[Q] Insufficent storage avalible after swapping internal memory - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I followed the steps on the forum to swap my internal memory with my SD card to increase space for apps. It worked great everything seemed to be working perfect at first. I had to do some house cleaning with broken links to ringtones and pictures but I somewhat expected that. The other day I was reading there was an update for Chrome Beta so when I got home I started the update. After it downloads and tries to install I get an error message that says Insufficient storage available. I have about 16gb free on my "new" internal memory. I deleted a large 2gb app and data but it still gives me the same error. I did do some looking but didn't find anything use full. Any help will be appreciated.
EDIT: It is not just Chrome Beta every app I try and update says the same thing. I also tried downloading random apps but i just finally ran in to the error after a very large app tried to install.

When I have corrupted my ext sd, you can read but not write. I found that mounting the card to a pc or mac with one of those usb/micro shuttles. Then copy everything to a enpty folder, format the sd ON YOUR PHONE. Then put all back to the empty card/shuttle.
Use this from now on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2566065
OK?

SS is safestrap recovery. Yours right? I never tested how well it works in your case. At least not v5 I did test prev versions. Follow the busybox step , reboot & flash from stock slot.

sorry I apparently don't know how to flash the v5? I don't see anything in the busybox or safestrap. I downloaded the files at the bottom of the post but don't see where they are used either.

Thanks thought I had it figured out last night using TWRP but I'll go through that post and figure it out.

I think I did it now. I had to go back and revert all my original attempts at it to get it to work. I can see the internal as the external and the SD card is mounted as internal. Haven't tried to add a bunch of apps yet to see if it gives me the same message as before. I did get all my ringtones back I lost after swamping the memory using the wrong way for my version of android.

Be sure to get twrp 2632.

LG Fathom with Android question

I know there is a thread right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1231086
However, all the links are dead, anyone bother to update it for me please?
I want to use the phone with ATT without data plan with it (GPRS, 3G, stuffs..)
So is it the Android rom is good in this case yet because it says support the GSM "partially"?
Thanks
Well i need it toooooo .. anyone listening ?
I have a Fathom that I was messing around with Android on and still had the files on my HDD. Uploaded them to 4shared:
~90MB Android 2.3.5
http://www.4shared.com/rar/-w1AtQcu/fathom.html
Wifi Files (Don't know if you need them but I'll upload anyways)
http://www.4shared.com/zip/DA3KFkfx/fathom-wifi.html
It is stuck at "Jumping to Kernel". Any help? Step-by-step instructions?
Are the files placed in a folder called "fathom" which is placed in the root of the SD card.

Sure. Do this and you will be fine.
1) Download the files. https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=5a36dd445483e8d8&resid=5A36DD445483E8D8!1568&parid=root
2)Extract the "fathom" folder inside the archive.
3)Move the extracted "fathom" FOLDER and move/copy to the ROOT of your SD card. Not the files inside the folder, and not the zip file itself either.
4)Go to your LG Fathom. Go to the "fathom" folder in the SD Card, then click on the "CLRCAD.exe" file. I heard it enables the sound, but it doesn't work for me. But just do it in case.
5)Launch the "haret" exe file. It is a longer name, but it starts with "haret".
6)Wait and enjoy.
The thing is, when I run it Android crashes and restarts every 10 seconds. Literally. Is it the hardware's fault? Anyone have better files? Or maybe an older version of Android to let it run smoother? Well I am not running it again until there is a fix. -_-

got it!! on the last link that i gave you by Georgi-geo, don't change the name of the folder to Fathom.. after you extract the zip from the link, u get a folder named 2.2 just copy 2.2 to your storage card root and run and wait for at least 15-20 seconds... and it works gud, no lags, no reboots in a loop...
Go to network settings disable Airplane mode and wait for a few seconds until it disables fully and ur gsm network shows up...
PS: better to format ur SD card before u do this

I have 3,000 mb on my storage card! What's wrong with my device? Probably because I screwed some files up by accident... And hopefully CMDA will work since I use Verizon.
Did u have any luck??? try using a lesser memory SD card (2 GB preferable) and try to format it using FAT32 before u copy 2.2 folder and try running Haret when still connected to PC via USB...
One more thing.. do u know of any good GPS software that works on GSM in Fathom? btw I am not from US

