[Q] How to get root for Omnirom when no recovery mode is available? - Omni Q&A

Hi there,
I am searching for hours for a solution to my Problem and could not find the trick. Hopefully someone can help me here...
I am trying to get root on my Car Navi which uses Omnirom (4.4.2) issued by its manufacturer. I've read that one simply should flash supersu.zip in recovery mode. The problem is that there is no documentation on how to enter the recovery mode on the device. When flashing new firmware/android, one simply insert a sd card with the new firmware and the flashing process starts automatically on reboot.
Is there another way to get root access for Omnirom kitkat? I've tried Framaroot without luck.
Thanks for any help.

Um, Omni does not currently ship preinstalled on any device, and as a result, it's impossible to be running Omni without access to a custom recovery, since you need a custom recovery to install Omni in the first place.
Whatever your navigation system is running, it is NOT Omni, and as a result, this is not the correct place to be posting about issues with your device.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I just went to omnirom.org and there was a link to this forum.
This is a little bit weird: Omni was not preinstalled but the update(Omni) came directly from the manurfacturer (sntron.com).
In my case no recovery mode is accessible. As I've written in the 1st post, I copied the update on a sd-card and booted from it so that the updated installs automatically.
Attached is a picture of what is installed.
Thanks for any info.

wtf...
This is weird. That would make this device an unofficial kang that not a single member of the Omni team was aware of until now...

Need the Stock-Rom for the Mojo. Please Help

in short: i need the mojo`s stock android rom in a form wich i can flash with twrp!
Hey Guys,
i am new here. i can t undersund why i can t directly write this thread in the mojo dev section where it belongs: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mad-catz-mojo/development
it says i have not enough rights for that - not understundable for me.
to the case:
already from the beginning i had the mojo, i worried becouse there were no recovery system like romanger or twrp available. i worried, if i make me the whole work, with installing configuring apps and system and an error occured, that i will have no posibility to play a working backup back and exact like that, it was comming:
suddenly sixaxis app wasn t working anymore and gave me the error-message: couldn t load hcl-library-something.
i deletet data and cache of this app, deinstalled, reinstalled, still the same proplem. so my worst nightmares came true.
now i had the choice to set the system to factory defaults (not sure if with this the spoken error were fixed) and lose everything and make the whole work again, or forget it and put the mojo to ebay or to look if in the meanwhile a recovery system is available so that i would have the whole work again, but then, through the posibility of recovery i am on the safe side.
so i decide it and i found out that now a twrp was available and and a unoffical cm12 rom:
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][mojo] CyanogenMod 12 Mad Catz M.O.J.O: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mad.../rom-cyanogenmod-12-mad-catz-m-o-j-o-t2976401
let me say, that i am not a linuxfreak or a nerd. i see me as an enduser. i want to use things only, i don t have the time, nerves and even the intention to be more.
explanation: if you want for example fly to anywhere, you must not know how exact a plain is working, becouse you only want to use it.
so you buy an ticket jump into the plain and thats it.
i say that through i am no expert, i managed to install twrp and i managed to flash the custom rom.
then the problems began. after flashing it seems that i have no root. so i must research an half day to find out that you must hit seven times dev options to give the root setting free. i don t understund why people do this and don t give this information clear out. if anyone is able to install an costum rom, then you must not save him, with trying to hide the posiblity of root! this makes no sense for me.
my problem actual is that i need the stock rom, becouse the only thing i ever wantet was a working recovery system and this i have now.
i only installed the cm12 rom, becouse there was no stock rom, so i have had no choice.
I hope anyone can provide me the orginal mojo stock rom that i can flash it with twrp.
so if possible, please help me.
best regards

