KitKat and Data roaming: lost data connectivity notification - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I'm facing a very disappointing bug with KitKat (installed few days ago): I have a G2 with D80220a-ESA-XX firmware (stock, unrooted) and more and more times during the day a popup reporting "You have lost data connectivity because you left your home network with data roaming turned off" appears. Roaming is disabled on my phone but this popups appears even if data are disabled and if the phone is not really roaming. If data are enabled, a notification with a triangle reporting the same message appears more and more times even if the phone is not roaming. This situation is very frustrating and above all, sometimes when the popup appears, my preferred network is automatically switched from 2G/3G/4G to 2G/3G. With the previous versions of Android this issue never appeared, so I'm here to ask you if somebody also is experiencing the same behaviour and how to report this bug to Google/LG or how to solve it?
Thank you so much for your help

Im still on jb and have been having this type behavior from day one also get more dropped calls than any phone i've had i've tried every setting and combinations i can do i think maybe the scan times are set for to long have noticed sometime when in a strong signal area i make a call and the no data pops up then after 30 to 60 seconds data reconnects im hopping that this gets resolved in the kitkat update for sprint

This doesn't sound good bro

Yea i see complaints all spread out on this subject no one seems to know how to fix it i've talked to my carrier about it more than once and they keep blowing me off
sent from my lg-ls980 there are many like it but this one is mine

The behavior in some scenario is really frustrating: when there is an incoming call, the popup appears above, so I can only press the OK button that brings me to the networks configurations, then I have to go back to home, pull down the notification area, click on the incoming call notification and finally answer. All this just to answer and I let you to imagine how easy is this while driving. Really I hope that somebody can help...

Been there done that i'm hopeful that might be whats taking so long with our update maybe some of these bugs are getting squashed
sent from my lg-ls980 there are many like it but this one is mine

Little update: it seems that if the phone went in roaming one time, every later time that the data are enabled or disabled, the popup appears. Can anybody else confirm this behavior?

Was in roam about 75% of the day yesterday and get this pop up all the time i need data 100% of the time for business ain't got time for lost data connection

I'm also experiencing the same bug on my G2 with D80220b-EUR-XX firmware. I have 3 (Hi3G) as my provider.
Sometimes it helps to turn Flight mode on and off, but only for a short while, then it pops back up.

I have to select dataroaming in order to be able to use mobile data after the kitkat upgrade. Enabling WIFI intermittently fails & the max volume is about 50% of what is used to be. Done numerous factory resets all to no avail. Seems there will be no 4.4.3 update for the 601 so I'll have to ditch it

I've got the same roaming warning.
I'm using an LG G2 D802 32GB with stock KitKat 4.4.2 + root + xdabbeb's camera mod v3.20.
I've no idea why it's happening. I can still use my phone and I'm connected to my network as usual.
Anybody with a solution?

Fixed my connection issues
I don't know if this will help everyone, but for me I figured out I had an app that stopped working right after the update. The app I was using was Onovo. Hope this helps someone.

smart network switch
i turned off "smart network switch" and it seemed to stop the persistent message. I dont see the point of that option because phones seem to automatically switch anyway by default, not allowing wifi and data to both be running at the same time.

No More 4G Toggles For Me

With all the 4G Toggle issues, runaway errors related to it in aLogcat and having to reboot so it didn't eat up battery I decided as of today I would come up with something else.
Started using the phone to make a one-click shortcut to 4G..Hell with any 4G toggles.
Long click on desktop
..Click Shortcuts
..Click Activities
..Scroll down to Settings..Halfway down or so you will see 4G settings
..Click 4G settings
..Click Ok
You now have your own phone made shortcut to phones 4G settings with no need for any toggle. I am using LP Pro. This will also tell me if it was toggle or problem is within framework/phone. Enjoy.

