[Kernel+Baseband][C6943]C6943_14.2.A.0.290_Kernel_Baseband[Kernel+Baseband][C6943] - Xperia Z1 General

Hi guys!
I have a C6943 variant from Xperia Z1, after search for a baseband for this model, i decide to make my own (I`m not a developer, and i just want to have better LTE connectivity).
I have tested and it`s working right.
So, here`s the link.
Install using flashtools.

[Xperia Z2][SO-03F] Japan DoCoMo Model Thread

I'm starting this thread as a meta-thread to gather all information specific to the Japanese variant of the Xepria Z2. From previous experience we tend to develop a small but committed community, but aren't big enough for XDA to open a dedicated forum.
Please add anything you know in the comments, and I will keep the OP updated with the latest information.
What we know so far:
A list of stock firmwares is maintained in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934
ROM interoperability:
You can flash D6503 Roms on docomo SO-03F, but some features are disabled. Specifically:
docomo features
TV related features
NFC (includes FeliCa, Osaifu-Keitai)
When you want to flash D6503 FTF on SO-03F, be careful to partition.
You'll get only 16GB storage if you didn't exclude partition because SO-03F has 32GB but D6503 has only 16GB

On Unlocking bootloader/rooting:
All Japanese Xperia models can't unlock bootloader, Japanese Carrier Model is locked bootloder.

The Japanese community does seem to have achieved root. See the link at the bottom.
SIM Unlocking:
Go to DOCOMO store and open up the phone and type in *#*#7378423#*#* and check if the bootloader can be unlocked.
Phone should be locked to DOCOMO, you need to pay a small fee to get it unlocked. You need to make at least one call on an active DOCOMO SIM to complete the SIM unlock.

Global Capability
The SO-03F supports the following bands:
LTE 2100/1800/1500/800 MHz (Band 1,3,21,19)
WCDMA 2100/850/800 MHz
GSM 850/1900 MHz

!!!If any of the links fail, please visit the original site and try them there!!!!
D6503 can be rooted, so SO-03F can also be rooted.
SO-03F 17.1.B.0.318 root method
Things you will need:
Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.7.***-BETA.installer.zip
Process:
1. Root as detailed in this page
2. Unzip Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.7.***-BETA.installer.zip and run install.bat to install the recovery
3. Reboot, and when the LED comes on push the volume key, enter recovery, and install the SuperSU zip
4. Done!
While it should be handled by rootkitXperia, should you be unable to remount system in RW mode, install this zip from recovery.
When updating to a version that cannot be rooted by rootkitXperia, if you want to maintain your root you must update using a prerooted .zip
A custom recovery is necessary for this, so please install XZDR etc. in preparation.
Necessary Files:
Newest Flashtool (Mirror)
PRFCreator
Updated FTF
SuperSU .zip
Z2-lockeddualrecovery(XZDR version)-BETA.flashable.zip
.zip to run with ric_disabler in install-recovery-2.sh
Process:
1. prepare prerooted zip
Open PRFCreator, create prerooted zip
Details of this difficult process are in this article
2. Enable USB debugging
3. Connect to a PC, copy flashable.zip to the phone
(you can name it anything you like)
4. Reboot and push the volume key, start CWM / TWRP, install flashable.zip
5. Install sony_ric_disablerv2_signed.zip
6. Done!

Some corrections and info...
"For the moment, no way to root without lossing DRM Keys. " and rooting information for D65XX should be deleted.
"For the moment, no way to root" is correct but since you can't unlock SO-03F's bootloader, "without lossing DRM Keys" will cause a misunderstanding.
Rooting information for D65XX is useless because you can't flash custom kernel on SO-03F.
When you want to flash D6503 FTF on SO-03F, be careful to partition.
You'll get only 16GB storage if you didn't exclude partition because SO-03F has 32GB but D6503 has only 16GB.
You'll lose these features when you flash D6503 FTF:
docomo features
TV related features
NFC (includes FeliCa, Osaifu-Keitai)

I heard the Japanese didn't release the Z2 but a similar one, the ZL2, which is pretty similar asides from its size.

You're probably thinking of the au kddi model. The docomo model (SO-03F) is branded as the xperia Z2. It's almost identical to the D6503, except for a few radios, 32gb of storage space, and perhaps a few other tweaks yet to be uncovered.

