Lumia 625 strange issue - Windows Phone 8 General

Hi All,
Yesterday, i purchased Lumia 625. First i tried to run here maps, it didn't run. Just flash screen and gone.
Then i check for updates, it says, your phone is up to date.
In setting -> extras, i can see Amber update is there but in phone info, it's showing latest version which is on Pakistan region 3056.40000.1349.2001 which is indeed a black update version.
http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/availability-in-middle-east/
Anyone help me to sort out this issue !

Check for Nokia system apps updates, I recommend you use SysApp pusher. Update all you can, then see if problem is solved. If not, try a hard reset.

Reflashed but still the same

Then it's a defective unit. Request a replacement at your local Nokia service.

I think I rooted, how can I tell?

I followed 42turkeys' excellent How To Root and everything seemed to work as it should. I then used the ROM and root updates from andrewb84uk and they went on OK with no apparent problems. Andrewb84uk has since seemed to lose faith in his own ROMs, although other users, like me, are happy with what he's done. My phone seemed to be working fine, I can boot into recovery mode, and I really like some of the new features on 2.1.
So, my question is this; how can I tell that the root worked OK? I never really investigated the OS too much when it was running 1.5, so I'm not sure I'd spot too many of the subtle differences. Also, it is an updated OS, so any change I see may simply be an update rather than the result of root.
Does simply the fact that I can boot in recovery mode confirm that root is successful?
Go to the android market and type in Screenshot in search...
Download the app and see if it works...
If it does your rooted!
It it doesn't your not rooted!
See below...
It works! Many thanks...

Instead of using OTA, you can manually flash your phone to 4.4.2 using the stock Google rom.

You'll need to unlock the phone's bootloader and reboot before continuing.

The error message can arise for various reasons. Backup your user files and do a factory reset to see if that resolves the issue. If not, try flashing the most current stock firmware available for your model.
There were some phones that were seeing failed cameras due to a firmware bug. If the issue persists, then your recourse would be pursuing a warranty claim.
.
My friend had this issue on her S3. Clearing the data and cache of camera apk and then going into recovery and clearing cache 2-3 times fixed it for her.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Probably somethings wrong with the camera apk
Try factory reset and wipe dem caches. Also, if this problem continues to persist. Consider reflashing a stock rom or try flashing another rom . One other problem could be from a faulty rom download? As the apk could be corrupted.
If the problem readily goes away, don't worry about it. If it recurrs with any notable frequency or persistence, push for a warranty claim. It is a known failure point for early production phones.

NFC Issues - Doesn't turn on

Hi,
I have an issue with my OP5. I'm rooted with Magisk and I tried to use Card Emulator Pro app.
I think the app changed the NFC configuration of the OP5 and I can't turn on the NFC.
I tried to restore to NFC configuration back to default but it doesn't change.
Does anyone here has the same issue ?
Here is my log with the error

Hey, i just fixed it by downgrading it to a earlier version. It must have something to do with the latest version firmware. try with 5.0 it worked for me. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3628190 download it from here. It should fix it but it will perform a factory reset. but no media data will be lost. once downloaded place it on the phone and head to settings->update_then little ... menu and local file.
hope this helps. I use google pay alot so a fix is a must, thought it was hardware issue

Constant reboots after android 12 updated

I have an Australian Exynos variant S10+.
I updated the phone to android 12 last night, now phone is stuck in a reboot loop.
Starts ->Responsive for a few minutes -> Freezes for around 5 minutes-> Reboot->Repeat
Any help is appreciated.
Factory reset.
You can try it in safe mod. If that stops the reboots it's a 3rd party app likely causing it.
Regardless after a major firmware upgrade it's best to do a factory reset.
Personally I would have stopped updating it at 10...

Cool, I like that app! Wasn't aware of it.
It probably would integrat with my N10+'s running on 9 and 10.
Glad you found it the issue the easy way...
Try this setting change to block ads globally. It works pretty well.
