Xperia Z2 Pre-Order Offers in UK - Xperia Z2 General

Hey guys. Since I spent the last few days looking for Xperia Z2 pre-order offers, I thought I'll share my findings with you. Here's the list of offers I managed to find. Please be advised that I included SIM-Free and unlocked offers only, as I don't care about contracts - for those you simply need to look at your network's page - and only retailers I personally know and trust as I ordered stuff from them before.
I know that some of them have already been mentioned here, but thought it would be nice to have them all in one place. Also, they are mostly UK retailers, but som if not most of them will ship within the EU so feel free to browse, even if you don't live here.

Thanks for posting these but it looks like the wireless speaker at CPW is only available on selected monthly deals

You might be right. This is a bit confusing, they posted the bundle on the SIM-Free page as well, but the * says "selected pay monthly deals".

Where did you find shipping dates for Clove and handtec? I see Clove says they will have stock starting the 7th. handtec doesn't appear to say anything. I'm not too familiar with these sites so I might just not be seeing it. If they are saying they will ship between 7-14 that would be good news. Thanks.

"First stock due week commencing 7th April"
This week is the 7th to 14th window. I assume they will ship as soon as they get the stock, that's why I put this date. All the dates, however, are not guaranteed.
Interestingly, I got an e-mail from Amazon's customer service and they assured me that their Z2s will ship on the 14th of April.

I don't get it, the phone was supossed to be released this month and sony said they're not delaying the launch only that their stock is limited but where are the phones? The phone should be out this week (last week of march) , it sounds plausible since the Xperia tablet Z2 was already released, but I haven't seen any early unboxings of the Z2 , any sample pictures from final hardware/software apart from the ones coming from Japan, the ones the press took while they were in Barcelona :crying: and that Clove review

I made payment to Clove and waiting for delivery. But still thanks.

Sony why must you hate the US

Pre-orders
wow thanks, I had a gdoc with all of this in and was checking the links seperately.
I too am leaning towards the amazon deal as I already have some gift balance available.
I do kinda wish they would price match the others though especially as the other's have a "better value" pre-order.

I'm not a fan of 'big red', but this deal seems good. How did you get the 20% discount? I can't see any mention on their website.

I just paid £360 to get out of my Vodafone contract early. Their network performance is shocking. Less 3g masts and when you do get one one, the performance isn't there, in my experience.
Would strongly recommend steering clear of their network!

Yeah I am on Vodafone in London and I hate it. Will be going else where for sure.

I haven't been able to find anything better than what's been posted already. Please update if the offers change or something new comes along.

Is there a specific place to go to on Amazon to get the voucher offer? I can't see it...
Also, have you seen it in purple on Amazon anywhere?

They appear to have removed the product as sold by Amazon themselves, I guess they have pre sold the allocation they have ordered.

Ya I've messed about with my sisters One X & I liked it
But
The Killers blows for choosing the SGSIII were removable battery & expandable memory. Plus all the other things smart stay etc.
I hope it now lives up to my expectations

Looks like Samsung is out hunting for girls.
I get mine on the 29th. I've got 3 days of work at the London MCM Expo, so it should kill some time.
i should be getting mine on the 31st through amazon.
bits i have also ordered are the dual pack of slim samsung cases, the tpu blue case(samsung), an extra battery, pack of 2 screen protectors(samsung) and recently the rock hard cover. Im always unsure which case will work best, but i hate the flip tops.
according to amazon, the screen protector should arrive on the 29th, the battery on the 1s of June. The covers are ordered from mobilefun and i have no info on those..
Pebble blue for me as well, and i have an extra 16GB micro SD waiting for the phone...
Aha! replaced my delivery method with amazon and now ill get it on the 30th of May! yeah!
Ordered mine through dialaphone for delivery on the 30th, so only 5 more sleeps! It comes with a case and 32GB card, but they turn up in a month which seems a bit bizarre!
I've ordered a rock case with screen protectors, a car holder, a bike holder for my golf trolley and some nfc chips to play with

