[Q] S4 4.1 Rom Required (Need BlueZ not BlueDroid) - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Hoping to pull on some knowledge if I can.
I have an S4 and need to find a JB 4.1 rom or earlier (ICS or similar). I have struggled to find one - does any one know where I can get a stock or other ROM. any is fine as long as it is 4.1 or earlier.
WHY?:
- My car Bluetooth system does not work with BlueDroid Bluetooth stack modification that was introduced in 4.2 and newer. 4.1 and before used BlueZ Bluetooth stack and worked great. Sadly BlueDroid is not backward compatible with some devices that worked on Bluedroid.
I have searched and searched with no joy on finding a 4.1 or earlier ROM. I have also tried suggested solutions on forums such as keep device Bluetooth visible and use app "Bluetooth auto connect".
I hope someone can share a link with me for a suitable ROM or perhaps show me a way of reverting from the new BlueDroid to the older BlueZ stack in a newer ROM.
if all else fails I guess I have to get rid of the phone and downgrade to an S3 that I know has widely available 4.1 ROM's.
Thank you in advance.

No 4.1 on s4. Its only 4.2 and up
Me Gusta!

Yup that's what I thought thank you for confirming.
Any chance of any ROM with blues as well as bludroid in it?

[Q] flash on webpages with android 4.1?

Is there any way to work flash player with 4.1?on defy
don't really know if there is a way to workaround. my dolphin browser used to work even without flash installed on ics.
"Flash Player would not be supported on Android 4.1 and users should uninstall Flash Player prior to upgrading to Android 4.1, Jelly Bean."
http://blogs.adobe.com/flashplayer/2012/06/flash-player-and-android-update.html
I have been trying to install Flash player for a few days on my Defy running CM10 4.1.2 (2/11 version) but have so far been unsuccessful.
I have followed guides hereon XDA, used the supplied links but to no avail.
I installed flash on my wifes Galaxy Tab 2 the other day and it works perfectly, if a little laggy but basically it works, the Tab is on ICS which also had flash support removed afaik. And the guides out there have Flash running on other 4.1 devices so I see no reason why it shouldn't work on ours
Has anyone managed to get Flash working on their Defy running 4.1?
If so do you have a guide to installing it?

has the leaked 4.3 rom got Bluetooth 4.0 LE support?

has the leaked 4.3 rom got Bluetooth 4.0 LE support?
Or is it the same as in 4.2.2 which the Bluetooth is basically broken for in car hands free.

I'm wondering the same thing... my fitbit doesn't work with Cyanogen
I'm wondering about this too.
I've tried two very recent Google Play ROMs on my i9505 and fitbit won't work with either.
I'm back to de-bloated stock and it works perfectly.

I tried 4.3 rom, still didn't work. I guess fitbit devs have to set it up in the app? I'm in bonestock rom and it works amazingly well.

Defy+ Noob updating Rom

Hi Guys
After getting fed up with stock gingerbread , I looked into custom ROMS and have spent hours trawlling through posts ,guides and forums
Im trying to load a stable Rom to my Defy + which supports BT handset .( I drive a lot in UK) I found that the most up to date ROM , that supports BT handset is CM 9 , Android 4.0 ICS . I was pleased with this ROM, until I found that Google Play and Home button does not work correctly , maybe a different rom was needed
Perhaps I have a wrong/old GAPPS installed (GAPPS 4.1.1) ?
I would like to hear from anyone who has a similar experience , who found a more up to date rom/stable which supports BT HANDSET, while being more snappier than Gingerbread
Phone is rooted , running on T Mobile in UK
Defy+ MB525
Android 4.0.4 CM9 Mod
GAPPS 4.1.1 2012-07-26
ICS recover 5.7.0

want smartwatch, but only compatible with android 4.3

really want a cogito original but those are only compatible with android 4.3+
But my phone is 4.1.2 and has Bluetooth 4.0, doesnt seem to be "LE" either.
If I force install an .apk will this watch work with my older OS and lack of BT LE? What is it about 4.3 that makes this watch only compatible with that OS? Im sort of crossing my fingers that they may have just missed testing on older devices and dont want to claim compatibility.

[Q] What is params.bin and can it mess up my phone or can it fix my bluetooth?

Hey guys,
I'm currently using OzcanRom and it's just great - strongly recommended!
My only issue is exactly the same issue as described in this post:
I'm facing a very strange problem as i'm unable to switch on my bluetooth... last week only i rooted my phone and installed CWM recovery...then i installed Custom Rom's like Hassan ROM, Omega ROM, Cyanogenmod 11 Rom, Pacman ROM etc etc just to check various Rom's and their features out.....At first i installed only one ROM at a time and den also dual booted two ROM's by romswitcher...While i was checking my phone once i discovered that my phone's Bluetooth is not turning ON...The toggle is only becoming light green and also from the settings its only showing turning Bluetooth On but it's unable to turn bluetooth On.....Now i googled my problem and read across various forums for solution...I tried various things also flashed my firmware to stock samsung but still bluetooth does not turn On...also i flashed with stock samsung firmware of feb and march 2014 and updated my phone over OTA but still the problem persists....i even installed latest perseus kernel while rooted but still could not turn my bluetooth ON.
I would be very grateful if someone can help me solve my problem and help me Switch ON my bluetooth as it is very needed aspect for my daily use.
My Version of S4 is i9500 with android kitkat 4.4.2. Also all my other features are working normally on custom ROM's too.

I too installed this Omega rom at some point and once I did that these problems started.
A user in that thread posted a reply in which he uploaded a file which he claims fixed his problem.
I really need my bluetooth to work again and would love to flash this file using Odin if it would fix the problem
BUT
I have no clue what implications flashing this file can have, can it mess other things up? I've spent the last four hours setting things up again in my new ROM and I would hate to have to do it again or even worse, cause some unsolvable problem with my phone.
I assume some of the developers here could help me out - should I run it?
Thanks!