Flash, the remix OS rom first and then flash this rom. It has to do with the partition structure. i was also unable to flash the stock rom after having CM12 on my mojo, but I first flashed remix OS and then was able to flash the stock rom.
I'm now running the stock rom happily and will not go back to any custom roms. The bottom line is that there is just one dev doing custom rom work and while I appreciate his work, It just doesn't seem like any of the custom roms are there yet in regards to stability.
Is there a keyboard sequence to get into recovery? I have bricked my MOJO because I failed to realize that it failed to flash the stock firmware after I wiped it.
(EDIT) I found a solution to the above!
Okay so the method I used to get into recovery is to use the MoDaCo root tool and edit the superboot-windows.bat file and change boot.superboot.img
to twrp-2.8.7.0-mojo.img. Of course you have to have the TWRP image as well to do this. This got me into TWRP, but the following issue still stands.
Okay, I can't seem to get Remix OS or the factory rom to install, CM12 installs fine though, anyone know how to fix this?
Side note:
I have a TWRP backup of my other MOJO but TWRP doesn't see anything when I choose restore, and I have tried choosing internal and SD card for the source to no avail, does anyone know how to get around that? Or is this just a current issue with this version of TWRP on the MOJO?
Please help need mojo stock rom

To 1eyedmonster I had left information but I will explain how to do this if you can use ( Firefox internet browser ) you can download the stock frameware from madcatz site where you can find stock 4.2.2 for the m.o.j.o. link to original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/mad...refox-to-download-madcatz-mojo-4-2-2-t3431587

[Q] Phone has no recovery and other issues.

First want to say hi and that this site is full of knowledge so any help with my subject will be great.
Got a att s4 sgh-i337 phone. I rooted it before the lollipop ota update was out and everything went fine. Then the lollipop update came out and I followed one of the methods on keeping root and updating to 5.0.1 lollipop on the phone. Everything went fine with that. Still showed root status and never did the phone brick or have any issues in the updating.
At some point though, I did run triangle away because I would have the custom logo and opened padlock when the phone would boot up. I knew it wasn't a huge deal but the counter showed correct and never could just figure out how to get it to go away. Either way, I did run it and I think rebooting twice, the factory loading image came back to it. Now it shows my current status as 0 for the counter and the binary is Official.
I have not tried to load any roms or nothing like this to the phone, just followed the instructions to give it root access so I could run a few different apps and adaway for when I listen to Spotify.
One day, I was trying to install a new version of Words with Friends and it failed because I think wwf was open, but I did go back and install it. For some reason now, my phone never notifies my with a wwf notification when somebody plays me. Every now and then, it might pop up when I restart the phone but that is it. I don't think facebook notifies me everytime also but was more worried about words with friends.
Searching google, it says to go into recovery mode and flash the cache of the phone there. I have done the cache memory in the phone but that has not fixed my problem. When trying to go to recovery, it never works, it would always show, recovery booting and then load the phone up as normal.
I have download quick boot and rom manager since they all have an option to boot into recovery rather than pressing the buttons but it always does the same thing. Reading the web though, it seemed like I needed to install a different recovery than the factory I guess, so using rom manager, I tried twrp and that didn't work so I installed ClockworldMod 6.0.4.7. Rom manager shows that as the current recovery method.
When I try to boot into recovery, it still shows that recovery is booting and then goes straight to loading the phone as it should normally.
Now though, every time I restart my phone, it says recovery is trying to boot but never does.
How do I fix my phone to be able to boot into recovery and it not try to boot every time it powers on. I have tried searching google but I just just can find an answer to my direct problem. I know how to hold the buttons and go to recovery but does not work, and I also know how to get to it from the different app programs(rom manager and quick boot) but they do not work either. It would be nice to get the wwf notifications to work properly again also.
If you need any information from my phone, please ask. Thanks for any help on my matter,
Charlie
Odin stock and start over.
Apparently, you are not aware that the boot loader is locked, preventing the installation of a custom kernel. You can not use twrp, or rom manager. Rom manager itself may cause issues.
I agree you should flash back to stock and start over to get a clean install. Hopefully, this will solve the issues with notifications as well. You can use the "[GUIDE]Odin to Stock, Updating, Rooting, and Installing Safestrap" by guut13 in the general forum for files and instructions.