Oww really, where did you get them from?
Sounds like something interesting I'd like to play with
I ordered 10 25mm ultralight ones from nfcdog.com it came to just under £11
But having read up some more apparently the 38mm ones are easier to use as you don't have to be as accurate with them
The plan is to for one in each holder to auto launch the correct program when I insert the phone. And one by the bed to turn the phone into silent
Did an early upgrade with Orange last night, guy on the phone was very helpful, 36 a month, 1000 mins, unlimited texts and 1gb of data.
I lost my SGS1 about a month a go and my bank have replaced it for me with an SGS2! which i will sell towards the early upgrade cost and any accesories i buy.
Gonna go with the 64gb sandisk mobile ultra sd card, and some sort of pouch.
Is there anywhere i can buy an official pebble blue battery cover? I'm concerned that because i'm upgrading through Orange that it'll have an Orange logo on the back cover and all the bloatware, can anyone shed any light on if this was the case for the SG2 or other newish handsets?
Been so indecisive on wether to get the blue or white that even now i've ordered i'm starting to have second thoughts
Ordered mine as a free upgrade from my s2. £29 per month 2000 anyone anytime mins 5000 texts 5000 3-3 mins truly unlimited web with no throttling. Result..... been hearing a lot in last hour blue s3 is delayed. Hope not tho

I've had mine ordered since the 5th of May. This has been the longest wait of my life!! I'm upgrading from an iPhone 3GS to the Pebble Blue S3 - 16GB + a 32GB SD card and cover.
I hope these delay rumours are unfounded! I was praying that because it was pre-ordered it could possibly arrive on the 29th.
This is my first Android phone ever!! So I'm looking forward to getting my hand dirty and showing its capabilities off to the iSheeple in my family (and friends).
Waiting for my sim-free blue S3 from Clove (hopefully not delayed!). Not planning on getting any accessories apart from at some point a case for the beach, and maybe the wireless charging kit when it's available but that will depend on price really. Already received and activated my replacement micro sim from Three so everything is ready

3 uk. They would not give me a deal and I said if you want my custom you'll have to offer me something better than what's on site. They said they couldn't so I asked to be put through to disconnection. They then sorted me out this deal..

I ordered the pebel blue Samsung Galazy S3 that comes with a 32gb card a screen protector and a pouch..
it's with Vodafone £29 a month for 24 months..
On top of that i ordered a few items to go with the phone..
1 x 64gb card
1x Samsung blue case
1x Car Holder + charger
1x Anti finger print screen protector
i have everything just waiting for the phone is killing me. But then again next Wednesday and we should be all good yay..
5 more days people lol..
I have a One X, but I have discovered that I can't live with just the available 25GB storage. The battery isn't such an issue, but I will certainly be happier with a removable one.
The One X has had teething problems. For example I still haven't got GPS, and HTC have said to get it, I will have to send it back for repair. So I have ordered a S3, from Carphone Warehouse, to collect on the 30th. I have got a 64Gb card, and I am looking forward to the 50GB Dropbox storage; double the amount that the HTC has. I wonder what - if any - teething problems the S3 will have?
When I get the One X back, I will compare them, and keep the best.

European availability, release dates and prices

This thread is dedicated for the European availability and pricing of the new Nexus 7 tablet. One of the puzzling questions right now is when are we going to get the device officially through Play Store, or through 3rd party retailers, and I've got some bad news, possibly not anytime soon. Feel free to share your information and contribute building up this thread
United Kingdom
Play Store - no info yet
Currys and PC World is taking pre-orders for £199 for the 16GB WiFi and £239 for the 32GB WiFi model, shipping from September 13
Ebuyer offers the same price, expecting the device on August 29

Germany

shout to the genius that closed the old thread instead of moving it here.
For France, apparently it will be for Week 38 ( September 16th) by FNAC after by the Play Store, I don't know

August 29th is certainly better than September 13th. Is there any chance of it being available sooner or August-September is really what we can hope for?

I am waiting until July 30th to see what happens and then going to pre-order from eBuyer! They shipped previous generation Nexus 7 before official release date in the UK.

I bet it means they have no clue about availability
I pre-ordered from Ebuyer day after launch, the price of £200 is a rip off, based on Google's pricing of the N7 2012 it should be ~£180 but I wouldn't be suprised to see the google play price cheaper. If it appears on play cheaper I'll just cancel the ebuyer preorder.

True, $320 nexus may end up costing £249 + overseas shipping costs. We will just have to be patient.. but it makes things worse knowing how many great books there are, waiting to be read on the best display yet!