SO-03F or ZL2?
So, stay with DoCoMo, upgrade to the SO-03F but get no love as an existing customer,
or switch to Au and the ZL2? Concerns would be which carrier loads up the most crapware, which device has the best chance for being rooted, etc...

From what I've seen the DoCoMo version is closer to the global version, as AU has to modify it for their wireless standards. I think that's why it ends up with that hideous plastic back too.
Honestly, if I was going to go to AU instead of sticking with DoCoMo I'd wait until July when they release their G3 variant. It's got the same awful back modification on it, but seems to be an all around winner compared to the ZL2:
http://gadgets.ndtv.com/lg-isai-fl-1584
Additionally, we're only 5 days away from Google I/O. Chances are there won't be any announcements that affect the Japan market immediately, but I wouldn't make any purchasing decisions until then. Google Silver could cause some waves.
I'm still waiting between this and the Galaxy S5 to see which one gets root and custom ROM support. My contract is up in the fall and I am probably going to renew and upgrade from my modded Galaxy S3.
I was already leaning towards this one because the solid body waterproofing. Glad to see rom flashing (minus kernel and partition) is working already at least.
I know Japanese carriers ship with locked bootloaders on most models, but anyone a little more knowledgeable care to take a shot in the dark of the relative chances of getting custom recovery or kernel on this in the next six months? From what I can tell this seems very similar to the international model overall, so hopefully it's possible.
From what I have from on the SO-03F, it seems that root has been achieved in Japanese threads here:
http://androplus.kagome-kagome.com/Entry/172/
http://xperia-so03f-wiki.fxtec.info/wiki.cgi?page=root%B2%BD%A4%CB%A4%C4%A4%A4%A4%C6
This comes from 2ch, and I haven't tested it myself yet. But it seems like it's been successful for some users. Full custom roms seem to be still hung up on the kernel though.
If I am wrong please by all means let me know, this is just what I've found after a bit.
Double edit:
Apparently the bootloader can be unlocked:
http://androplus.kagome-kagome.com/Entry/165/
Using the Sony Mobile Flasher tool.
I'm still translating as I go, but it seems like on the Japanese side at least people are having success rooting and unlocking the kernel at this point. The guy writing recommends the DooMKernel, and links XDA, so it seems like they succeeded. Nice.
I don't have the phone yet, but anyone with the docomo Z2 and some Japanese, give this a try and let us know how it goes. I'd write up a guide/tutorial myself if I had the device.

The guy probably just owns an international version. There is a non negligible amount of HK units that have been imported to Japan for people that actually want unlockable handsets.

Ah, that is quite possible. I hope that's not the case however. Thanks for all your work btw. Big fan.
I spent a good bit of time translating it, and he mentions those models specifically. Is the HK model the exact same? I can't see anything on the page that indicates a import or that it's from China, and it was linked all over 2ch.

HK, Taiwan, Singapore and E.U. units and all D6503 handsets.
The main issue when using one in Japan is that you lose the Fullseg and FeLiCa features, you also lose most of the DoCoMo Xi LTE bands (although you can use it abroad, while you can't get LTE with the SO-03F in the E.U. or U.S.) finally, you only get 16GB of internal storage on the D6503.
P.S. Thanks, it's not everyday that my work is appreciated

If you live in the Tokyo metropolitan area, do you get LTE signals there ? If so, what's your carrier ? I plan on heading there soon and I wonder if I can use an Xi SIM to get LTE coverage there or if I will have to stick to 3G.

I live in Kyoto and I'm using docomo LTE Xi.
Though you can't use some high-speed Xi (band 19 and 21), you can use Xi (band 1 and 3).
Xi covers almost all Tokyo area, so it should be OK.

I'm currently using a rooted Galaxy S3 on DoCoMo, and my LTE functions fine despite the loss of my Tv and Osaifu Keitai features.
Did they somehow bind the LTE functionality to the DRM keys in the Xperia Z2 though? That would be some supervillain-ish stuff if true, and a much more serious concern than losing TV and Wallet functions for me. (My part of Japan hardly supports commuter cards).

