Verizon piss me off, cause I love their phone and I can't have them :'( - Galaxy S 4 Mini General

How comes Verizon always have the killer phones and we can't see them in Europe ?
http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_droid_mini-5603.php
Smaller form factor than our beloved S4 mini (121.3 mm height), same screen size (4.3'), bigger resolution (720p), bigger battery (2000 mAh), better GPU (Adreno 320)...
I am so jealous xD

HTC One vs Galaxy S4 (undecided)

So it's time for a new phone for me from the Evo 3D. I keep phones for 2 years and I choose phones based upon specs and what I like (didn't get the 3D for the 3D).
I am asking for the best attempt for non bias opinions for which would be the best phone to own for 2 more years.
I would have gotten the Galaxy S4 if it came with the 8 core but since it comes with a quad core at 1.8Ghz over the HTC One's 1.7 that is no longer and issue. With Kernels and OC I'm sure they will both be very stable at 2Ghz which is plenty fast for a phone.
My biggest concerns are the Camera, the sound, screen quality, size and customization.
Camera:
So far I am loving the HTC One's low light camera. If I want a high MP camera then I will use a camera but most of the time I want to take a picture with my phone and it turns out bad it is in low light. So I like to give the +1 to HTC One on camera plus the Zoe feature seems very nice and useful. I will have to wait to see how the two compare and I hope the Galaxy S4 has some samples after it gets announced.
Sound:
I like the amplified speakers on the HTC One, though It doesn't mean the Galaxy S4 isn't going to sound nice. I havn't heard anything about the speakers on the Galaxy S4 so I need to know more about this one to make a decision on which gets the +1.
Screen Quality:
This is a tough one for me, both are probably spectacular and screen size isn't what chooses the +1 on this one for me. I like the quality of the picture more. If anyone sees some good info on this plz post when it comes available.
Size:
I could never own a phone as big as the Note 2. It just isn't pocket friendly and I don't want anything that big. It's great for those who want to mix a tablet with a phone and size isn't an issue, but for me it has to be pocket friendly and not pocket filling. I havn't seen dimensions of the Galaxy S4 on this so I can't decide until that information comes available so please post when available. But from reviews the HTC One looks like it's a good size in the hands.
Customization:
This one is big since It's very fun to do and worth doing. The battery is an issue for me atm because I wouldn't know what to do when it freezes unless there's a reset button that acts like a battery pull (then it's important to how I get to it. If it requires a pin then I have to think how often will I be able to take a pin out and reset it) . For me I don't have to replace batteries in my phone and technology in batteries is increasing and they should last 2 years unless your eating you battery up 2-3 times a day. Mine has always lasted me the day because when it's low I just limit myself.
The SD card isn't really a problem for me because I only own a 32GB version SD card and I will just use it as a USB if I were to get the HTC One or pop it in the Galaxy S4 if I were to get that one. 32GB is plenty for me as I have an IPod for music and don't need a ton of movies on my phone. One of the things the S4 is big about is the scrolling feature, but I'm not sure that is important to me. I also don't care for the new sense and it's focus being live feeds.
If anyone has any input on the categories please let me know. I usually get phones for my parents when I get one for myself too. So far I am leaning towards the HTC One which is why I came here. I just need to know more before I can decide.

How can you decide between something that has not been released yet???
Against rules to compare, thread will be closed as soon as a moderator sees it

Obviously the best thing to do is wait until the S4 announcement. Read reviews for both phones but don't take them as gospel. Read around for other impressions, watch some videos and if possible see if there are any demo units near you that you can try out.
Otherwise look at both specs and see whats more important for you?
Higher MP camera, removable large battery, MicroSD slot, RGB notification led, 5 inch OLED display? - Go for S4
Better build quality and looks, better low light camera, HTC Sense and Zoe, superior audio output, 4.7 SuperLCD 3 with higher PPI - Go for HTC One.
I have ordered the HTC One, but if the S4 announcement is good and meets what I want then I will definitely be looking to get that.
Yeah you have to wait 2 more days and the s4 will be announced, then you will know the official spec of the s4 which i doubt would be much better than HTC one

When did it become against rules to compare phones based upon one persons needs and that person asks the community for assistance. I know XDA has changed from what made XDA the place to be, but seriously can't see it being that bad.

Sorry, but this fires up the brand bashers and instead of any real help, you'll get only fanboy trolling. This is why it is against the rules

Please read the rules. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2158159
As a comparison thread isn't device-specific by definition, it cant stay on a device forum.
You could make such a thread in Android General if you so wish.

