[Q] [HELP] Camera delay, keep showed "Processing" after capture. - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone can assist? My galaxy note 3 LTE N9005 keep delay while captured photo.
"Processing" will showed every time after I capture a photo. It's very annoying and disappointing that a high end smart phone would be like that.
Assist please anyone

change your photo mode to automatic/normal? i guess you are in HDR or something else.

Now that we have gotten past the rooted camera issue, let see what people can do with 20.7 megapixels of sony goodness.
So I'll start.

What do you mean "gotten past" the issue? My understanding is there is no current solution

Same question, do you have any more samples to share in full resolution? Thanks!
Some samples
Hello all.
I've had the device for around 2 weeks now, so I can't say I have mastered it.
My experience says that It is definitely not as easy as an iPhone that you just point and shoot and 9 out of 10 you will get a good photo.
This phone/sensor has great capabilities BUT you need to work on the settings.
Here are some samples from these 2 weeks I have been using it.
:cyclops:
SAMPLES HERE
More will be added in time.
Did you use the default camera app, or maybe some alternatives? I like ProCapture, but the focus speed and overall snappiness is better with stock camera app.
Nice pictures thou, the manual mode selection and exposure compenstaion is really visible.

Yes, I don't need root as one doesn't need battery improving tweaks on this phone.

What you see is a not focused picture stitched into the pano. Third party cameras like google camera sometimes doesn't focus correctly, they don't wait long enough for the focus on this phone.

Since this is on a locked bootloader, I would like to point out that I've created such a topic already in the Themes and Apps section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/themes-apps/post-pictures-xperia-z3-compact-t2889119
There already is a thread for this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/themes-apps/post-pictures-xperia-z3-compact-t2889119

Camera settings - mods (without root)

Hi, is there a way to enable saturation control on this phone? or maybe shutter speed? some mod? some apk?
Also smooth-motion, is this another fake 1080p like the LG G2 60 fps option? which actually shot in 720p (upscaled) and does the digital stabilization works along with the OIS in this mode?
I'd like to add one topic to the wishlist: A FOCUS INDICATOR !
Just all digital cameras tell you if the autofocus worked - by changing the color of the reticle, by a sound - just the Note 4 does NOT tell you if it's autofocus succeeded or not.
So no one?

You can press on the screen for a bit longer and the circle/focus will lock on the subject you want to shoot.

Sure. But it still does not show if focusing was successful or not.

Erm... Am I talking Suaheli ?
OF COURSE it tries to lock the focus, but that's not the point.
There's NO indication if the focus lock was successful (picture focused, sharp) or if the focus lock failed (picture still unfocused, blurred). There's no indication by the Note 4, while other digital cameras output an audio signal, a beep, or change the color of the focus reticle (e. g. green for success, red for a focus failure) if the focus lock was successful.
Nothing of that with the Note.
So no one has any option to control shutter speed?
Camera being a system app, I don't think it's moddable (I know that's not a word) without root. You can install a different cam app though.

But often custom camera aps have terrible processing, the reason why i never install cyanogen on my phones
Maybe i will decide to root, but even with root, i don't see an option (mod or apk) to manually control the shutter speed?
Bump, what about saturation control?
Anyone knows a way how to control the saturation?

You can download Food mode, it has temperature control and produces more vivid pictures in terms of saturation.

Root your phone and flash the XCam advanced drivers. Using just the XCam apk itself won't cure your problem.

Try lowering your iso it should get rid of some of the grains but makes the photo a bit darker with sharper colors

Google Camera Mod with front camera working *A520F*!!!

Hi all!
I found on the web a version of Google Camera that works (a Little bit bugged xD) on A5 2017.
You don't have to change anything in settings. Just download and install It.
Here's the thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/themes/google-camera-portrait-mode-t3736859
And here's download links (G Drive): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SyiyFFVlrqCpCPG7PCTaU48RfzXGp8Vz/view
