Just Got T-Mo G2, 4.4.2, Strange issues, Wifi Calling - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, this is actually a post regarding my mom's LG G2 we just got for her. We switched from Sprint and got this in the mail. I was excited to handle a new device as usual and was surprised to learn that it already had the Kitkat update. I soon discovered that outbound Wifi-Calling calls would not work at all, however SMS send/receive as well as receiving calls over Wifi worked just fine. There are no error messages associated with the Wifi calling, it will say connecting when dialing a call and then say call ended after about one second. I did some digging around and learned that T-mobile has not actually released 4.4.2 for the LG G2 so I assume that this may be related to the issue, considering the Wifi calling framework is something they add over Android. I assume that the phone my mom received has some sort of test build on it or something? Maybe you guys can help me out with it. T Mobile support were friendly but basically useless in getting this problem resolved, and said that the outbound calls is a known issue for this phone. I suspect that may be BS but maybe not.
Here's some info about the phone under software information:
4.4.2
baseband: M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190034
kernel 3.4
Build JDQ39B
Software version: D80110g
Does any of this look familiar? Is this some sort of testing build? I may just try and send the phone back and get one with a more stable 4.3 if possible.
Thanks for any help or information you can provide.

That's 4.2.2 not 4.4.2
All the build numbers you posted except the 4.4.2 refer to 4.2.2

[Q] Samsung Epic on Boost Mobile MMS problems

First of all I am brand new here so I apologize for any ignorance I may have here! I tried searching the forums for an answer to this so if this was already addressed I apologize. I have an Epic that was recently flashed to boost and having issues with sending and receiving mms messages. It always says that it failed. I went in and changed the url to mm.myboostmobile.com and changed the proxys to 0 or 0's and it still isn't working. This is occurring on both of my epics. I know it can be done because there are corner stores by me that have it functioning perfectly. The reason I changed the proxys to 0's is because that is what I did for my Samsung Transforms and it worked great (until I allowed the system update). Does anyone have any suggestions?
Best bet would be to go to the development forums and find the thread there and PM someone who has it working.
have you figured it out I have the same problem
I suggest going to the thread called Epic on boost, MMS working.. and read it.. it tells you exactly how to make it work. Its in development. May I also suggest searching?
I am going through the exact same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im glad im not the only one I was able to recieve and send jsut fine but now I can only recieve only on wifi or 4g, im on boost running 2.2 ec05 stock rooted, you might be sprint but I know all my proxy information is put in correctly because it was working before,I cannot send out and also my prl does not update and prl I was thinking about odin'ning down to 2.1 to see if that fixes my issue, while on 3g I just get download unsuccessful and when trying to send message just sits there and then after 20 min red x in handcent, I still have stock messaging

[Q] HELP - Nexus 4 call log issue with international calling card

So bought a Nexus 4. And I am so upset with one major issue with this phone: it's inability to properly record calling card numbers. I dial internationally a lot, and my phone company provided me with an access number. So all my outbound calls look something like this: 1 800 xxx xxxx , 011 xx xxx xxx xxxxx #
Now, if I dial ten different numbers (already stored in my contacts), the call log or history shows only the access number (the 1 800 number) ten times!!! I have tried this on a Samsung Galaxy S3, on a Samsung Galaxy Blaze, and they all have this problem. I also have an HTC One S, and some old HTC MyTouch and they DO NOT have this problem! An older LG Optimus T HAS this issue. What the heck?!?!
I have tried multiple dialers, and none can handle this properly. I have researched forums as much as I could, and it seems that this is a somewhat common issue with Google Voice calls... I have reached to Google and this is what they said:
"I understand you are having an issue using a calling card for international calls and not having them present in your call log. As of right now there is no current workaround for that and I apologize for the inconvenience. We frequently share customer feedback with our development team and will be sure to pass along your input."
and when I asked if this will ever be fixed:
"It is a known issue and there a solution to the problem is currently being worked on. Unfortunately I do not know when a solution will be available so I can't advise you whether it would be a good idea to return the device or not. If I can assist you further please let me know. Once again sorry for the inconvenience."
I fail to understand how this MAJOR FLAW can exist in the phone that promises to put "the world’s information at my fingertips", and yet, it cannot perform something as basic as remembering the very international calls it made...
Is there something I can do? Install? Am I stuck with HTC? Should I thus take a leap of faith and keep the Nexus 4 hoping for a fix to this problem?

[Q] Recieve only some messages after modem update

Hey guys,
I've had troubles with the disconnected SIM card reboot issue for a while, but it just came back hard, so I figured I may as well try upgrading the modem.
I upgraded to the newest rogers modem (I337MVKUFNI2) and I am having issues where I only recieve certain texts, but have LTE and can send them fine. When I go into about settings my mobile network state is "disconnected" and sometimes goes back to connected even though I seem to have reception. Now, I think I probably was also not recieving texts for the past ~2 days. I'm currently on 4.4.4 SlimKat.
Anyone experience something similar? Really not sure what to do to fix this.
Thanks
edit- Also, is there a chance this is hardware related?

Can't make calls on 4G LTE only

Ok I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I recently had to get my T-Mobile S5 sent in and replaced. The new one came with 5.1.1 and latest baseband FOG6.
I ended up using TrapKernel to get root and then proceeded to restore a backup I had made from my previous phone. Now I know this little info isn't very thorough but I can't remember the exact name of the ROM I was using, just that the zip file is S6_V7.zip. I wasn't sure if it would restore correctly with the different firmware versions from the first and second but it restored fine and everything seemed butter smooth. And then the problem pops up. I go to make a call and it gives me the connected little chime at the beginning of the call but then it never rings, as well as it will not receive any calls. However I can use data just fine and pretty damn fast too. Now in narrowing it down a little farther for troubleshooting purposes I tried to make a call using the WiFi calling and it worked just fine. Then I switched it off and in my house I have poor reception, just bars, no 4g, no 4g lte. It made a call just fine. Then I tried it when it said 4G and again called just fine. However when I was on 4G LTE it won't make calls. Needless to say very perplexing. I've searched the threads and never get a solid answer. So to recap:
Can make calls on network I think 2G, or 3G, 4G, and WiFi.
annot make calls on 4G LTE
Airplane mode is not on, blocking is not on. I restored stock Rom that came with and will call just fine. So I'm thinking maybe the ROM I'm using now isn't compatible with the new baseband, or something along those incompatible lines. I think that's about all the info I can think to provide. I'll provide my setup info.
ROM Currently Using that has issues:
Model: SM-G900T
Android Version: 5.0
Baseband: G900TUVU1FOG6
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-4033351

Anything else needed I can provide.

Not getting connectivity on LG G2 VS980

Hi guys,
I am new here. Initially I had my vs980(verizon) LG G2 on official android 4.4(kitkat) and used a t mobile sim(but I never used to get 4g internet. I used to get HSPA(3g)internet but I had to reboot each time to use it,2g internet worked fine) and I could call and send messages.
My problem
And then something weird happened. I couldnt get any connectivity at all. It says that I have connected to a 4g network, but when I try to call the connectivity dissappears. I can recieve messages, but message sending fails. I cant recieve or send calls.
Solutions I tried
1. Tried my friends T mobile SIM on mine. Same issue ( But my SIM works normally on his phone)
2. Installed official 39a lollipop from verizon. Same issue
3. Installed T-mobile ROM lollipop which I found on xda here . Same issue persists, but I can at least use wifi calling now.
Any idea on what the issue might be? Or any solution?
Do I need to try flashing a different modem or something?
Or could this be a hardware issue? since it failed across different roms(official/unofficial)
If its a hardware issue, any idea what parts should be replaced?
