Remove Branding - Galaxy Note

Hello everyone,
I have a german Galaxy Note (T-Mobile Branding) with following firmware specifications:
PDA: N7000XXKKA
Phone: N7000BOKK2
CSC: N7000DTMKK3
Now how to remove the T-Mobile branding to get regular updates?
There is a official Samsung ICS firmware on sammobile:
GT-N7000 N7000XXLPY 4.0.3 2012 May N7000OXALPY Open Germany
Is there a problem with my Productcode (DTM) or CSC?
Is it possible to flash this firmware per Odin without any risk?

Q: Does this ROM will TOP UP my custom binary counter?
A: No! Stock roms are from Samsung directly, they are ORIGINAL. They don't count as "custom" so the counter will NOT be rised.
Q: Does this ROM will reset my custom binary counter?
A: No, custom binary counter will NOT reset by flashing stock rom, to reset custom binary counter you will need to use patched bootloader.
WARNING (about insecure kernel)!
Insecure Means that adb daemon on phone is working as root. If you need more answers on what is insecure kernel, search over xda forums, the answer is there.
USING INSECURE KERNEL WILL rise your custom binary counter. Thats why it is packed in separate package than stock rom!

No. Modems are bounded to devices, international SGS3 is GT-I9300, thse got different model names and even different hardware.

I am going to move this to the US SGS3 general section, as the SGH-i747 is the same as the AT&T SGS3.
Hopefully the forum section should be renamed to indicated that the Canadian SGS3's fit in there.

does the md5 single image currently hold the kernel in it or no ?

I strongly suggest reorganizing the subforums to be based on device model instead of carrier, the current method could be quite confusing to non-US users.

Notw 10.1 WiFi
Does anyone have the official software for the Note 10.1?
I flashed the build on my WiFi N8010 from SamMobile but it's a retail demo version and is missing the lock screen, security settings etc.

I tried the Luxembourg ROM and its got a ton of bloatware. No problem if you're rooted and can do some clean-up but a waste of space if you're not. Also, the EU Media Hub won't work from the U.S. and can't be spoofed. The TTT ROM is the cleanest.

limestar: you can remove the retail/demo app (the video that starts right after your screen goes dim) by rooting the device, setting RW permissions to /system/app and removing the first app in the /system/app list (if I remember it correctly it's first one, anyway it's easily distinguished). No need to flash it. Actually it wasn't removed for some reason after I flashed the firmware found on sammobile (I am very new to flashing). Anyway if you do this please let me know what was the package name as I have to make instructions how to remove the thing and I cannot remember the package name and can't find the name on my gadget.

Reason why I ask is because on my friend's SM-P605 there seems to be no recovery mode any more.
He tried to install a root that was for the SM-P600 so it didn't work.
Now we only get into the download mode and can't access the recovery mode.