I dont have ACTIVITIES.. ONLY Settings and there is nothing for 4G. Any ideas?
UPDATE: This method did not work either..Hot Boot or Reboot is what it takes to actually shut off 4G...hmmmmm somethings definitely wrong with this picture.
I dont have 4G in my area so I wonder if those who can connect to 4G have the same runaway errors in aLogcat after they shut 4G off..regardless of what they use to shutoff..Toggle or manual method.
if you have sense you need BETTER CUT to do this...
BUT does this fix the issue with using a shortcut instead of the widget? I honestly do not see this error when I look in the logs...

I am in a 4G area and this works great for me. I followed the steps in the first post and added the icon to my homescreen. I was able to start and stop 4g without any issues.
What issues did u experience i am not following from your comments?
Thanks.
I found out this problem has been Reported to Google by many and there is an open ticket with medium priority.
Experienced runaway error messages in aLogcat when 4G is turned on either intentionally or accidentally, then turned back off at any point, the following messages continue to repeat at about 2 second intervals. The only cure seems to be shutting the phone off and then back on, but this shouldn't be required every time someone uses 4G
Errors..over and over..and over........
I/Wimax ( ***): <DC> Try to establish a connection to DC server.
E/Wimax ( ***): <DC CONNECT> IO error: msg='/127.0.0.1:7771 - Connection refused'
Took me the longest to figure out that this is what was killing my battery. I just go into settings and turn it on when I need it now.

dang you are absolutly correct..no wonder this drains the battery faster. Hmm any work arounds?
I used tasker to make a 4g toggle. Works with no problems.
his idea for a free toggle works...but the issue is what is happening in the background after your disable 4g. The wimax continues searching for a signal over and over after disabling the 4g service causing a battery drain.
I haven't experienced this, my 4g seems to shut off properly when I use the widget. At least I don't experience excessive battery drain. How do I check this. Maybe it is the rom you are using causing the problem. I'm running Sprint Lovers.
I honestly didn't notice this before this thread because I don't turn off 4g anymore. Most parts of sa I go to have 4g so I just leave it on. Interesting though and something for me to mess with.

You must Reboot (hot or full) or turn off the phone or the radio will keep going while on the plane.

Use aLogcat or any other free log app and turn on 4G and then turn it off.
Once it says its off watch the logs live, I filter to errors only, and you will see
E/Wimax ( ***): <DC CONNECT> IO error: msg='/127.0.0.1:7771 - Connection refused' over and over.

I have had this issue as well and recently stopped using the 4g toggle. I was actually thinking of making this type of shortcut over the weekend.
I have not used alogcat, but I was able to figure out I had the 4g issue. cpu at 100% and system process suspend running.
at first I had the 4g toggle off and just rebooted my phone. this didn't seem to stop the issue. I went into settings - wireless & networks - mobile data always on - toggled this on and off a couple of times and it seemed to kill the process.
I have since stopped using the toggle and haven't gotten the issue to come back.
I live and work in San Francisco. I get 4g at work and no 4g at home. when I turn off 4g while getting coverage I didn't seem to get the issue, but if I left 4g on and drove home and then turned it off I would have this issue.
lately I haven't been using 4g and just switched to a different rom, so I don't know.
I have also unchecked network notifications within the 4g settings (needs to be done while connected to 4g or 4g on). not sure if this has helped any, but it was on by default on fresh 3.4. it is off by default on calkulins evio 1.6.2 rom.
hot reboot makes you lose 4g. I just do a real reboot and its fine.

any kind of 4g widget turns on 4g when rebooted.
only workaround so far that i know if is to not have any 4g widgets on the home screens and to reboot after using 4g.

Doesn't matter. I have found with no widgets..simply turning it on manually..and then off again the 4G radio or software that operates it still tries connecting and throws runaway errors.

[Q] TMOUS Branded HD2 - "No service" upon waking, lots of calls going to voicemail.