Ah, I understand now. Yea I'd be buying the Japanese model so not a concern then. I'll keep looking into the bootloader unlocking then. TA backups work now as well thankfully. And the partition problem can be skipped if you skip writing the partition when flashing.
Still, I'll feel a bit more confident picking this phone up if someone with the Japanese model can confirm what I've read so far (TA backup, unlock bootloader, Root, flash).

[D6543] Xperia Z2 - Brazilian DTV-LTE Model Thread

Hey brothers.
Since our dear Sony Brazil decided to release in our country a Digital TV-capable LTE model and since this model seems to be sold only here, I thought it would be a good idea to create a Brazilian-specific thread so we can discuss any features, details or problems specific to our device.
While the Brazilian Xperia Z2 has just been released in our country (and, therefore, there is still very little information or data available for the D6543), I thought it would be a good idea to present some specs of this device in order to avoid or, at least, reduce the number of questions people (and specially newcomers) might have.
Differences Between Models
Most of the Z2 specs are the same on all models (D6502, D6503 and D6543), such as the same processor (Qualcomm's MSM8974AB), 3 GB of RAM, Adreno 330, 5.2" Full HD IPS screen and so on. The only differences between the models are:
1 - The networks:
D6502: UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz | GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
D6503: UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz | GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz | LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20)
D6543: UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz | GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz | LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 - no bands 13, 17 and 20 here, so forget about the 700 MHz 4G/LTE when our government/carriers finally manage to use this frequency, once the analog TV signal is cleared and made available for mobile networks)
2 - The Digital TV receiver
Well, this speaks for itself. Unfortunately, it is still the 1seg standard.
Apart form these two details, there is apparently no other differences from our tupiniquim model and the one sold internationally. The Xperia Z2 White Paper can be found here. There is also a far more technical datasheet on our devices which can be found here.
Despite both devices being different, you CAN flash a D6503 firmware on you D6543. You will lose your DTV app. You can try to restore it through Titanium Backup, but the app will force close (you'll only install the app, but not the necessary system files and whatever is inside the Brazilian firmware's Kernel, so it absolutely will not work at all). If you don't care about DTV, you can use a D6503 without any problems or worries at all.
3 - Rooting, custom recoveries, bootloader unlocking, etc.
At this moment I can only say what I have experienced so far, and, with that regard, I can confirm to you all that you can do pretty much anything you want in that matter as if it was a international 4G/LTE Z2 (D6503).
Rooting tools (at least for the .314 firmware) work as they should (I've used this one in both my Z2 and my Z2 tablet, but there is also this one that should work too - these are the only ones I'm aware of). TA Backup tool also works as it should.
For custom recoveries, I've only tried [NUT]'s XZDualRecovery (v.2.7.154) and it works like it should. Haven't ran into any problems yet.
You should be able to unlock your bootloader just like any other Sony device, but I'm honestly unable to confirm it 100% since I haven't (nor do I intend to) unlock mine.

You WILL NOT need the original FTF file posted above since I included everything in the flashable zip file, just flash it with a recovery of your choice (I use TWRP) and you are done. I've tested this on my device and it works perfectly, no issues so far. Since this new Lollipop firmware is very much different from the stock JellyBean and KitKat firmwares, it is highly recommended you do a factory reset before flashing this. Use it at your own discretion - it worked perfectly on my device and it should work just fine on yours, but don't blame me if it goes thermonuclear.

Notes
This works on ANY Xperia Z2 (D6543).
Your Xperia Z2 does NOT have to be rooted.
Your Xperia Z2 does NOT have to be bootloader unlocked.
This does NOT re-lock a SIM unlocked phone (unlocking is ONCE and PERMANENT).
This does NOT unlock your bootloader.
(Thank you @Apollo89 for coming up with this 4 lines on your Xperia ZQ firmware thread - I think they'll help reduce any doubts newcomers might have)
Since this is an international forum, I'd like to remind my fellow countrymen that we have to post things in English here, as per Forum Rules. But we can also post things in PT-BR, as long as we post it in English first.
Special thanks for contributing:

Moderators - I understand that there is a policy of avoiding country-specific threads for the sake of keeping things simple and direct, but I'd like to ask you guys to open an exception and keep an opened mind in this case since the Z2 model sold in Brazil (D6543) is available only in here and that may raise some problems very much specific to our device that may not receive the proper attention of the general modding community (such as finding a proper FTF file for our model, issues with the DTV, apps or the available LTE bands on this model, baseband issues and so on). Since this device has just been released here and it is a top-of-the-line device (which means it is very expensive in our country) it has not received any support as of today in Brazilian forums yet, so people may be coming here with a lot of doubts regarding this specific device.
If you guys believe a thread such as this is not important, feel free to close or delete it.
Thanks in Advance
Thanks for the effort on making this thread. We Brazilian customers are kind of left back on Sony's repository. At leat here, at XDA we've found a place to exchange our experiences.
I've searched everywhere for the carrier-free Brazilian tft, in vain...
I hope this thread can gather all our knowledge on this very specific Z2 model.

I hope this thread can gather all our knowledge on this very specific Z2 model.

I'm looking for brazilian tft file to, I'm updated to Germany 17.1.1.A.0.402 and now I want back to DTV and nothing. Please if you find it share with us.
OMG this thread is just perfect for me!
Xperia z2 is my first android device since i came from an apple iphone 4.
i am reading this forum like crazy for about 6 days and learning new stuff like rooting...bootloader...roms....kernels... i understand a little but our brazilian model is unique and i was really in doubt about doing all this stuff in D6543!
I hope my brazilian friends and all people from this forum can help me to make my device awesome!!
Does anyone know if the Japanese Z2 also has TV? I'm asking because Japanese Z1 also has TV (in fact Brazilian Z1 only has TV because we use the same digital TV technology as japan).
I posted a topic about this model here and some replied it's possible to use a foreigner firmware + the TV module to have a fully functional updated phone, does anyone tried that ou knows a tutorial?
Thanks.
Thanks everybody for the support - feedbacks like these are exactly what we need to make sure to the moderators that this thread is necessary and useful for us who have a very specific and unique device.
I'm still in the process of updating the opening post, so if any of you guys have a carrier model, could you do me a favor and send me (a post here or a PM) the customization number of your device? All you need to do is go to the dialer and type *#*#7378423#*#* (*#*#SERVICE#*#*) to access the Service Menu, go on "Service Info" and then "Software Info" and post the "Customization Version". That help would be very much appreciated.

I've spent all night yesterday trying to make a FTF file for the stock Brazilian Firmware, but I've had no luck. I'll try again tonight, after work, and if it works I'll share it with you guys.
@rodrigoath - Have you flashed a stock D6503 FTF on your D6543? And it was all OK, no problems at all? I've been thinking about flashing a D6503 firmware, since I don't care at all for DTV. Was the .402 firmware any better than .55? Better in a way that you can see (or feel, I guess), anyways.

Welcome to the android community, brother. You'll find A LOT of good information, mods and so on here on XDA (and I mean A LOT). And don't worry about being a new android user, pretty soon you'll be a flash-a-holic like must of us are sooner or latter (for me, it was around the days of the Samsung Galaxy SII - man, I used to flash a new custom ROM every week... Good times...)

Tiu Fiu, speaking for my knowledge with other sony models (xperias Neo and ZQ) you can flash another countries firmwares without problems, ZQ has 4G too, and i used to use the german firmwares, because they have the exact same 4G bands as we do.

I don't know about the Neo, but the ZQ was exactly the same as the international model, hardware-wise (still haven't found a suitable reason for naming it "ZQ" here and not "ZL"), and there was indeed no problem with flashing other firmwares in it (hell, first thing I did after I purchased it was to flash the german FTF and root it).
I'm wondering about the Z2 because of baseband problems that might come up (the D6543 doesn't have LTE bands 13, 17 and 20, that the D6503 has - I don't know if Sony uses a different LTE chip on our model or if it is just a software limitation - even though according to this article on Wikipedia the MSM8974AB chip has a built-in LTE support). Aside from that, I don't really care about the DTV.

By the way, everybody, I'm uploading the stock Generic BR FTF file to my Google Drive folder. I'll share it with you guys as soon as it's done.
I'll also create another thread on the General section and send a word to the OP of the Firmware Index thread.