Thanks for the replies guys, I really don't know a whole lot about rooting other than following instructions about it. I was unaware you could not use the twrp or cwr as a recovery. My recovery did not work before so that is why I was trying to install those. I knew you could not install custom roms but I did not know that you could not use rom manager to install custom recoveries.
I appreciate the help so far and I will look into that thread you mentioned. I haven't read it but will this take me back to stock lollipop 5.0.1 and I just reinstall apps or will I have to re-root the phone.
Charlie
please delete, sorry
Charlie
You have to go back to 4.4.4, to the nb1 base, root with towelroot, and then use the keeproot method to get back to 5.0.1 rooted. The instructions are in the guide, and also a link to the keeproot thread is there.
By the way, for future reference, questions, help and troubleshooting issues should go in the Q&A forum, not the general forum.
not having any luck
Ok guys,
I am trying to follow the guide but not having much luck.
I downloaded the I337UCUFNB1_4.4_Stock_Odin_tar and put it in the AP Odin file. I'm not sure if I should be using it or the other file named I337UCUFNB1_4.4_Rootable_Stock_Odin_tar to begin with. The instructions said to use the first one so that is the one I was trying to use.
After putting the first file in the AP slot of Odin and hitting start, it begins to try to do it's thing and then says it fails!
What do I do now? Am I doing something wrong or what because I'm trying to follow instructions but not having much luck.
Please help. Sorry for posting in the wrong area also in the beginning.
Charlie
I'm screwed
Now when I turn my phone on, it says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again?
doing better now
Pretty sure I got it going finally. I changed cords and then changed ports on my computer and it finally did go back to stock without an error. I'm currently back on Lollipop and rooted so now is the fun of reinstalling contact info and anything else. So far I have not rebooted but it was not showing the recovery booting option when it did reboot. Hoping my notifications work properly now also!
Thanks!!!
Charlie

J500FN rapidly running out of space

As a bog standard user I naively assumed that I could put apps on my SD card as and when I wanted. Instead the majority refuse to be put there or cause problems.
If I root my Samsung J500fn (Marshmallow) will I be able to chose the location for putting apps? Can I get rid totally of the stuff Google/Samsung think I need but I never use? Can I make better use of my SD card that is practically empty? Are there any drawbacks to keeping Marshmallow as installed or would rooting overwrite it? Is there a better way than to root? Is "One Click root" safe to use? Am I better of using various programs like Odin, TWRP etc. mentioned in various threads here?
Thanks to any and all who can answer my questions. :fingers-crossed:

Hi Anne,
We all have the same trouble with storage on our J5.
If you chose to root your phone then yes you will be able to uninstall alot of the bloat ware that is on your phone.
You will also have the option of using adaptable storage.
There are lots of threads on here that will guide you through the process. Just make sure that you read the guides properly and download and install the CORRECT zips.
I don't know if the one click root is safe to use.
I would advice installing TWRP and then flashing super su. Again all of the guides are on here.
If you do install TWRP via Odin then you will have the option of flashing custom ROMs..
Have a good look at the guides. Ask all the questions that you need to. People in here will be happy to help.
It's really nice to see you on here
Have fun
John

Hi again, thanks for asking.
I downloaded TWRP from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=55922, version for SM-J500FN dated May 6, 2016. Also ODIN-v3.10.7 and SU SR4-SuperSU-v2.78-SR4-20161115184928 as well as the Samsung USB drivers. All check sums were fine. Odin 3 installed fine on my PC. I used Odin 3 to install the TWRP on my phone. However, when I try to go into Volume up - home - power on - I get a screen that does not resemble at all what I thought TWRP should look like.
I get the yellow/green Android thingy which says "installing system update" follows by "no command" followed by a screen which says:
Android Recovery
MMB29M.J500FNXXU1BPH1
samsung/j5nltexx/j5nlte
6.0.1/MMB29M/J500FNXXU1BPH1
user/release-keys
Use volume up/down and power. (all in yellow)
Followed by a menu which includes "apply update from SD card" but which doesn't install the SU zip file that I put in the download section of the SD card.
--------
So I am a bit lost and bewildered. Is the menu correct for TWRP? I haven't seen anything on the web or in YouTube that looks at all like what I'm getting. Did TWRP install properly - Odin 3 seemed to think so, but I'm beginning to wonder.
Any help, comment appreciated.

If your phone is looking like that then you have the wrong version of TWRP for the version of android that your using.

