[Q] lagy input - M.O.J.O. General

Hello @ll, when i play games like pinball arcade vor others the controller lags . some milli second.
Its not a prob from the TV, testet in 3 tv's with all settings.
Same prob when i usw a mouse.
What can i do ?
Thx

are you using the CTRLR? or something else?
Do you have anything else using bluetooth? ie bluetooth speakers? maybe a mouse?
maybe your running something in the background..

Make sure your dongle is in the USB3 port. I had laggy input in the 2.0 port.

Thats stupit, so you cannot plug a USB 3.0 external Hard Drive in the USB 3.0 port, because the dongle has to be in the USB 3.0 port, because of input lag?
Thats just fine, so another thing thats made bad with the Mad Catz M.O.J.O., whats the point of a USB 3.0 port if you can't use it.

Supposed to be fixed once Kitkat rolls out.

I use the ctrlr with mojo , USB dongle is OK'
Don't now what happens

Wireless keyboard (not bluetooth) works!

Ever since I saw the Host enabled USB port hack via Tiamat I've been wondering if my wireless Logitech keyboard via Unify would work and how awesome it eventually will be...today I am happy to say that it is confirmed!
I've just received my host cable and as soon as I pluged the unify usb dongle in the port, the keyboard worked natively, no driver or anything else...it could be just me, but I think it's pretty freaken awesome! even ctrl+T opens a new tab...
that is all, k thx for reading
That is cool. Not sure that they make too many portable mini 2.4 keyboard though.
Not sure about mini keyboard selections, but this implies any keyboard that would work natively on your pc should work fine with the xoom with usb host enabled.
EDIT: found both efo and logitech make quite small keyboards for google tv, which would work also for the xoom.
Forgot to mention, I've noticed the xoom restarting more than once while i have the host cable pluged in and the usb dongle, Im not sure this is a result of 1. Tiamat 1.3.0 2. Usb Host cable 3. Unify keyboard drawing too much power?

Some time ago I posted a similar experience when I connected a USB keyboard to the OTG cable. It might be linked to the keyboard. I have not had an HDD connected for more than a few minutes so I should try that.
random Q....tiaman 1.1.6 and 1.3.0 already incorporated the host mode hack?

That was the reason for me to load the Tiamat 1.1.6 kernel. To my knowledge it's still in 1.3.0. You might also want to check the guide enable mounting of NTFS volumes!

I also have a wireless logitech. I bought an OTG microusb->usb and it worked without any modifications (no tiamat, etc)
any chance a wireless (non BT) mouse would work this way?

Highly unlikely. Even a generic mouse will require some kind of drivers and a pointer is not implemented routinely AFAIK.

[Q] [DEV/REQUEST] USB Controller Support Kernel

Since we have not 1 but 2 working 3.1 ROMs for our beloved devices...how long after we get the 3.1 OTA do you think we can incorporate USB controller support on our fantastic new ROMs?
Chlballi
on this topic,
you will probably be seeing kernel fixes today
so you know.
In both HoneyVillain and Dexter's Aconia P1 roms, my Logitech F510 is recognized (using Xinput mode) and I've been using it with snes9x ex. The Xinput mode emulates an XBOX360 controller, so I figure those must work as well.
my honeyvillain didnt recognize my cheap analog chinese gamepad..
is there no way to make these cheap pad recognized?
fyi it only work in windows, not even on my mac os
but i hope some devs can make it to emulate like xbox controller like on windows which are needed for some games like gta IV
so one thing i've noticed w/ the xoom and other 3.1 tablets is that the usb controller support uses the micro-usb to female USB adapter then you plug in the controller to that... the MICRO usb port, I suspect that is the issue, we're all trying to plug the controler in to the full size usb ports just because we have it. If someone is able to (i don't have the adapter) try using the micro usb port with a micro - full adapter and get back before we start having the devs make these crazy changes.
also, i support the idea of making the full usb ports work with controllers like that so don't take this post the wrong way i just have this feeling that the intended use is for the micro - full adapters rather than our full port

asus and xoom uses the micro usb , as it has a chipset that support usbmode switching, so it can run in host or device mode.. nothing else..
its special in that way support OTG android mode, cable is a little different too with ground attached to different pin, but thats it..
we got the right usb port as i know it, and since we got a device usb port we dont need usbport mode switching here..
well i understand that we have the right usb port i'm just theorizing that because all the other tablets out there that use 3.1 only have micro then most likely support for the full sized port wasn't baked into 3.1 for people like us.. might take a small feat to get it working on full usb for us.
then again i don't know for sure, its just a theory i came up w/ after looking into it myself
Perhaps you all are testing wrong. I found an emulator for Snes that works with my usb controller. SuperGnes.
No issues for me playing nes emulators with my wired 360 controller.
anyone managed to get a usb cd rom working? I've tried plugging one in but nothing so far. running dexters primee 8
Sent from my A500 using XDA Premium App
any dev maybe can port ps3 controller driver from asus to acer ??
as now we have kernel code (even its only 3.0.1 code, but as i understand with some modification its possible )
yes, my 360 wired controller works fine.
ps3 controller support via USB is now added to my kernel..
for other kernel modders..
its just including "CONFIG_HID_SONY" and its all solved, so you know..
its not default with acer kernel.
So still no go on non-sony controllers?

kernel got lotsa choices, so details for which to choose , if a research, and adding all of them is probably not the best to do..
maybe you can search google on your joystick + linux kernel ,and see what pops up. maybe a simple yes or no for support, og some techno babble explaining how to add it..