Just a little bit of patience, fellas, it is taking a little longer to upload the file than I've expected (I'd like to thank NET and their great 10 Mb/s download speed and lousy 1 Mb/s upload speed, just freaking amazing ).

What means generic??? it's like a non-carrier rom?
So now that we have some ftf files from our model...i can root my phone....flash other roms and firmwares....and if i wanna make a clean restore...we can use these files...right???

Exactly, generic means unbranded, non-carrier firmware.
And yes, you can root (even though rooting a device is easily reversible), flash other firmwares and all that if you want to, with this FTF as backup.
Keep in mind, though, that if you unlock your bootloader, flashing a FTF will not relock it. It will not alter your SIM-Lock status neither.

L55u/L55t China Unicom/Mobile owner's thread

Hey all,
With my shiny new bronze China Unicom Z3 winging its way over to me as I type this, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for those of us who are picking up the China Unicom and Mobile variants. This will hopefully create a centralized place for people to share firmwares, root solutions, methods of installing GApps, recoveries and the like. Any useful files/ROMS/etc found by users, please post below!
Cheers :highfive:
congrats. how much did you got it for? and is the internal memory 16GB?
Aren't you guys missing gapps? It's about 4300 yuans. You guys have any idea when the Hong Kong version will be available?

Nice good to know, I figured out how much it is, too bad they don't ship it to main land China.
I paid 3888 yuan for it, which is about 380 GB or so. Finally arrived this morning! China Unicom, dual sim version - and the best part of it all is that it accepted the HK dual sim flash no problems! Thats the D6633 version of the firmware.
This means that I now have Google Play, Playstation app and all the rest of it, fully unlocked!
First impressions of the phone are great. I'm coming from the Z2, and it feels very different in the hand, but still familiar. Screen is gorgeous. I'll post further thoughts once I have played with it for a while.

So you don't have any radio issues? Cause I was thinking of getting it too.
So you got L55u and flashed D6633 firmware on it, amazing. Last time I remember it did not work with Xperia Z2. :highfive:
None at all.
The signal is actually better than my old Z2 - it works in my apartment building's elevator, which my HK Z2 didn't.
So far the phone is lightning fast, uber responsive, and has had no problem with either the Google Play Store, or the Playstation app. I'm in love.

I think the L55t is kinda unique since it is only for China Mobile and it uses only TD for 3G and 4G.
According to this post zhe D6633 is compatible to L55u (China Unicom) for sure:

Has anyone managed to flash the L55t with firmware made for the D6603 model such as firmware version 23.0.A.2.98?
If not does anyone have any firmware that works on the L55t that they have tested?

D6603 Generic Canada 23.0.A.2.93 & 23.0.1.A.5.77 FTF's

I just received my Unlocked D6603 Xperia Z3 earlier this morning, which I ordered directly from my local Sony Store and backed up its firmware using PC Companion and Flashtool. I previously had a D6603 that I purchased locked from Rogers and just wanted to share this with my fellow Canadians since no body else was able to provide and share this because it's different from the Generic Global firmware I've tried on my Rogers Xperia Z3. But I'm not sure if it's the same as the Generic US firmware because I've never tried it, nor really wanted to because it's a customized version. This is the official version directly from Sony Style Canada and your local carrier's APN settings should automatically be setup once turning on your device after flashing it with this firmware. Tested with a Rogers & Fido nanoSIM cards and both APN settings for each carrier were installed upon turning on the phone.

I think the generic US/Canada firmware is known as Customized US (customization number: 1288-7827). That's what it's referred to on XperiFirm and the Xperia arc's Generic US/CA firmware use the same name.