[Q] TMOUS Branded HD2 - "No service" upon waking, lots of calls going to voicemail.
I've noticed this with a lot of builds - I came back to the HD2 after the whole "NAND" revolution so I can't say if this really happened before then or not.
When I wake my phone I am seeing a lot of times where "No Service" is displayed on the screen but it almost immediate then switches to T-Mobile.
I am also noticing that even with good signal here in the office a lot of my calls go to voicemail without ever waking the phone. I get a ring or two (if I am lucky) then straight to google voice.
At the moment I am running MDJ's CyanogenMod 2.5 and the latest HTC released radio (don't have the number in front of me). This problem has been seen though with various ROMs that I have been running. I've tested it numerous times from my desk phone at random times throughout the day - at least half of the calls are going to voicemail at one point or another without having ever rang the phone.
Oh yes - effective yesterday morning I am not overclocking my phone either.
Is anyone else experiencing anything similar? I can understand going to sleep when the screen is not on, but this is ridiculous! If I slept that hard the alarm would never wake me LOL!
I've noticed that too. I'm on a Tmo USA HD2 with MDJ CM7 2.5 also.
I looked at the new expanded details of cell standby under the battery usage tab. My phone says it's not had signal 30% of the time. I normally don't have issues missing calls or emails at home, though I'm not in a super strong signal area. It'll be interesting to see what it is at work, where I'm literally right under the cell tower with full signal strength. If I'm showing no service there and a high percentage of time without signal, I will know something is wrong.

I'm seeing 40% myself - WOW - I guess tonight when I get home (I've got balls-to-the-wall signal there) I'll check to see how it does there.
I didn't realize that feature was there with 2.3 - good to know!
Anyone else have anything to throw into the mix?
Thanks!
wow...I'm showing 49% for just under 2 hours of 'on' time...so I've been without signal for almost an hour...something is wrong here...
Last night at home I had no issues with signal drops - here at the office in 2 hours 25 minutes I've seen 23% without signal.
I'm really curious now if it Gingerbread is just more sensitive or if I really have no signal that often across the board with all ROMs here in the office.
I am constantly bouncing between H and Edge, and have noticed a lot of signal drops, but the only last a few seconds. I might try to turn off 3G and see what that does. what radio is everyone running? I'm on 2.15.50.14...
AND...if I want to try a different radio, how do I flash it now that I don't have WM6.5 anymore...I always initiated the flash in WM...
nevermind on the radio thing...figured it out...

Same radio here.
I just flashed 2.10.50.26 to see if it is any better. I have had this issue for a while, but don't seem to remember it when I first started with Android. For me, it is not a Gingerbread thing, since I only recently started using Gingerbread, and I have had this issue for a long time.
My phone has a similarly high percentage of time without a signal, however I have not noticed any calls going to voicemail and everyone that has had to call me has been able to get through.
try to switch to gsm signal only (using 2g network)
I am having the same problem. My radio is same as yours 2.15.50.xx
Same network as my sister's Google Nexus One, but when we have our phones sit beside each other, mine has no signal while hers has full bars. I have already set my network type to GSM only (due to unnecessary charges of my telecom) and somehow it improved but not like it is with the Nexus One.
Monitored it for the day. At home I have a weak 3G signal but a somewhat decent Edge signal, and my phone normally bounces between the two 2-3 bars of 3G then it will drop to no signal then switch to edge then switch back. When I am home every time I unlock the phone it says "No Signal". But I still receive emails and phone calls like normal, I've not seen any abnormal missed calls or emails. I reset my phone this morning when I took it off the charger. In the hours I was at home it said I had no signal for 75% of the time. At work where I have almost perfect signal I had zero % time with no signal. My wife's Vibrant doesnt exhibits the wavering between edge/3g at the house. But it's not like I am getting bad battery life or seeing my phone jump in in power usage like you would normally see with a poor signal. Almost 13 hours off the charger. 52 minutes with the display on. 28 minutes of voice calls. 15 minutes of web browsing. I still have 57% battery left.
Working form my home office this morning so I had a chance to do some testing. Looks like my spotty 3G coverage at my house is the culprit. I mentioned earlier I have 2-3 bars of 3G here but every so often it will bounce to edge then back to 3G. It looks like when the phone is in standby that it doesn't handle that bounce properly, and will sit with "no service" until I wake it up. I put "no service" in parenthesis because even though the phone displays no service and registers that in the "cell standby" portion of the expanded battery use display I can still receive texts and emails and calls. I switched it to 2G only and the "no service" when I wake it up goes away and it does log any additional "time without signal" since I've done that.
I've switched to 2G only as of reading this. I've got no real need for 3G while at the office so if this is a solution, I'm all for it!
I'll be monitoring throughout the day as well, and make some random test calls from the desk to the phone to see if I land in voicemail.
Great catch though - now if we could only get it addressed!
By the way, what ROM are you running? Curiosity asks if it's a specific Android version issue or not...

