How to root the new system?14.3.3.2 - Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9" General

Jesus Christ, it's like diamonds in general with no chink in one's armour!

good waste of a thread

And wasted money on Amazon, save those for Nexus if you are after rooting/mod fun.

Sadly you can not root the latest update as of yet, but it will come, I've been trying everything I can think of. Just be patient.

on no:crying:

If you saw the last post in hashcodes's thread, they just rooted 11.3.3.2 on hd 2013... I'm sure 13.3.3.2 for hdx 7 and 14.3.3.2 for hdx 8.9 isn't that much different.

No, qualcomm and TI is not the same at all.
And I just cannot find any information about 13.3.3.2, as the latest update on Amazon website is 13.3.2.2

It's good to know that you found it, now how about sharing what you've found with the rest of us? That's kinda the point of these forums!
I haven't found any one click root options for the a500 on ICS yet. Would be nice to know if there is one.
What a useless post without sharing your findings.
Maybe they are referring to this:
http://forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=350
It was originally done for the leak but [reading on to around apr 21st [page 9]] it might work for OTA. If anyone tries it, post back.

Fully functional Jelly Bean ROM!!!

Did u guys see a dev has done up a JB rom for the GNex already? Wow, devs are no joke!

What they did is extract the rom from the io units and modified a bit to get lte nothing special

Good to hear. I am assuming it won't be too long before we'll have it also

That's exactly what happened, but to say it was no big deal is foolish. It may not have been as awesome as building from the source that does not exist yet, but to get a bunch of noobs who don't know how to flash anything onto Jellybean and to even have the idea to extract the OTA from the I/O devices is a little bit more than "nothing special"
What I meant is that it could have been done sooner or later with all of the devs at io. What else do you expect them to do with a dev phone loaded with exclusive access to jb. Jeez I'm not trying to steal credits here look at my sig I'm not even a android user (yet). My point is it's not worth to celebrate something like that by opening a thread just keep going on existing threads.

The Jelly Bean OTA people flashed is just a preview, it won't be fully available until mid-july.

Tab 2 10.1 over clock CM9 kernel

It doesn't seem like there's one available. Would there be any interest in me porting the kernel I made for the 7 over?
Or is there already a CM9 overclock kernel I'm not seeing?
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda premium
Yes please, we need it ! How much do you think it can go up ? 1,4 GHz ? and can you also OC the GPU and RAM which are also a little slow ?
Heck yes there is interest. I would love one and I know other 10 users would too. I think the issue with most here is that they've grown quiet and worried there won't be anymore development.

There's more than 4 people interested; like I said you won't find very many people being vocal here.
Good luck if you do.

Already finished. Few driver differences. Tweaks here and there. Code differences.
Should be posted shortly. No clue if it works or not though.
Thanks. Will definitely help decide me to CM9 ;0

I could use some help as well. I just want to be able to root and install the new CM10 Rom that is out there. The OTA ICS update has made my tablet almost unusable. Anything you can do will be appreciated.

Because the tools involved are dangerous and cause permanent damage to the emmc, the method isn't especially difficult, but the tools are just to dangerous to let loose.
So a guide can be done up, but without the tools available to everyone its kind of pointless lol

He's being facetious, since this is an asinine thread. Remember the adage- ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer? The OP is deserving of a facepalm, so it seems his naivety was played upon.

It has been proven, "facetious" and "satire" don't work on public forums.
Forums only activate the lowest 10 percent of available brain cells.
Only thing lower would be Yahoo news report reader comments.

The Question is Do you need Root Today.\?
You do not have to ask permission to root or not..With this being a nexus and knowing you made backups(well even if you did not) you can very easily go back to Stock or near stock.
I think google is going to skip the 42 update . They are may be afraid someone will have a heart attack caused by over excitment for the push of the file.. They will delay it to a less enthusiastic time...
