I know you have prototype device but do you know are there plans for selling Z2 with that bracelet/gadget or it'll ne available separately?

Anyone planning to share the apk? I have Z1 running stock KK and the band as well, but Google Play says that the app is not available in my country Help.

Here in Norway we get the Smartband SWR10 when buying Z2, with every provider as far as I've seen. But we can also buy it seperatly for 100 dollars.

Ask for the apk in Android General thread. Its one of the most popular threads on XDA. There are tons of restricted apks there. The rule is, free only, per XDA rules.

I wonder BTW to what region is it restricted, as I tried to emulate US, Japan and GB and it didn't work either way,

Looks like restrictions have been removed for US.

Do you know how it tracks you movement? How does it know you drive/walk/run? I get the walk/run because you run faster, but if you're stuck in traffic it might think you are walking..

My smartband wont be here until Friday so I can't be certain but if it's similar to other sensors it depends on motion. Driving will sometimes show up as steps but it's reasonably accurate. If I set the car to firm suspension I get a lot more steps!

My verry simple solution:
W8->PC
Android->Phone
Done, this is the truth, every OS is the best on only one platform
X8!nv!s!bLe via Xperia X8
That's right I admit it.
But we can't predict future right now android has a good position. So symbian had it 3 or 4 years ago...maybe someday another OS will become popular.

The bad news is that:
WP7 based phones are not going to be updated to WP8

Track and Control Xperia remotely

Like we have Samsung Dive application for Galaxy devices, do we have any way to track and control lost Xperia Z phones or any Sony phone online through PC.
Thank you.

Hi anjath
I use Kasperky mobile security, you can lock, wipe, locate, and even take a mug shot of who's using your phone, got a free copy with the desktop version, bargain!
https://anti-theft.kaspersky.com/Account/LogOn?logonSessionData=kts&returnUrl=rm=0&id=passive&ru=%2f
I use Cerberus, it's been reviewed by Xda as the best security app, you can a bunch of stuff, even via text message if you don't have Internet

Didn't get it with my unbranded one. It's still provided as beta version in Scandinavia. But here on XDA the apk is available and you can use it in every region.
Installed it today. You can locate your phone, lock it with a four digit pin and a note for the person who found your phone and use an alarm to find it.

MyXperia - Sony's phone location service

If you have a 2012 or 2013 Xperia device you will be able to activate My Xperia from your phone’s settings. Once it’s enabled, a visit to the My Xperia site will let you sound alerts, find your phone on a map, lock it down, and erase internal and external storage. It’s surprising that three years after Find my iPhone there’s still no Google location service distributed with Android, but Xperia owners out there will no doubt be happy about having a first-party way to track down their phones.

download the app from the link provided by zolaisugly, install it as usual, go to setting--> security --> administrator --> enable myxperia
then just go to myxperia site, login and it will automatically show your phones location
It's a good idea but, there're many difficulties in tracking the lost phone, especially a phone using Android, actually! 'Coz flashing a rom is as easy as turning off a light! :laugh:
P/S: However I've installed and activated this service, just like an interesting thing of technology!

See some definitions oft meaning from != (not equal).
For example wikipedia:
Most programming languages, limiting themselves to the*ASCII*character set*and*typeable characters, use*~=,*!=,*/=,*=/=, or*<>*to represent their*Boolean*inequality operator.