MDJ's Cyanogenmod 7 v2.5. Just put the 2G/3G toggle into the power control in the notifier window.
I should be getting a G2 in the next couple of days so I'm going to give it a head to head test to see if the G2 exhibits the same behavior. I would test it with my wife's Vibrant but without gingerbread I'm not sure how I can log that no-service information.

Settings - Cyanogenmod Settings - User Interface
Make sure Notification Power Widget is checkmarked and a couple of spaces below that is the "Widget Buttons" selection where you can add and remove buttons.
I've got to say, since I entered the correct apn settings to fix the MMS blurryness, I have had very little to no down time with regards to signal. Where as yesterday in the same locations at the same time I had 40% down time, today I have 5% and it's going down.
I'm going to try a an app I found on the market - supposedly it can control 2G/3G based on a schedule..
http://www.appbrain.com/app/timeriffic/com.alfray.timeriffic
If it actually works, I'll just set it to switch to 2G during the days and hours I know I am usually in the office.
ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE - This whole problem has helped me do something that I've been meaning to do - ditch my girlfriend!
She's been pissed as hell because she was one of the people calling my cell while I was at work and never able to get through because of this issue... Well, she refused to listen to my explanation of what really was happening! I told her repeatedly that until I got the problem ironed out to call my desk phone, but she insisted on calling the cell. She swore up and down that I was simply ignoring her calls or shutting my phone off.
She tried calling several times last night while I was still at the office - same problem.
Well, I just got the call from her (actually, text message) - kicked to the curb - THANK GOD!

LG G2 critical bug regarding signal

Hi,
I think I discovered what seems to be a critical software bug regarding the signal of the LG G2 in weak signal environments.
In my house, the signal is generally very weak. However, it is usable. But when the phone shows 0 bars of signal due to it being placed in a very weak signal spot or hands covering the antenna, the signal strength never comes back and my number cannot be called until I take one of the following actions:
If I turn the Wi-Fi off, the signal comes back instantly. If I make a call, the signal comes back instantly and I can make the call. And if I turn the airplane mode on and then off, the signal reappears.
This has never happened on my Nexus 4, and it only happens inside my house where I have a weak signal.
Any ideas regarding the resolution of this ? Can I boost the signal sensitivity from somewhere in a secret menu ?
I hope that this issue will be solved in an upcoming update, but I can't be sure.
PS: I am running the International version of the G2, on Vodafone Romania.
I have seen a similar issue at times, on international version!

I have no issues with my D802.
Coming out of the elevator at work (where I usually lose the signal) the phone connects automatically every single time.

Of course. My phone also reconnects every time after a no-signal area, this situation is probably well-tested by LG. The problem only seems to occur in an area with a constant weak signal.
Hi,
There are options in wifi setting that may help especially the low signal setting. Have you play around with it?

Yes I did, altered both those settings and nothing improved.
However, I did a factory reset today and I couldn't reproduce the problem anymore, until now it appeared at least 2-3 times daily, there are a few hours with no problems already. But I'm not convinced that the problem is solved.
You aren't by chance seeing the signal drop off because of Wi-fi calling are you? I noticed the signal dropping completely when I was connected to my home network, then realized the Wi-Fi calling feature takes over for calls, textxs etc.. If I turn wifi off, it comes right back, similar to what you're seeing, though our circumstances may be different. Reception at my place is spotty at best as well and sometimes I'm roaming on at&t and other times I'm on a native tmobile tower.