I might order through com gate. Only downside would be the charger but that be fine. The import charge isn't that bad still cheaper than original UK price just need to add on the delivery charge from comgate.

I've ordered one on Amazon.com and shipping it via comGateway to the Netherlands since it's not possible to order directly from Amazon.
I expect it will cost me around $229 + $24 shipping = $253 = €190, €190 + €10 clearence costs (fedex) + €8 import duties = €208, €208 * 1.21 (21% tax) makes it a total of €250.
It's a fair price considering it probably won't be available here anywhere before mid September for around the same price.
A thing is, is it worth buying from US? I mean I think it'll take atleast a couple weeks, and then if there are any warranty problems, it will be awkward sending it back, having to pay for international delivery and whatnot

How come your fedex is that cheap. Mine is $28.80 for delivery.
Anyways the total price to get it delivered to UK including import tax is £238 which is close to the original price of £239.99.
And yeah warranty is a issue but I'll live. Hopefully it isn't a lemon Nexus 7 I get.
EDIT: £233 in total not £238.
Did the same with the Nexus 4 from the Google Play Store and within one and a half week I received the phone so that was a good experience.
As far is I can see the N7 will be delivered on tuesday at comGateway and from there it takes 3-5 working days shipping to the Netherlands which is pretty quick. In case I've got warranty issues I'll try to fix it with a local Asus repair center in the Netherlands, fix it myself (and losing warranty) or send it back to Amazon.

I'm paying comGateway $24 to forward the package and on top of that I have to pay Fedex €10,50 for handling customs (they advance TAX and import duties for me) so the total costs for importing the N7 is allmost €70.

Nexus 7 2013 India Thread and Where to Buy!

Nexus 7 2013 India Thread! Where to Buy!
This is a thread for discussing how to buy a Nexus 7 2013(flo) in India as well a tutorial for importing the Nexus 7 to India! Please share your buying methods and which forwarder service do you like/trust the most!
UPDATE: As pointed out by XDA Senior Member sidthegreatest in the comments below, Amazon is now shipping the new Nexus 7 directly to India with their FREE SUPER SAVER SHIPPING and they are charging less money than most forwarding services mentioned below! So buy from Amazon and get it shipped directly to your India address by Amazon
You also need to pay a customs fee upfront to Amazon at the time of buying the tablet. If the actual customs duty charged to you was less than what you paid at the time of purchase, Amazon will refund the remainder of the customs amount!
How To Buy Nexus 7 2013(flo) from India:
Step 1) Register with a forwarder service like HopShopGo, PPOBox etc. They will give you a US Address where they can receive your Nexus 7 on your behalf and then forward it to you in India!
Step 2) Buy the Nexus 7 from Amazon.com(using a Credit Card!) as they are selling it for the same price as Google Play Store USA and tell Amazon to ship it to your US address(which you got in Step 1)
Step 3) Once the package arrives at your US Address, Pay the forwarder to ship the items to your home address in India!(They usually accept payments in Credit Cards only! If you are thinking of paying via PayPal, PayPal requires a Credit Card too to pay!)
Step 4) Forwarder will ship it to your address in India. Pay the courier guy Customs Duty money in cash! He will have a Customs charges invoice with him to show you how the customs was calculated!
Step 5) Enjoy!
PRICE:
Nexus 7 2013 32GB WiFi = $269
HopShopGo shipping Charges(Express Shipping option selected!) = $25 (approximately)
Customs Charges = RS 3k approximately
I got my Nexus 7 32GB WiFi total(Includes shipping price, Mivizu Shell Case for Nexus 7 2013 worth 15$, Customs Duty) for Rs 23480
I had placed the order on Amazon on 18th August 2013 and had the Nexus 7 in my hands on 31st August 2013!
Important Note: If you buy a Nexus 7 2013 from USA you DO NOT GET warranty here in India! You can get it repaired at Asus Service Centres once Google officially launches Nexus 7 2013 in India but you will have to pay for that! This is clearly written in the Nexus 7 2013 warranty booklet included in the box!
Got suggestions? I will edit this post to make sure everyone benefits from this thread!
Hit the THANKS button on the left if this thread helped you in anyway
I got mine!
Thanks a lot. This method is really cool. I got my Nexus 7 12 days after ordering. And it still hasn't been released in India!