HTC One or Gs4

Im on sprint and supposedly I wont be getting the 64gb model of the htc one. Im kinda into style and the Htc one is stylin
Okay so from what I know Htc one Pros: Sense 5 ui isn't as thick as touchwiz(I might root and rom eventually), Camera is still a little better in color detail even though lower megapixels etc., Beats audio, Higher pixel density(Good for pich and zoom), LCD 3 has better color than SuperAMOLED, Hardware is basically the same.
GSIV Pros: Bigger screen, Slightly bigger battery(but with bigger screen and heavy ui it is basically the same as one except in sleep mode), Higher clocked processor(also basically the same cuz of screen and heavy ui), Removable battery, sd card slot(which means I can buy the 16gb model and bet a 64gb sd card), lots of features.
So this is what I can tell so far let me know if I missed something
This isn't allowed for one.
2ndly it has been beaten to death 100000000x over.
Sorry man.
What do you mean "isn't allowed"
Lol someone has a gs3

GS4 obviously
No phone comparison threads. We don't want playgrounds for fanboys. See guide sticky for explanation. You can compare single features of phones, but no overall "Which is better". There are millions of that comparisons already out there. Look in review thread sticky. No need for another one.
Thanks

60% superior to the Xperia Z

Taking Hardware,Display and Design into consideration the HTC One was considered 60% Superior than the Xperia Z.
http://totaltechwar.com/xperia-z-vs-htc-one/
LOL such things with % superiority number really crack me up. Xperia Z was disappointing for me as well. Personally it is no contest to even likes of S4. One is vastly superior. DIsplay is just plain average and loudspeaker is ****.
But I can never understand how anyone can come up with such % figure for superiority.

Comparison threads are not allowed in the HTC int forums, as highlighted in the moderator sticky. Please think when you open a new thread, do we really need another comparison thread? Judging by the quantity you have opened, i say not.

Yea nice video but probably best not to have it open as it will turn into flaming.
Comparisons between phones are not allowed due to the inevitable flaming and trolling that ensues (especially when comparing high-end phones where emotions can run a little high). Closed.

I think Antutu Benchmarks are really fake.
I mean we can clearly see MI6 competed almost neck to neck with MI8 which is 1 year new and ANTUTU/GEEKBENCH say the ratings are almost doubled.
I won't trust benchmarks again.
MI8 is a bit faster and RAM management will be better with time, but i think MI6 still packs a punch.

Because it open an apps faster doesn't mean it is faster... You will have to test every single app and see how it behaves.....
Mi8 is better, because it was designed to be better than the MI6... That doesn't mean you have to throw your phone and rush to get a MI8...
The phones we own, are good until we can´t do what we want..
Main problem of the Mi8 explorer edition: Screen size. Mi6 is the maximum for me. And I dont want a fingerprint-sensor on the backside.. Will have to wait for Mi8s or other "newer" versions or for the Mi9..
Also the Mi6 is a really fast phone with much RAM (6GB). So it should be more than enough to last another year..

Exactly, if my MI6 breaks today, I have a serious problem: I do not want a bigger phone or a fingerprint sensor on the back, so the MI8 or MiMix2 is out of the question.
Today I read about a possible alternative, Meizu M15. It has has a 5.4" screen, but is overall size is comparable to the Mi6:
MI6: 145.17mm x 70.49mm
Meizu: 143mm x 72mm
Ok, 1.5mm wider, but 2mm shorter ... definitely ok size-wise for me.
Downside: It only comes with a snapdragon 660 and I dont know about camera quality, also I am not sure about the memory (UFS or emmc?).
But if Xiaomi continues its bigger-screen-path, I'll have to switch brands.
I know the feeling, but I guess we'll have to get used to these new phones as it seems to be tendency for the future...
Mi8 SE has a good size... It's not that big...

@muff99 will take a look at the Meizu
@Marcb the Mi8SE is from the size great. But not from the features... (for me)
Opinion: The Mi6 was an extremely good phone
It's been a year and I've been through many phones.
I just had to say that the Mi6 was the best phone I've had in a long time. It's VERY quick - still quicker than any of my other phone - the RAM management is very good and the battery life on battery saver is excellent.
I have never gone to sleep with less than 20% data and wifi always on.
The oleophilic coating on the screen is slick and the build quality on the ceramic version it's extremely solid.
It was a beautiful phone and, had they launched with an 18:9 screen, it would have been a classic.
Just saying!