Let's get our M.O.J.O. on(line)! Post pics your M.O.J.O setup!

Here's my simple little setup. Consists of two Logitech F310 controllers, Seagate 2TB USB 3.0 had drive, Pluggable Peripherals 7 port hub and of course the official controller. Also has a keyboard and mouse dongle plugged in. I'd love to see others. Post em! (BTW, forgive the white extension cable, it is actually connected to the hard drive as I am in the process of backing it up)

6months old photo, but still using the min combo BT keyboard, charge the AAA batteries on the TV usb with the USB hub under it.
And I keep the mojo on it's side.. i think it looks cool and lets the heat rise.
I'll take more pics when my other controller comes

I wont recommend the mini nor the micro (button keys instead of real keys unless it a remote maybe), it's okay for quick surfing/emailing but not for chat etc.. great for my travel bag.. but I would use it more if was more fullsize... I need to replace my old wired keyboard mouse.. so i'll be looking for a fullsize BT combo.
From top left:
AverMedia Capture HD II C285, MOJO 4way USB hub, 32GB roms, cheap twin PS clone controllers on one USB, Behringer headset for late night gaming sessions.
My old USB keyboard and MS laser mouse, 7inch Hyundai T7s, Travel clip with my tablet mod.
MOJO CTRLR, retail CTRLR, Shintaro Mini Bluetooth Keyboard.
And under the TV I have a 4way USB hub powered by the TV's USB port.
Attached are two USB AA/AAA battery chargers and a retractable USB cable for the mini combo keyboard to charge.
Not that much really

[Q] What do I need for the ultimate Nexus Player experience?

So I think I've read every thread in the Nexus Player forum, and I'm just going to spit it back and have you all make sure I understand what I'm getting into...
Got my Nexus Player and it updated to 21V, and it sounds like I can still root with ChainFire, is that correct?
Then to start expanding functionality I need an OTG cable and USB Hub. Any recommendations on a 3-4 port hub?
Then, my aim is for wired networking. I understand it isn't totally necessary but I have my Comcast gateway right next to it. So I might as well just get this adapter right?
So at this point I would be rooted, networked, and ready to add on storage. I'm going to go the route of a 1 or 2TB (non-powered) hard drive. Will I have to setup bunches of 128gb partitions, or will LolliRock, Unleashed Kernel, StickMount, (and there was one more app that handled OGG folder placement for large games) handle storage without those mini partitions?
Then, if possible I want to get a 360 controller or wiimote working. If not it sounds like the Red Samurai Bluetooth controller or the Asus controller is the way to go...
Also, will a Logitech K400 work via USB adapter?
How am I doing so far?
Mine was updated and I still was able to root it with SuperSU. I would recommend you this as a 4 USB hub (which is powered so all right for running you're hard drives): amazon.ca/Plugable-Port-Charger-Power-Adapter/dp/B005P2BY5I/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&qid=1419636337&sr=8-25&keywords=plugab. Bought mine yesterday and I'm gonna try to use my xbox 360 controller with it so I will give you back news when I got mine. And normally a mouse and keyboard would work just fine as seen in this video: youtube.com/watch?v=H0xHvjuDk68
Thanks, I'd appreciate any updates!
For the USB hub, do I need a 2.0 or will a 3.0 work too?
I have noname 2.0/3.0 hub and works fine...it should be compatibile so each 3.0hub should work with 2.0 ports
The USB port on the Nexus Player is 2.0 so it's pretty useless to have a 3.0 hub. Nonetheless, I finally received my USB OTG cable and USB hub and the Xbox 360 controller works without problem. I tried it on a N64 emulator. Also no problem with a mouse and a keyboard connected by an USB dongle. And install stickmount in order to be able to mount any HD or USB key.
I got my OTG cable, and 2.0 hub (4 port), working with k400 keyboard, and the Red Samurai v2 (gamestop) controller on the way. Nes emulator working well with keyboard, I'm just trying to figure out if I want to stay on stock or use LolliRock, I've been back and forth twice now, and will probably flash the newest LolliRock tonight.
Stickmount (and other apps) for some reason won't install via Web based Google play, so that's frustrating...

I don't know, I just want to be able to join the phone to my TV through cable connection.
It's my second OP since the 3T and at the time I didn't need that feature
It's not possible, use chromecast
Negative. I asked customer support. The only way to connect is wirelessly. 1+ doesn't have MHL support.