No, it's definitely a signal issue. I put a prepaid SIM card in it from another phone operator. The signal is much stronger and I don't have any signal drop problems anymore. The only problem is that I am tied by contract to the first operator, so this is only good for testing.
I have just had this problem twice today. I was in a low signal area and the bars showed a red x next to them with emergency calls only. I went to another area i know has strong signal but it didnt reconnect like it should. Eventually it came back after about 25 mins but it should come straight back and not leave me without use of my phone for that length of time. I never had this problem with my s3!
I have a serious problem with my phone

I went to another area i know has strong signal but it didnt reconnect like it should. Eventually it came back after about 25 mins but it should come straight back and not leave me without use of my phone for that length of time. I never had this problem with my s3!

I also have very critical bug with my LG G2 international version reception quality.
I have never experienced the same problems with Galaxy S3
It seems to loose network connectivity, it seems randomly, bit happens more often when wifi is turned on
And also if I use the network actively it happens more often
I have sent it in for reparis (after only having it for 5 days) and my retailer sent it to LG themselves. They have checked the phone and say it passes all tests
Now I have also ordered a new SIM card, but the problem persists. The first day I lost signal 11 times. The last days I have lost it maybe 2-7 times a day.
It takes approx 1 minute to find signal after it has been lost
Am gasit o problema relativ similara cu semnalul pe al meu - uneori, cand deschid ecranul, metrul de semnal arata 0 cateva secunde si apoi full. Sunt pe Orange.
I found a rather similar problem on my phone - sometimes, when I turn the screen on, the signal meter shows 0 bars then full signal. Found on Orange Romania.
I had a similar problem with the Desire HD, but when I changed ADEQUATE RADIO.IMG things have come on their own and the problem did not appear. However, now the problem of international LG G2 is repeated as in the posts in the above men. This leads me to the conclusion that with the next update and new radio.img things come into its own.
Hopefully, that will happen.
Could experienced developers who advertise on this topic to get involved and contribute and help.
thank you
Hi.
I just went online looking for an answer to this very same problem because I got fed up with my LG G2 losing its signal several times a day (and at ridiculously sensitive times). So I cam across this forum.
I got this POS of a smartphone less than a month ago after doing a bit of research and have been contemplating doing one of two things to resolve this issue: A- throw the damn thing against the wall and hope it smashes into a few hundred pieces because I'm that peeved, or B- take it in for repairs because LG should probably stick to making TVs and quit competing with real cell phone manufacturers when it's not their game to play anyway. Either option would be a total inconvenience as you could imagine.
Since I spent considerable cash on this poor gimmick and waste of raw materials that could have been better utilized making door handles or key chains, I am stuck trying to recover what is ultimately a write off of nearly $585. Afterall, what's a phone if it has no signal?! Everyone went ahead and got a Samsung or an iPhone, but I had to stick out like a sore thumb and get this signal-losing second class (G2) of a phone.
If mighty LG can't sort this out, can anyone on this forum possibly give a hand or shed some light on an alternative option to the above so we can at least feel the $585 didn't completely go to waste? I have a strong signal nearly everywhere I go, but little Mr. G decides to have a nap when it's convenient for him, not me.
Thanks.
no signal
You can use the app: no signal alert, and it will reconnect each time you lose signal.
Works great :good:

same issue
3 hours with no signal here, in the meantime on the GS4 (same operator)...
Had a dropped call today while sitting in a shopping mall. I took the phone from my ear and noticed the empty signal bar, which then became a full bar.
So what's it gonna be, software or hardware fault?
Same issue in Denmark on D802
I also have this issue. It seems to drop the signal randomly a couple of times a day even though the signal strength is fine before and after the signal drop. It usually reconnects pretty quickly, but sometimes it take several minutes. Today, after being in the basement (where the signal is weak) it had dropped the signal and hadn't reconnected after 5 minutes being outside where the signal should be fine. I restarted the phone and it reconnected...
I don't know if this is related, but I have also experienced several times that it drops calls randomly (and I'm not big on calling), even though it still seems to have a good connection. The call just suddenly disconnects and since it has happened while talking to at least three different people I'm pretty sure the issue is on my end.
My operator (Bibob in Denmark) has recently added LTE to their network, but seeing as others have had similar issues with the phone I don't think the network is the issue. I didn't have these issues with the Samsung Galaxy S on the same network (albeit before they got LTE).
By the way, I have almost always WiFi turned off, so that shouldn't have influence on my issues.
I would think it's a software issue since a restart seems to make it reconnect, so I'm crossing my fingers either LG soon comes out with an update or some clever developer can solve this.

