What I meant was the advance power menu
Where we get the reboot options on the power menu/
Would like to do that and have it on a stock rom
By the way, I did the 3dot mod on Paranoid Beta 6 and worked
I got the 3 dots on the navbar
Thanks man

So renaming to. Zip instead of all and unzipping isn't enough? What exactly do I need to decompile the apk.
I apologize ahead of time if this was somewhere else in the thread that I missed

Nice, I made a menu button mod on Xperia Z 4.3, now, back then I made it so, that the 4 buttons would all be on the same distance and same size. Could you do that aswell
? I think that it is astetically better (no center button). The way you did it the menu button is on the far right, this does look weird.

Woah... Wouldn't use GravityBox be much easier??!

Hi,
Not everybody want to use Xposed stuff for various reasons... and use GravityBox just for have the 3 dot menu...
When someone made a guide to modify some parts of the system, spent some time to write the how-to, etc... no offense, but just say "you could use an Xposed module, much easier", not very nice.
It's also the pleasure to do some modifications by yourself, learn to decompile/recompile, understand some stuff, make your own mods, etc...

Consider we do these guides to help people to understand Android, and also because we like modding
it's funny and also interesting
(my needs: Manually added
persistent menu button
clear all recents
cool colored battery%
what else???
If I need something more I will install custom Roms... not xposed)

THIS IS FOR Liquid ICS *MR2.6* JMOD ONLY!!!!!!1one111one
Standard disclaimer: Not responsible for any damages this may cause! You may want to nandroid before flashing just in case.
MOD 1 - 4G ICON
This will make it seem like you have 4G rather than 1X. It will not improve data speeds.
Just replace /system/app/SystemUI.apk with this http://db.tt/lvCmSI6Q

MOD 2 - NEXUS-IFY ME CAP'N
This completely disables the use of the physical soft buttons (home, menu, back, and search) and shuts off their backlights.
It's for people who would like to use the on-screen buttons and not have to worry about the physical buttons being accidentally pressed.
NOTE: Have the navbar enabled BEFORE flashing this!
Flash this through recovery to apply it. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61129367/disablebuttons.zip
Flash this to re-enable the buttons. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61129367/enablebuttons.zip

Possibly more to come.
Maybe.
Doubt it.
But it's possible.
I may get bored and make some.
I do that a lot.
I love you .
Just kidding.
That's weird.
K.
Enjoy.
Bye.
:good:.
Good job on both of these. All I need now is working visual voicemail. And I know I know Google voice is better. And free. But since my boss pays the 2.99 a month..........well you get the jist of it
Edit....uh oh. I pushed the systemui.apk to system/app and rebooted. Now I don't have a status bar . Any ideas?
Edit again..... so I pulled the system ui from the rom package to go back and I can't get my status bar back. I'm lost now.

sheeeeeiiiiiiiittttttttt well i was using root explorer and moved the system UI from my /sdcard/download to the system/app and pasted it to overwrite the old System UI and then after it overwrote it just kept force closing and then shut off and back on, it would let me use for about 20 seconds and then shut off again, WHAT DID I DO WRONG? Can i fix it with out having reflash the ROM? Also, i forgot to rename my radio so boot loader is inaccessible to get me to recovery
I'm pretty sure that replacing the system UI apk would need to be pushed through adb.

EnergyROMv1

Hi guys, I wanted you to meet my ROM, called it the "EnergyROM"
1-ROM is based on CM 7.2 Fat is fast and stable.
2-BRAVIA Engine has some other cool additions.
3-Launcher is cool and has the same buttons as GalaxyNexus.
4-Good baterry live
5-application for music this Zimly ,it is very polished ...
6-No browser, but Google Search
7-DSP manager
8-File manager: File expert
9-Kernel: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL562111 [email protected]#1
10-ICS Theme
11-ICS launcher
12-ICS Bootanimation.
13-I wanted to add that when you click on something in the status bar (This small rectangle in the middle), it will free us to RAM, in my opinion, for the cache.
14-as to what it all pulled on the Internet...
I would add that, unfortunately, I was unable to set the ICS theme as the default theme, so if someone tells you how to be grateful.
DOWNLOAD: REMOVED
Installation (read it carefully):
-Go to the CWM
-Then we wipe all
-Install ROM from SD card
-reboot-
-How do we turn phone to enter the Theme Choosler and choose ThemeICS
-reboot
-We enjoy if they like it, of course ... : D

According to the forum rules Everyone has freedom to present his work on XDA.
But you are presenting your work without any information!!!???
Devs recommended that to refer some others thread before starting a new thread.

Don't criticize someone's efforts. At least try to follow the spirit of XDA.
It's probably his first attempt at making a ROM , guys . Give him space .
I'm sure the insulters have either never posted a ROM before or are habitual trollers .
@OP you can check my GingerDX build.prop to see how I set the ICS theme as the default theme , but you must make sure the apk has the same name as what you're specifying in the build.prop , otherwise it won't work

That's not his work. The custommms.zip is something he found on an old ROM. So I'm sure it would be fine. I too am looking for this to work on my n5. Nothing on the playstore works that great and hangouts sucks balls.

Different framework can't be shared, just drag your modified framework to the zip https://mega.nz/#!vcI12R4S!kKK3FDIyT6fl2IAin4yKX4p0Xix0CO2OtgSJMt3zbgI in the corresponding folder and flash it in recovery.

Just downloaded and flashed your zip, now my phone won't boot...
I'm getting the startup logo going in a loop.
Do I need to do anything else?

Now you know why i was saying different systemui mean different framework.
Put your original framework in the update.zip and flash it.

Was it something you told me? I may have missed it. How do I put a framework in a zip? I can't access my phone memory now.

Press power button and volume down at the same time until you enter the bootloader , select recovery, locate your original framework using twrp file manager then move it to system/framework , now set chmod 644 and reboot the phone.

Cheers for the quick reply. Interestingly, in system, I just have 'bin', no 'framework'.
Are you saying I should move your fram.zip here?

No. I mean your untouched framework that you saved in a folder, you must move it to system/framework/. If you don't have it then you must dirty flash the rom.

I've reflashed the xtrasmooth rom that was on my sd. It's starting now -optimizing apps at the moment. I hope I haven't lost too much in this process.
Everything is just back as it was before, pheww
I still don't have the Power menu though lol
