[Q] Using Xposed for immersive mode - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone on a stock-based KitKat rom + xposed tried using Immerse Me or App Settings(not sure if it supports it yet) to force immersive mode? I haven't updated yet, I was just wondering if it works for when I do..

i use app settings to apply immersive mode on certain apps which works really well. i did also try immersive me, which does work i just didnt like that all apps were changed to immersive.

Immersive mode for certain apps

I've strange feeling that I've met with something like that in one's ROM "Features" section... which ROM is able to do such things? Or is there any app that will help me set immersive mode for certain app and not whole OS? Idk, Xposed maybe?
Edit:
I've found "Force immersive mode for certain apps" module in Xposed, but unfortunatelly it won't co-operate :/ any other ideas?
Get AppSettings xposed module. It let's you force immersive mode almong lots of other neat things.

Exact official app name for the stock lockscreen(s) on stock 4.4.2

Hey All,
Anyone know what the stock lockscreen app(s) official names are? I'm looking to use Xposed App Settings to force fullscreen mode like I have every other screen, apps and homescreens, but don't know the lockscreen app names in the system apps.
Thanks!
On a similar note, I'm guessing that the Immersive mode forces fullscreen the same way that App Settings does, is there a simple click to activate Immersive mode on all screens and apps?
Thanks again!
The lockscreen isn't a independent app, it's part of the framework (framework-res.apk). You can use modules like Immerse Me or Gravity Box to selectively force expanded desktop in KitKat.

Thanks for the info. I had already tried the settings in GravityBox and tried ImmerseMe as well, neither worked particularly well... Could be due to another app I have, Smart Statusbar+. I'll try them again without the Smart Statusbar+ installed and see what happens.

Edit to the post above from me: Gravity Box works great and even immerses the lockscreen, I didn't realize that after enabling it within Gravity Box I then had to enable it through the power menu...
Con - Double enable? Seriously?
Pro - Ease of turning immersive mode on and off, which may be nice in the future...
Thanks again @ATTACK !

How to hide navbar buttons for fullscreen/landscape?

It's annoying that lots of times the navbar buttons come up when using fullscreen/landscape apps.
I know that CloudyG3 had an option to hide the softkeys for individual apps, but I want to stay on rooted stock, because CloudyG3 is way to slow.
I also tried the app GMD auto hide and it was very annoying.
Any solution?

I installed Xposed G2, after someone recommended it to me to hide the navbar in apps. I had already the G2 Tweaksbox installed, anyway I tried to make sure there are no conflicts.
The result was that the LED keeps blinking constantly from green to blue and when vibration comes, the phone gets stuck for 5 seconds and then vibrates a little.
I tried already wiping cache, dalvik, uninstalling and deactivating the xposed modules. Didn't help.
Any solutions?
I have used xposed gravitybox fullscreen mode sucefully on stock d805, ot has a convenient power menu option to turn on and off.
Abou.t CloudyG3 2.2 maybe you should give it a go, I just flashed yesterday and can assure you its faster and more battery friendly. I wasnt sure about it before, but I am glad now. My benchmarks went up as did battery life.
Just Autorec, backup everything with usb otg and go for it!

expanded desktop/immersive mode

Has this feature been made avaliable to the 6t? Hoping a rom with it comes out soon. That's all I need the rom for essentially ?

I also was trying to find out if this is possible. I tried to enable sticky immersive with adb and it made the top bar black like you were disabling it in the settings menu. I like being able to swipe down to see everything but feel apps could be better using the notch area. I didn't like turning them all off in ui tuner either.

Use the app called immersive mode manager to set modes for apps and make sure you goto your Android settings and enable full screen mode for all apps. This will enable a swipe down status bar when immersive mode is enabled

I tried the app and got it working. The only problem is apps like chrome, Nova launcher still cut off the notch area of the screen. I appreciate the idea. Maybe this will get figured out later down the line.

You can get nova to work by enabling full-screen mode in the phone settings. Unfortunately for some reason Chrome isn't listed on the list of apps, that's why you have the black bar up top.

Got Nova working. I installed Dolphin browser for now until Chrome can be used. I appreciate the help! I had my 5T set up the same way with the sticky immersion.

how to make lockscreen in portrait mode?

as the title says
If you are using Xposed you can use Gravitybox.
Otherwise maybe a Substratum overlay could do the trick but I am not sure about this.