Same here -- VzW in the US (New Jersey) -- WiFi, 3G, 4G all excellent (significant improvement over my GNex) -- no hand-off issues at all that I've experienced.
same issue here in belgium with my D802 10a
dont know what to do .. i had this problem also with my S4 so i change to LG G2 AND i change from operator..also new simcard :crying: (it drains allot of battery on low signal and signal searching..)

Flaky WiFi & Bluetooth?

Ok, so I have been using my Note 3 for the past week and while I like it, I am having a couple of issues. I just upgraded from the Note 2, and never had any problems with that phone. That is why I am curious if anyone has been having troubles or if I just got a bad phone.
The first thing I notice multiple times every hour is that my Pebble watch, connected via Bluetooth, constantly drops and restores connections to my phone. I have tried re-installing everything, turning BT on and off, rebooting, etc. However it continues to drop and reconnect to my watch far far too often.
The second thing I have seen is that my WiFI connection is not always very stable. I get warnings all the time that my connection might be poor or unstable. It too connects and drops connection multiple times per hour. This also was not a issue on my Note 2.
So, what I am trying to find out is this.
Are both radios controlled by the same chip, is there a setting I can adjust, or could it just be a defective phone? It is driving me nuts and I need tio get this resolved. Thanks for reading.

I've had the WiFi issue but only on my home WiFi. I only have a car and obd-ii sensor that I connect to. Voice calls get jumbled when connected to both just like the gnex but I never tested this on my note ii

I came from the Note 2 and also have a Pebble Watch. I have the same exact problems as you described with Bluetooth and Wifi. Also, music audio sounds harsh compared the the Note 2 (emphasis on high notes, artifacting, etc... on all outputs).
I'm going to go to the store and compare audio quality to a display model.
Hopefully they fix these bugs.

I'm sorry to say this, but I glad I'm not the only one seeing this. I have tried posting on the Pebble forums, but can't seem to get any help. They act like it is my fault. Now just looking for ideas on what I can try to resolve these issues.
I've had the wifi issue at home and work just make sure you have this disabled, it's located under settings>wifi>advanced

No WiFi issues with me. I use my home WiFi and an open WiFi at work. I got the galaxy gear smartwatch and have noticed a few times a day it has beeped a lost Bluetooth at me but I haven't sat down and tested anything with it.
I've also rooted my GN3 already and have messed with the framework so it could easily be my fault. Hasn't been bad enough to be bothersome for me.

I'm not having any bluetooth issues, but this is only with a mono, BlueAnt earpiece. It never drops connection though.
As nnnnr14 suggested, ensure that Auto network switch isn't enabled as that feature will switch to your mobile connection if it determines that your WiFi signal is unstable. In my case, ANS wasn't ever turned on. I just had a terrible WiFi issue. Sitting 3 feet away from my router, and with a strong signal, my WiFi connection would barely work. I couldn't even remotely access other systems on my network. The message, "Your internet connection is unstable", was in my notification drawer all day. Disabling mobile data while WiFi was enabled would help the issue, but that wasn't a good enough solution. It wasn't until I followed the instructions below that my problem was fixed completely. My connection has been great since then (4 days strong).
I hope this at least fixes your WiFi issue, but may help with bluetooth as well.
Fingers crossed.