You want the one by Garnesh Varma which if on the Roms & kernels thread

Hi john,
Following your suggestion I downloaded the TWRP version http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/recovery-samsung-galaxy-j500f-t3416960 by searching for Garnesh Varma. It successfully installed, but the problem remains the same. I do not get the TWRP recovery page just the same as before.
I shall continue to look to see if I can find another version from Garnesh, although it seemed correct ie SM-J500FN Android version 6.0.1 Build number MMB29M.J500FNXXU1BPH1, security patch level 1 August 2016.
Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again,

Ahah! The trick was to turn off the phone and not to permit ODIN to do a reboot. I didn't know how to turn off so I pulled the battery. Then went into volume up - home - power on and got the correct menu. Whew. Rooted now according to root checker. Now to get some of the stuff off the phone and make some space.#
Thanks for your help,

@webelan
Hello Anne!
Once you are rooted you can remove any Google/Samsung app. But removing some system apps can lead to bootloop. You can recover from bootloop by re-flashing stock rom.
I can make a flashable zip which removes unnecessary system apps, including the Google/Samsung apps which you want (you flash the zip in recovery and you're done). So let me know which Google/Samsung apps you wanna remove.
You can find some more basic informations in our Q&A thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/how-to/galaxy-j5-qa-thread-galaxy-j5-series-t3382922 .
I recommend you to try cm 12.1 (5.1.1 lollipop) by Nick Verse if you don't care about Samsung Camera, Memo and Browser. I use Open Camera, Color Note and Dolphin Browser (has sound/brightness sliders in videos) as alternatives. Unlike Touchwiz, CM 12.1 is faster than Touchwiz and has more free ram. But latest release has a bug (random reboot reported by users) which can be fixed manually. I'm running latest release without any problem.
Have a nice day!

Don't know if I should start another thread but...
I used Aps2SD to create a second partition on my phone after making a backup of the SD card using that program. Restored the SD card and then I linked various apps to the new partition. When everything was done, and working, I used the option "Broken ap cleaner" just in case there were any residue files with "select all"
My error may have been to do a hard shutdown afterwards because now I get "Android System There's an internal problem with your device, and it may be unstable until you factory data reset." Then several aps, including a Google app, Photos, CM security and Gmail stop, in fact all those that run automatically at startup. Gmail and Google are on the internal drive now but were previously linked; CM is on the external partition still. The first thing after that I noticed after the hard shut down was that the icons for linked aps had disappeared and the aps keep stopping if I try to run them.
I read the Aps2SD FAQ and followed the two suggestions regard SU, ie "enable su at boot" and disabled "namespace separation" option.
Any suggestions? Should I
(a) do a "factory data reset"
(b) wipe the SD card and partition and completely reinstall the aps I want? Although if Google app is not working don't know if it can be reinstalled as I'm not sure which oneis meant.
(c) Bite the bullet and install a custom rom?
(d) something else?
Any help as usual very much appreciated,
Anne

It sounds like the app has been corrupted, don't really know how to best advice you.
It sounds like you have to do s factory reset.
I would install a custom ROM.
The only trouble with this is that all the roms have just been shut down so you will have trouble downloading any.
Why model do you have ?
If you want to use a custom ROM pm me and I will send you a link.
The custom roms are much better (in my opinion )

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the offer. So far I have not deleted anything but have used software to partition my SD card and to move stuff out of internal memory onto it - or rather link it. I managed to mess up a bit but seem to have recovered - or at least got a phone with items I want to use. Next week when I've more time I'm hoping to install a Custom ROM. In the meantime I've spent what little time available trying to read as much as I can so that when I do put a Custom ROM on, it goes right first time.
Best wishes,
Anne

Hi Anne!
Note that once you flash TWRP, Knox will become 0x1 (initially is 0x0) which means that you void the warranty. In my opinion, I don't care about the warranty because I prefer to have a better experience with my phone. I cannot live without root after I rooted a phone for first time
Regarding the ROM, if you wanna try cm12.1 (which I recommend it, best ROM which is closest to AOSP and never lagged) I'll recommend you to wait some more time because I'll download CM 12.1 sources and build a new update with the help of Nick Verse . He doesn't have enough space on his PC to have both cm12 & cm13 sources. I'm currently trying to extend my Linux partition to have enough space to build though. Is needed about 80gb in total average and I have about 20 and can't resize my partition. I might try to reinstall Linux.
If you have any other question, feel free to ask here (new thread if it's related to something else) or PM me.
Have a nice day!
Robert.
Having a similar issue, i have got my phone so it boots to TWRP 3.1.1-0 but cannot find a ROM file that will install, they all seem to be for j5nlte, even if the file name states j5nltexx. I have tried to ammend/remove the assert lines in the install package to no avail...
any advice would be good
Thanks in advance

