[Q] not receiving incoming google voice call notifications - PAC Q&A

I want to stop using a mobile carrier and instead use google voice since they give you your own number and its free to call and text message. my computer alerts me when someone calls my google number and texts, but on my android phone or my customized kindle fire hd i only receive a notification when someone texts me and not when someone calls. it just alerts me a minute later that i got a missed call, is their any way around this? I doubt it, but maybe some xda god knows how to tweak and fix the problem. :good:

[APP] I am Busy

This is a FREE application, which allows to silently reject incoming calls and send a SMS to caller.
If you are on important meeting, interview or presentations, you can just run this application and all your incoming calls will be dropped but callers will be send a SMS with text like "I am busy right now. I will call you back in 2 hours".
Application is as simple as it can be. There are just 2 buttons : activate/deactivate and change SMS's text.

Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium

[Q] Rejecting Calls - Just Hang Up, Don't Send To Voicemail

Is there anyway to just drop rejected/declined calls without sending them to voicemail?
Not by default, maybe some other dialler will do that but in general whenever you reject a call on any phone it sends them to voicemail.
Your other option is to just pickup and hang up right away or disable voicemail. I do that for 1800 numbers which id on't want some automated machine leaving me a message.
Get the Mr. Number from the Play Store. There's hangup and send to voicemail options.
I'm using avast mobile security and their call filter. It works great but when it blocks a call, it gets sent to voicemail. Support asked what happens when I manually reject a call so I believe it is using the reject function of the Nexus 4.
Besides Mr Number, there are others available that drop the call but I was trying to get away with only using one app...since avast is going to be on my phone anyway.

[Q] Receiving Call UI Screen

Hello,
I love this phone N4 but i don't really like the GUI when receiving call. When you need to pull to left reject the call and pull to right to receive the call. Sometimes i got the phone upside down and did that in the wrong way around (which i plan to receive the call but i rejected the call instead). So just wondering, is it possible to change the GUI when receiving call? like have a clearer (more colorful buttons) to receive the call.
thanks.
i'm sorry if there's a duplicated thread, i did try to search through.
Try something like Fullscreen caller id from the Play Store.
exDialer is nice.

Voice calls going to voice mail

Hi guys hope you can help
I've noticed on several occasions that if I'm using my note 3 to browse web or look at emails and I receive a voice call, it automatically goes to voice mail. Phone doesn't ring or display an incoming call, I just get the voice mail icon on top alert bar.
Anyone know if its a setting on phone or is it carrier?

Nexus 6P: Using "Hello" For Outgoing SMS But Incoming Show Up In Hangouts

Hi guys,
I use Hello as my default sms app. For some reason, when I send my texts through Hello, I keep getting my messages in Hangout. I don't want to use Hangout, and the app keeps stealing all of my incoming texts. I tried disabling it, but it didn't work. The incoming messages got buried until I enabled Hangout again. I am on Project Fi. I don't know why this happens. I hope that somebody can help!
Thanks!
Best,
