Hello. I'm new here and I'm here to ask if there are handheld users of this phone "Alcatel Pop C3" able to successfully root it. My brother does have this phone and I checked its RAM with only 512 and he has only 40MB available space. I want to help him by rooting his phone and installing xposed + greenify (or will add xbooster if necessary) to hibernate those bloatwares that eats up his RAM.
I saw a tutorial from androidxda.com (root-alcatel-one-touch-pop-c3) but there are no comments or anything that makes me doubt about this method.
I'll gladly appreciate your help and thanks in advance!

I finally rooted the phone, but unfortunately I fail at installing xposed framework. It keeps getting bricked after installation and reboot.
It can be solved by factory reset, but I want to install xposed framework for greenify to be more effective. Any help or tips guys?
Maybe Your Kernel is not suppor (Maybe.. just my oponion )

You have to install xposed 2.3.1 or older because the newer versions are incompatible with the phone. You can do that from the XPosed Instaler app.

I gave a pop c3 and reset the phone by 5% battery. and now only turns on and logo appears Alcatel OneTouch pop c3 and so. they can do something?

Tudorlv, we not have any costum rom yet because meizu team not released the sources for flyme and kernel.
We can't unlock it and install any custom rom on it, and CWM.
Maybe one day they will release the sources.
There are one pepition on internet.

It is a recovery emulator. It simply translates Edify into Bash script.
Is the same as if you execute a script in a terminal emulator

I'm kind of dissapointed of the low activity here on XDA about the MX4 considerind it's a really great device, very well balanced (coming from an HTC M9)
Anyway, here is what I managed so far, working perfectly:
1. Nova launcher
2. Xposed, with:
- Amplify
- App Settings (mostly for immersive mode)
- Battery Stats Plus
- Enable Battery Stats
- Flyme tools, of course
- Greenify
- Immerse Me (disabled in xposed because also hides the statusbar in homescreen)
- Lucky Patcher
- Smooth System Progress
3) Super User (chainfire)
To do list:
1) gain acces to system files via File Manager
2) Most important ! : somehow get the Xperia Z(1,2,3) video recording stabilizer, it's great!
In my case I am doing some mods, this is the latest: MoreFlymeNotifications, each notification with his icon!! Not grouped in the same icon.

How are you achiving this? with xposed or editing the systemui/framework files?

I have YU Yureka updated lollipop version. I rooted my phone
But the issue I'm facing is kinda different even root checker showing full root access but when i try to open apps like game hacker,flashify it showing MAGIC 7F45 ERROR

so you mean to say that game hacker is not able to get root access right ?
by the way that is not a point.
all the app for hacking will not work on Yureka ARM64 architecture. so you need to downgrade it to kitkat
and dont post weird thing over here it is against XDA rules. this thread will get closed soon.

If I rooted it using Droidyemen's post, what exactly can I do? I found out I can't TWRP (triggered something and bricked it, had to hard reset), No roms, no Xposed framework. So what CAN I do with root on lollipop?

You don't need a custom recovery to install Jasmine rom 6.1.

well u have xposed framework thats brings alot of mods to android such as snapchat mods, youtube mods, lockscreen, app permission managers, etc.. u got volume booster viper4droid, free wifi tether but some apps wont work with jasmine like snapchat so i returned to stock with root
Xposed doesn't seem to work on 5.0, only 5.1+...
To be more clear, I can't find a version for odexed 5.0 Touchwiz...only 5.1 or deodexed 5.0

If root(SuperSu) is installed in system(most likely it is) it won't be gone when you do factory reset. And as long as you have TWRP recovery, you need only few clicks to get root.
I propably can't help you. But about my earlier post, make sure the changes you made to the "update-script" file are saved in zip. I once had same propblem and realized that changes weren't saved even though winrar said so.

How can I pass it on A12L beta 2, if it lost anytime? Don't have root or any modifications. Very annoying.
