I am working on a e-ink smartwatch design, but had no luck in finding whether Android Wear can be used as Operating System for this.
Google only released an APK, where do I get started to port android wear for a new hardware like this e-ink smartwatch.
I am not a developer so having trouble in understanding what is open to use and whats not.

I want to develop an android wear app which shows dragging of objects. I'm new to this and I'm not sure if I can simply run an android app on the android wear or I would need to do something different for the watch?
I am thinking about having a Block Modular smart watch. I already backed on Kickstarter. I have found that it is going to use the modified version of Android. So my question is will Android wear apps work on this Block modular smart watch?
It's going to be Android based, and importantly, it's not Android Wear. The reason for this is because Android Wear doesn't support the modular nature of Blocks. It's also the aim to have Android and iOS compatibility, so you'll be able to use this watch with your iPhone and we were also told that compatibility with Windows phone wasn't out of the question.
Was a bit excited on receiving this watch, thought it would be a great watch for that price, but no..
It is the one running android 4.2 but is there a way to flash it and or install android wear os? I am on a mac, so would be great to do it from there.
And also, is there any way to get the notifications to work with iOS? Tried about everything now, but haven't found any app or settings that works.

Hi to all, I would like to try to install Android Wear ROM on my No.1D5+ Smartwatch. Or try to convince to act like watch, when connecting to phone android wear app.
I think it could being better user experience as Android wear is already optimized for circular display.
I have tried to install original Huawei Watch Android Wear ROM, but with no success. Also pairing with original ROM with android wear app didn't worked.
I don't have any experience with creating custom ROM, but i would like to try to modify some of circular android wear devices ROM.

Newbie question: The apps from Google Play store, do they work on both Android phone and Wear OS watch? Or are there two versions of the same app: one for Android and one for Wear OS? So if the app does not show up on Wear OS, it means that app does not have a Wear OS version?