[Q] Think I formatted my internal memory to 126MB -help-

morning all
I reverted back to HC from F/Reaper using APXFlash Tool, ended up at 3.0.1
Took OTA's until I got to 3.2 when I got an error of "not enough internal memory
to install" - or something to that effect.
Strange I'm thinking - check Settings>Apps and I have 15MB free of 126MB??
wtf - 126MB you gotta be joking - Where has all my storage gone?? Device i
nformation in Settings
hows Rom Size of 32GB - I'm at a bit of a loss here -
At least with 3.1 I can root and get cwm -
any suggestions??
UPDATE 1:
did full wipe and format, check settings, no change, 126MB TOTAL
then I thought, holy s**t, have I somehow formatted this while reverting last nite??
so I chech the flash.cfg files in the tool, with an EUU I used with timmydeans zip.
they are different, I just not sure, whether that is responsible for my current issue...
so next trick is to try flashing ics again
Figure out the problem?

did a full data wipe in CWM and re-flashed ICS. Got all my memory back.
I found these instructions posted by Thor on TegraOwners. All credit goes to him.
"here's how to:
go to in recovery enter "Backup and Restore" and click on "Toggle backup and restore of internal storage (/data/media)"
should say enabled....
then go into "Mounts and Storage" and "format /data"
this will REALLY format data and you will loose all you have in the in the internal memory"

HD Unknown - 0 Kb

Dear Forum Users,
I'm a newbie to the Linux world, although I've been always keenly interested to get to know more about linux and open softwares.
I have a 500GB Hitachi HD that is not recognized by any OS I have, my last hope is Linux, I made 3 Live CD with versions of Backtrack 5, Ubuntu and Big Linux.
When I insert the HD and use GParted in all distributions it finds no hard drive connected.
If I go into the hardware settings I see my HD but it appears as if the capacity was 0 Kb but it has 500 Gb.
I'm trying trought gparted (doesn't list the drive) and fdisk (doesn't list the drive), in Windows I had tried replace the MBR info (error), EASEUS Partition Manager is the unique program that can list the drive, but show the error I/O.
When I plug in Sagemcom Device and format, then i put it back in my desktop just show me the samething.
If I flash a new firmware I can restore this HD? And if I make a ZeroFill?
Please help me out.
Sincerely,
Barros

Try using easeus data recovery wizard or just format it if your files weren't important.
EaseUS may require more space than the actual size of your files, so prepare a big hdd.
You can always recover it at any time by using the app.

format /persist /firmware HELP pls

On the latest clockworkmod recovery (6.0.4.3), under the "mounts and storage" option the are 2 new partition that can be formatted, /persist and /firmware. The problem is: I've just formatted those two partitions and now I don't have radio anymore and the boot time is significantly longer.
i also want to know the answer to that. i formatted those partitons too and i think it broke something about bluetooth. i need to re-pair bluetooth headsets every time i want to use them.

On the latest clockworkmod recovery (6.0.4.3), under the "mounts and storage" option the are 2 new partition that can be formatted, /persist and /firmware. The problem is: I've just formatted those two partitions and now I don't have radio anymore and the boot time is significantly longer.

Downgrade ze550kl

Hi guys i have ze550kl os marshmallow 6.0.1 i didn't like becuase of battery draining and can't move yo sd card ....i want you to advise me if it is better to downgrade to lollipop and how to do it step by step
Of u have crossed 10 months of usage u better install a custom rom. It is better for battery. However i recommend not use lineage os as it is too battery draining. I prefer oct os

By the way if u still want to downgrade........download the rom from asus website apprx 600mb put it on sd card power off your phone
(please be sure that all your apps and data will be lost make a cloud backup and install es file explorer... Then go to top right corner of first page and backup all apps on sd card..no data will be saved only apps and contacts that you saved on google account..u may have noticed it while saving a contact)
Now press power and volume down button together and hold it for a few seconds
Recovery mode opens....[use volume buttons to scroll power to select]
Select apply update from sd card and then select your from on sd card which you downloaded ...0ray too god...breathe in breathe out....continue tapping on blank areas so as to keep screen awake...... please keep screen awake

Please give me a thanks-??????
I read in some websites that i can't downgrade without pc and adb because of number of rom fewer than the number exists
If u wanna do with adb take you windows and install adb drivers ...go to about and constantly tap build number to enable dev option go back u will see a new menu as dev option go to it and enable usb debugging go to the recovery and find apply update via adb select it and connect via usb to windows then again take windows go yo c:-adb
Press shift plus right click and select open cmd here type
Adb device
It will show your device serial number if properly connected
Type adb sideload u.zip
Where u.zip is your firmware zip file stored in adb folder itself...
You better use twrp.....normal asus is of no use and will still be battery draining
Get los or octOs and apply it u will find how to do it on web