I contacted Samsung and they had me perform a cache reset that seems to have cleared up the intermittent unstable internet connection issues;
-Power the device off (remove and re-insert the battery).
-Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
-When the device vibrates; release only the Power key while still holding the other two keys.
-When the Android system recovery menu displays; release the Volume Up and the Home key.
-Navigate with the Volume keys to the "wipe cache partition" option and press the Power key to select.
-Wait for the cache is cleared. While reboot system now is highlighted, press the Power key and reboot the device.
Hopefully this works for you as well.

I have a pebble as well but have not had any connection issues. That goes for my original Note 3, then my second new Note 3 I exchanged. The reason for the exchange was because I DO have wifi issues as described and unfortunately still have issues with the second phone as well. I Tried all the suggestions but ultimately it seems to come down to if I'm not standing right next to my router I will have wifi connectivity issues. I've continued to read all 4 carrier threads and the international thread since I got my phone on the 10th and wifi seems to be one of the most common issues across all threads.
I just checked my settings, and the auto network switch is already turned off. So unfortunately my wifi is still having problems with unstable connections even with that feature disabled. I'm thinking I might take this phone back in today and see if they will exchange it for a new one to see if that resolves my continued problems. The weird thing, as I used both the same pebble watch and my home and work WiFi connections with my Galaxy Note 2 and never had a problem. If they do swap my phone, I will post results later.

Well, I took my phone back to Verizon yesterday and they swapped it out without any troubles. I spent the evening rooting it and re-installing all of my apps and settings. I can say that so far, I have only seen my Pebble watch drop connection once, and that may have been due to me installing a hundred apps at once. As for the WiFi, it has been very stable. No more issues with the unreliable connection messages I was getting before, or the dropping of WiFi altogether. I guess if anyone else is having these issues, there must be some hardware problems with some of them, and I would try getting your phone replaced. Thanks again for all the help and replies!

Just cleared the cache.
Here's hoping that the unstable message will go away once I get back home. *crosses fingers*
Don't know If it's any help but both have been solid for me. My truck has Bluetooth and I've been connected for hours at a time with no problems.

Nice! :highfive:
So, swapping my phone out didn't help out as much as I originally thought. My WiFi does "Seem" to be a little more stable on this phone, but my Pebble watch still drops connections all the time.
It is split second drops too. I get "Pebble Disconnected", and then about 1 sec later I see "Pebble Connected". Very frustrating! Not to mention, I can't seem to get any help on Pebble's support forums. I'm about ready to get rid of this thing! And it doesn't "appear" to be a Samsung Bluetooth issue, because it drops the watch connection while I'm streaming music over Bluetooth. My audio never cuts out or shows any dropped connection messages. Anyone have any other ideas?

New software update . For sprint galaxy note 8

Yes, it works.
Anybody have issues with their screen after update? I have dead spots on the screen that don't respond to my finger but work with the stylus. For example if I open the keyboard the y H and b don't respond to my finger.

Just spent an hour on with Sprint tech in OK, they have no idea what's happening for me (I see LTE, it drops to 0 bars then disappeared, I have 3G, it drops to nothing, I get "emergency calls only")
Things done
Cleared cache from recovery
popped the SIM out and put it back in
Updated profile/PRL
Reactivated on the network using ##72something#
Had network technicians check the tower to make sure there wasn't just a coincidence.
Forced LTE/CDMA as under automatic it will not connect to 3G
They're advising me to factory reset at this point, I'm betting there's some data in there munged... you know, look at all the phones I ever rooted and the one that I don't gives me the problem.
Looks at how many apps I'm going to have to put the password back in because they're garbage... silently cries...

Yup, that's what they had me dial. It ran some white screen app for about 5 minutes then rebooted, re-registered on Sprint, same issues shortly after.

Updated yesterday, other than loosing access to the Google Play Store for a few hours, everything is working fine (so far)
what I noticed so far is that the OS consumes more RAM and there are processes that unintentionally close, Google assistant take a little more time to launch and same with the keyboard.
This new update sucks, anyway to roll it back?
Everything keeps on crashing.
I deleted or moved a few GB of data off the internal storage and still get the no space error.
whatsapp crashing
google play crashing
this is horrible
So no one has any idea? How can I fix this problem?
Hard reset