Can you explain bit more on step 3? Once I get it in my US address, do I need to ship it to the forwarder, who in turn will ship it to India address?
Also, are you sure about the warranty part? I remember reading here in another thread that it has international warranty.

Your US address is the same address which the forwarder gives to you once you register with the forwarder! In other words, it is the address of the forwarder's Warehouse where he can receive the package on your behalf!
So, you have to tell Amazon to ship your package directly to the address which the forwarder assigned to you(i.e. their warehouse address!) and then once the package reaches the warehouse, the forwarder will receive it on your behalf!
After that you pay the forwarder and then they ship your package to your ACTUAL address in India!

I am pretty sure about the warranty part. The Nexus 7 2013 manual clearly says that the warranty is only valid in USA, Mexico and Canada and is only given to legal US citizens.
Thanks. How about the charger? Are you using the charger that came with the tablet or something else?
Anyone here used PPOBox??
Amazon.com is shipping the N7 to India directly, so there is no need to go through hoops and use freight forwarders, etc..
Comes to Rs. 20324 inclusive of shipping, taxes, everything.
Got my nexus 7 from best buy in Canada for 16000 they were asking 49 dollars extra for international warranty. Having fun with it though it does have it's issues bit that's ok. Waiting for kitty katty 4.4

Why the hell are they charging 4900 bucks for import fee? Import duty on tablets is just 12%.
If anyone has ordered, did they refund the extra fee charged? Also exchange rate is marked too high @ 67

From what I understand, this is just the deposit, if the actual import fees charged is lower than this amount, they will refund the difference.
It is better to buy 32GB version as it has less import fee deposit. I ordered it yesterday. These are my charges
Item price: $269
Import fee:$36.01
Total:305.01
Totally, I was charged Rs.20,534 only.
I got it for my friend from eBay India.

Yeah, I am using the same charger which came with the tablet by using a US to India convertor plug that you can find in your local electrical hardware shop!
I got it for Rs 50 from a local electrical shop. If you don't know any such shop in your area, you can get one from ebay, like this one, http://www.ebay.in/itm/Universal-Adapter-international-Adapter-Plug-INDIA-AU-UK-US-EU-Plug-Converter-/200962922659?pt=IN_DVD_Players_Recorders&hash=item2eca52d8a3&_uhb=1#ht_3336wt_1275

You must be talking about the 16GB version, in the original post I mentioned the price for a 32GB version that I got from HopShopGo.
At the time I had ordered, Amazon was NOT shipping the Nexus 7 to India. Also, now the price is 21k something, looks like the rupee has recovered slighlty!

Ebay India Sellers are selling the Nexus 7 at very high rates!
Direct Import to India by Amazon is the cheapest option right now
So in reality what can be the date of launch here in india. What can be the the price of the 32gigs launch.

They are charging much higher for import duties. Even the exchange rates are pretty wild (there exchange rate=67.30 vs current exchange rate=61.77). Check the screenshot.
Can't find Nexus 7 which is shippable to India
Hello All
I, strangely, cannot find the link for Nexus 7 32gb wifi, which is shippable to India. All product links I am getting state "We are not able to ship this item to your default shipping address."
Anyone? Link? Or has Amazon stopped shipping this product to India?
Rgds.

Got my 32gb wifi from ebay(which was imported from amazon) for 22k using discount coupon in flat 24hrs

Available for £350 at Clove and Handtec UK !

Yes, amazing price (that's why I put an exclamation mark in my title).
Price includes vat, don't know how much the postage is.
Green colour not available from Clove, available at Handtec but costs a lot more.
Wow. That's actually an insane price. I'm seriously tempted the cancel my Sony Store order and get it through these guys instead.

2 quick questions as I'm a newbie to importing:
1) Do I have to pay "VAT" if I'm importing to the United States?
2) Would Sony honor the warranty on this 'grey market' device in the United States?
Thanks for any help you can give
Wow, indeed. I'll probably order from Handtec soon.

