i bought a ebay code and unlocked my i337 which worked , put my t mobile sim everything works except for sms doesnt work , to add i have the phone region unlocked with region lock away any help would be appreciated thanks

newbie here, just got the s4... The S4 is locked to AT&T and i am on ROGERS (canada) however I do not have the AT&T sim, what is the procedure i need to follow to unlock this phone. Do i need to purchase a unlock code or is there a free method available?

If you put a att sim card it will just work so no need for unlocking, but if you put a Rogers sim card then the the phone will ask for a unlock code

Hey maybe you could help. I tried everything. I downlaod the Odin, CF file and root the phone. also try to figure out and unlock my samsung S4, but it still locked and ask for code. I also got the REgionLock away app and it does'nt work. Well it does but at the end my phone still locked by the carrier : BELL Mobility
My mom gave me this phone as a gift and I want to use it with my actual carrier ''FIDO''... I do not want to paid 50$ for that..

Model SGH i337m. I tried most everthing including dialing codes (*#0011* follow step by step).. but its not working. Each time i put the sim card from my carrier (Fido) it asked for a code to unlock the phone. Im not an expert in that kind of stuff either but i tried to get my phone unlock whithout paying if i can. Could you helped me? Did you need my IEMI number?

There is no unlock code for the L720! You got scammed. If you want to unlock the phone for use on other carriers look for the threads on here that explain how to do it.

Region lock away only removes the blacklist from select firmwares to allow people to use their ALREADY UNLOCKED PHONES to be used worldwide.
In your case you have an AT&T locked device. You'll need a SIM unlock.

guys my brother sent me a samsung galaxy s5 from UK , he did insert his vodaphone sim into it but unfortunately didn't make any calls more than 5 mins to break the region lock. he bought it from the samsung shop .. fully paid £520 and its not suppose to be carrier locked because of that . now when i put a local sim here in asia .. its asking for a 'sim network unlock pin' can someone please tell me ... is my phone carrier locked or region locked ..?? your help is much appreciated or how to identify which lock prompts this 'sim network unlock ' message ??

Hi! first poster here.
I've just got this phone wich was recently unlocked from TELCEL MEX carrier. The weird thing here is that the phone work flawlessly with any domestic carrier sim cards, but not with my US T-Mobile sim card.
I've test this T-mobile sim card with other unlocked phones (Galaxy S4 i9500 and Alcatel Pop) here in México without problem, but in the S4 above mentioned asks for sim unlock code.
The cell phone is SGH-I337M with KitKat 4.4.2. and firmware CSC code TCE

This may be relevant or not.
My previous phone was an HTC Desire S on O2UK.
O2UK give you a free unlock on all contract phones after 6 months and send a code by email to you.
Any time I tried changing sims to a different carrier it asked for the unlock code, except when it was Tesco Mobile UK.
It may be that the original carrier requires you to input the unlock code for anything other than certain providers.
I tried to get an unlock code for my I9505 LTE but they said it was factory unlocked so can't speak about the phone specifically but with the Desire S, also on O2UK, had a similar issue.

I have the unlock code for the T-mobile sim card, but of course it's not recognized by the phone (or sim card?)
In the other phones tested the process was straight forward, just inserted sim, boot up and voilá.
Went to the Telcel's service center but the person there confirmed that it's unlocked.
I'ven reading about a "Regional Lock" of some Samsung devices, but i realy can tell if this the case.
Anybody else having this kind of issue?
Region locking I don't believe has anything to do with this. When the phone was unlocked, the region locking should also have been removed.