Docomo SO-02F gets transplanted with D5788 ROM

Sony has just recently announced a SIM-Lock Free model for the Japanese market called Xperia J1 Compact (D5788), which is based on Docomo Xperia Z1 Compact (SO-02F). I'm not sure of the exact differences between the two in terms of hardware, but I have read that the front facing camera is different and the new J1 Compact does not support one-seg TV. Apart from that, the specs regarding CPU, RAM, GPU, etc. appears to be the same.
I was using my SO-02F with MVNO SIM (IIJMio - using Docomo backbone), and I was quite happy with it, but I still had lots of Docomo bloatware that I couldn't get rid of, plus, I had to root to get A-GPS working properly and use adb to get tethering to work.
Since I wasn't worried about losing the one-seg TV functionality, I decided to transplant the D5788 ROM and see what happens.
Although the D5788 has not been officially released for sale yet (April 20th is the due date), I found that I can download the firmware via Xperifirm V4.3. I then proceeded to burn the ROM via flashtool, Sony Mobile Flasher by Androxyde V0.9.18.5.
I will not be explaining the procedure in detail, as there are many tutorials in these forums that do. There are no magical settings or tricks that you need to be aware of.
In the short time that I have tested the device, everything appears to work normally. I was most concerned about the osaifu-ketai (felica) functionality, but it appears to be working fine. Both the front and back cameras are also working. No more Docomo bloatware but there are some Sony ones, but I can live with those as they are not as intrusive. Finally, the A-GPS and tethering works without going through the hoops.
If you own an SO-02F or SO-04F and using an MVNO SIM, then I would highly recommend you try this mod. If you don't like it, you can always flash back to stock. However, all the usual warnings apply and you do this at your own risk. THERE IS ALWAYS A RISK THAT YOU MAY BRICK YOUR DEVICE.

I haven't tried the "normal" NFC, but it should work.
The osaifu-keitai (Sony Felica) for such things as Suica, Edy, etc. also works fine.
My apologies.
It seems the osaifu-keitai (felica NFC) doesn't appear to work properly.
It recognizes my balance for Suica and Rakuten Edy through the pre-installed Osaifu-Keitai app, but when I try to run the dedicated Suica or Rakuten Edy apps, it throws an error.
Looks like I will be going back to the original ROM. Perhaps I'll try again in couple of weeks when the Xperia J1 Compact is actually on sale. They may have an updated firmware by then which will resolve this issue.
Again, sorry about the earlier misinformation.
no worries, am waiting for lolipop anyway

sony has just recently announced a sim-lock free model for the japanese market called xperia j1 compact (d5788), which is based on docomo xperia z1 compact (so-02f).
There is always a risk that you may brick your device.

please
make a tutorial how'd you did it. I need it badly. This is my only way to make my ntt docomo so-02f openline.
Thank you so much!!!
hi I have done this. but, in start up, I still see a sim unlock code. is it not openline for all country? is it sim free for japan only?
I don't think this procedure will actually unlock your phone for use with any carrier's SIM. If you want to unlock, you still need to do it some other way.
I just wanted to test this out because I wanted a firmware without Docomo's heavy bloatware, without losing the osaifu-keitai functionality. Otherwise, I could just as easily have loaded an international version of the ROM or the custom ones.
It seems the Xperia J1 Compact is still not complete in regards to osaifu-keitai as it states on the official Sony website (http://www.sonymobile.co.jp/xperia/sp/j1c/index.html) that they are still working on adding full functionality.
THANKS! do you know any other procedures to unlock my device? I really need it badly. I hope there is a way to unlock xperia so-02f ntt DoCoMo locked to any carrier.

From the official image by sony japan, I think D5788 is more likely an unbrended (and unlocked) version of SO-04F ...
(although so-04f itself is based on z1f :laugh

Hi,
to unlock you have to go to a docomo shop, they will unlock it for about 3000yen.
If you are not in jp, i heard there are online shops that sell unlock codes
This will only make it sim free, not bootloader: unlock.

I would strongly advise against flashing the Z3 Compact ROM onto your SO-02F. The hardware are completely different and if you go ahead with the flashing, you will more than likely brick your phone.

The J1 Compact is based on A2 (SO-04F) and the A2 is based on Z1f. These 3 devices are virtually identical in terms of CPU, RAM, GPU, etc. Mean while, the Z3c is totally different. It has different CPU, GPU, etc.

UH. okay, I guess I really have to pay to make my z1f openline. BTW, if it is in other firmware, can it still be unlocked by sim network unlock code or I have to flash its original firmware back?

Sorry, I'm not sure. I never had the need to SIM unlock my device, so I never really looked into it. I guess it'll be safest to return the device to original first.
If you want more info, just search this website or search on web. I'm sure there'll be a discussion on the subject by someone a lot more knowledgeable than I.
NFC is working in A2 with a J1 firmware?
