far as the average user on XDA is concerned. If you want real up to date i'd be waiting for kitkat, til then im sticking with miui, which ironically is based on the sony 4.2.2 firmware atm.

Unable to Install
My US Tmo Xperia Z is failing to install it. It boots to recovery, starts the update, and then reboots. My only changes is root and a few removed bloatware.
Can this be rooted? Also I know that there is sometimes an issue with ota updates of you change any of the system apps, I didn't remove any bloatware for this reason, only froze the apps in TB. Will I be able to install the update fine if I just unfreeze the apps?

Adds camera access from lockscreen? I can already do that with 4.1.2 though?
The only thing I was waiting for with 4.2.2 was just to use my ps3 controller on the phone

All I wanted 4.2 was native group chat in the stock messaging program. But I'm actually a bit pissed. Sony is releasing 4.3 soon and now T-Mobile decides the 4.2 software is read to release. Crock of **** this is. Wonder how long they will hold off updating the phone 4.3.

Thats why ill be pleased to just slap the 6603 kit kat firmware on mine when it comes out, and keep my tmobile baseband handy. I hated the phone the way it came from tmobile, it ran far better immediately after switching to generic unbranded.

Z5(6653)
Z5C(5823)
Z5P(6853)
Maybe released in the following days for other items...
Has anyone else noticed double tap to wake is working correctly in this update? After testing it out this weekend, I haven't had the screen accidentally turn on while it has been in my pocket.
I have just updated and i can say that phone is smoother and there is no more lag when you try to view picture that you have taken inside camera app it shows it almost immediately also launching camera app is faster for me and photos are taken faster and with less noise in night.
Thats the things that i noticed from my view on my z5p a guess it the same things for z5.
Also mobile data icon is now separate from signal icon
I'm gonna sound stupid , but I need to ask any way. Where can I get the FTF file ? I just got mine today , it's a carrier bloated version I need to install the stock one. Thank you in advance.

Your carrier one is still stock. So what you mean you want a cleaner stock ftf, which will change the carrier or even the region.
Here is a list of latest ftfs, assuming you have Z5.

Or download XperiFirm.

Thank you!
Yesterday the update notification disappeared, now it says I'm up to date. I didn't install this update, still at .305.
Anyone else?