You'll need to pay the vat as it's been sold in the UK and the taxman will want his cut of that sale.
Don't know about the warranty, it could be a European one or Worldwide, you'll need to contact the seller or Sony to check.
Also you'll need to check that the GSM will work in your region.
Update - No vat to pay for exporting.
I'll probably order a red one from Clove tomorrow,I hope this isn't a typo and they honor the price. I'm sure though I've seen it on Clove before at £420, so it does look like this is a genuine price reduction.
http://www.handtec.co.uk/sony-xperia-z3-compact-16gb-green.html
£425.99 incVAT
£354.99 exVAT
Thanks for the info on the low price! Went ahead and ordered one from Clove.
Ordered mine. Great price. Happy to see Sony going for volume over margin. Hope to see lots of development on this, as it should be incredibly popular. Honestly expected it to be £500 at the Sony store and ~£440 at the cheaper retailers.
Re: importing to the US, you shouldn't need to pay VAT (contact the retailer to make sure they don't charge - may be better to order over the phone), but you will need to pay import / customs duty and possibly sales tax in your state in the US.
Me too. Brilliant value
GREAT! Thanks!
Just brought a red/orange one from Handtec, since they use DPD which is my favorite delivery company.
Does anybody know if the phone their sell is UK model, EU or grey import?
P.S. DPD will give you 1 hr window slot in the morning of delivery, and you can track the drive on a map to see roughly when you will get your delivery within the 1hr time frame. Much better than other company's 8am to 6pm delivery time frame, too afraid to go the the bathroom for missing the door bell approach.

There are only two models: D5803 and D5833. The D5803 has UK and EU bands, as well as bands for some US carriers. The D5833 is the one for Asian markets. You can be sure the Handtec one is the D5803.
Handtec removed the green z3c and also matched price with clove - both are about 290 GBP without VAT
Ordered mine today and was pleasantly surprised when it came out to 290 GBP at the checkout since I'm from Canada and don't have to play the VAT fee! Best pre-order pricing for a beastly phone eVar!
P.S. LULz at all the Apple fanboys waiting in line and paying nearly twice as much for a significantly more inferior phone, but hey, whatever floats your boat!

Hah! Yeah, I've seen that graphic make its rounds around social media. Classic. But also true! So by 2016, the iPhone 7 may have finally caught up to the Z1 Compact.
Ordered mine from Clove yesterday, with shipping to Mexico so no VAT.
I can't wait for this to be delivered!
Anybody know if phones from clove / handtec come as bootloader unlockable?
Listings say sim free/unlocked which is not the same thing...

From history, it has always been the case that sim free Sony phones from any outlet always allow unlocking of the bootloader. I doubt that this would change this generation.
Hah! Just noticed Clove is basically selling the Z3C for the same price as a Z1C. That's crazy!

Given that the price appears to have changed within an hour, it was probably a pricing error or something.
Yep... Now disappeared
did anybody get it at 291£? that would border on stealing
Managed to get the deal but now it's a waiting game to see if they will honour it. Prefer black and orange but can't complain if I can get it at that price.
I got it yesterday at € 404,43 on amazon.it, but today they cancelled the order saying the price was wrong. (19% off, from € 499)

Too bad the lower price at €281 even better .
Wonder what these will go for in USA - I see Welectronics has them as preorder for $699. Factory Unlocked.
Do you think we will see $500-$550

Clove/Handtec are at the 290 british pounds. With 2 day fedex shipping, Handtec is £301.89 which translates to $494 assuming your credit card doesn't charge foriegn transaction fees (~505 with paypal including fee). What makes the 291 price the norm in America is that we don't pay 20% vat (national sales tax) on the purchase.
Early Pricing of Z3 Compact
On the UK Site for SONY which I was directed to in order to purchase Z3 Compact direct from SONY the price
was 429 Pounds which is unfortunately about $701. lol
If it was $500 I would SERIOUSLY have shipped to USA via paypal , Site said free shipping, not sure if they would ship to USA.
Shipping date was September 26.
Switching to USA Sony via same Parent Site, no ordering or preordering options yet- a little strange maybe.
Assuming a little fine tuning in the Camera Software, a Manual with some semi Auto Modes where you can easily tweek exposures AND a little better QC on the Speakerphones so they are clear like the big Z3 and
this little Z3 Compact will be a great phone- probably worth $700 but ouch thats a lot for a Phone but hopefully I can get for $600.
Never MSRP on Ebay has preorder price at $ 629.
Well, I live in NY and ordered the Z3 Compact from Handtec for $504 through paypal so that is a doable thing (the thread clove special offer is about clove and handtec having the $504-515 preorder price with a free case/phone charger).