[HELP] I would like to go into developer options but I can not

Hello to all,
first of all sorry for my English, i'm using google translate, I do not know if you can help me here.
I bought this jewel from Gearbest and arrived yesterday.
I would like to unlock the bootloader and root it following this wonderful guide , but I can not get into developer options, I get the error "the settings application crashed abnormally"
I wanted to do this via the toolkit, but in EDL mode the phone is not recognized, maybe because in developer options I have to select the OEM UNLOCK.
The only good thing is that it recognizes usb debugging mode (at least I think) because I see the debug notification icon.
I can not understand where it came from, I went into bootloader mode but did not release me information.
From the onscreen screen I can only provide these info:
model number zte a2017g
version android 6.0.1
kernel version 3.18.20
build number zte a2017gv1.0.0b11
baseband version th.2.0.c1.9-00050-m8996faaaanazm
The MiFlavor version is 4.0
The smartphone does not receive OTA updates. I downloaded the global version (b05) of Nougat, the update with Android started I did not find it (I renamed the rom file in update.zip and put in the root of the SD CARD). I tried through recovery mode but it does not do anything to me, it's as if the smartphone was locked in everything and for everything.
I'm doing well ? How do I update when I download the rom? Can you please help me? Is there any system to interact with this smartphone and unlock it? I do not want to keep a phone that I can not update and root it.
Thanks in advance to who will help.
UPDATE:
I tried to manually install the downloaded ROM, but in recovery mode it does not flash the new rom ... the phone does not even try it !!!
It's as if the phone was locked in everything and I only have to keep the installed rom.
Some idea ?

Hey I would recommend clearing the data for settings if you can. To do this go to your launcher, find the settings icon and either drag or hold down or do whatever it takes to get to the app info. I haven't used stock in a long time so idk. But then go into storage and clear data. Then go and try again.
I do have one question though. How did you get usb adb debugging enabled if you didn't get into developer options at all?
For the second half of your question you won't be able to flash anything without first unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP onto the device. For the devices recovery idk which one you meant, but it needs to be TWRP. Good luck!

Thanks to my friend, without doing anything, suddenly, he made me enter the developer options menu.
I've been able to do the rest.
Now I have the phone with unlocked bootloader, root and TWRP installed.
Do not ask me how I got the debug without going into the menu, I could not answer you ... it will remain a mystery !!!
I take advantage of your availability: can I flash the zip of the official ROM through TWRP? Or is there a risk that the phone goes into brick mode?

You can't flash an official zip through TWRP, it will just fail. No brick.
Edit: didn't read OP lol. If you want to update, you have to flash the stock recovery (there are stock recovery flashable zips on the Download Center) then install the update, then get TWRP again. Or you can install a custom ROM (I recommend one based on stock MiFavor 5.0, I think that the best one is ADM Team V3 (the one that's not based on B13), this way you can simply download, flash in TWRP, and you'll be done

Very poor support? It's going to get Android O, and it's got at least 1 update per month (officially). It's unclear whether that ROM you installed will be updated since it's based on an older version, but the latest (B13) breaks a bunch of stuff like Google Play Games, Maps, the GPS works awfully...

No no ... do not get me wrong.
My reference is to rom, MiFlavor is really bad. I come from 3 Xiaomi smartphones and I can assure you is another world.
The smartphone is really nice and well balanced (apart from the just enough battery) and I would replenish it a thousand times. :fingers-crossed::good:

[Q] TWRP on J320ZN

I have a Galaxy J3 (2016) J320ZN.
I have rooted it, and would like to install TWRP then xsposed, maybe even another ROM if there is any that will work.
Will the TWRP posted here for other models work on my phone?
How about ROMs? Thank you.:silly:

I've only just worked this out myself and was going back to update my post...did a search and that's how I found your question.
I've had so much trouble with this... either, you couldn't get root using SuperSU.zip through TWRP (there's another thread on this)... because you'd get stuck in a bootloop and my "solution" was to flash CF-Auto-Root again... without realizing that CF-Auto-Root wipes to stock recovery XD. Through this, though I lost my phone re-set up and TWRP.... I saw that there was a dm-verity error which I don't understand but know there is a patch.... and maybe that's why people were getting bootloops? I'm really not an expert at all. I just try until something works.
SO, you could just first try flashing TWRP for J3lte from the link I provided and then the latest SuperSU and see if that works now.....(earlier versions did not) if it doesn't work and you get stuck in a bootloop then flash CF-Auto-Root (available at: https://download.chainfire.eu/986/C...3lteusc-j3lteusc-smj320r4.zip?retrieve_file=1) and start again. I PERSONALLY only had success without a bootloop ONCE I added the dm-verity patch to my install procedure:
The TWRP that will work for the J320ZN is j3lte: https://dl.twrp.me/j3lte/
I used the latest version twrp-3.2.1-0-j3lte.img.
If you need in-depth help look for a tutorial or quote me and I'll respond & try walk you through it. I know that model J320YZ uses the same TWRP and there is a tutorial on XDA for the basics.....
Once TWRP is installed and you've booted into TWRP recovery and you've formatted, Install SuperSU.zip through the "Install" button on TWRP. You must have SuperSU.zip on your external SD card (click "Select Storage" to select it).
https://download.chainfire.eu/1220/SuperSU/SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip
I used v.2.82 SR5
Finally, BEFORE REBOOTING, I installed no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip using the same TWRP "Install" button method - which was also on my external SD card
https://androidfilebox.com/miscellaneous/dm-verity-and-forced-encryption-disabler/
Then you can reboot, and set up your phone. Xposed works. If you already ran the fixes using Apps2SD to fix security measures that prevntd Link2SD from creating mountscripts, that stays fixed after all of this.
BACK UP YOUR PHONE FIRST 'cos you'll have to reset it all up again. Samsung Smart Switch (on your PC) helps, as will Titanium Backup.
Now.... as I said I'm not an expert. I don't understand why things are the way they are. Nor am I responsible if the dm-verity wasn't needed, which is why maybe you should just try TWRP then latest SuperSU first. BUT for me, I had bootloop and needed the 3rd step of dm-verity patch.
As for Custom ROMS... I have no real interest in those, so that's something you'll have to experiment with yourself, or ask someone else
IMPORTANT: I thought I'd better add that once you've got TWRP and root installed... and want to install Xposed, you cannot use the official version for Android 5.1.1. It will not work on our Samsung Touchwiz Stock ROMS. You can either install a custom ROM first, or you will have to use the Unofficial version by wanam that will work on device.
Here's a tutorial: https://www.tricksfolks.com/install-xposed-framework-samsung-lollipop-marshmallow/
Make sure to select from the download links the file for 5.1.1 and our hardware is arm so download that file, not arm64 version or x86 version. Should be xposed-v87.1-sdk22-arm-custom-build-by-wanam.zip
Also note, I had some issues with the Xposed Installer (apk) - latest one 3.2. Didn't want to register the wanam framework that I flashed in TWRP. So, I rolled back to 3.1.5 and that works OK. You'll have a big red warning telling you not to update THEIR framework... but ignore that and just go to Downloads and install away.
The article I linked above with the tutorial and download links has an earlier version of the Xposed Installer so you could try that if you can't find v.3.1.5. Just don't use v.3.2
ALSO ANYBODY PLEASE UPDATE ME IF YOU GOT TWRP AND ROOT WITH OR WITHOUT DM-VERITY PATCH. I'd like to know so I can learn more about this stuff. Still a novice.
Annnnnd I just realized you were the one that PMed me a few weeks ago to get me working on this and that you'd broken your phone hehehehe.
Well, I'm just updating it on all the J320ZN threads now for future folk.

Wow, thanks for going through the pain so I may not have to go through so much. Would you be able & willing to help me get my wife's SM J320ZN rooted so I can get the sd card used for apps? She doesn't need too much on there but the bloody thing goes to low memory way too soon. I'd love to know if I can get a better os on there too if you can make any suggestions.
I've got enough knowledge to be able to install lineageOS onto my crappy moto e & get that working ok but I'm still on the steep learning curve.
If you can, please provide a step-by-step guide to do this? I know you've said most of what needs to happen in your posts, but when I see "Once TWRP is installed and you've booted into TWRP recovery and you've formatted,..." I'm wondering what should get formatted, what shouldn't, etc
Warm regards
