[Q] Hard bricked Nexus 7 32G 3g - cannot access adb, fastboot, only APX , please help - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
yesterday a tried to flash custom recovery to my n7(2012) like i used to in the past.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recoveryCWM.img
flashing
success
fastboot reboot
And after it n7 was not able to boot, appears google logo a than starts to loading clockwork mod recovery and reboots.
I cant turn it off. Only if i hold volume up button it switches to APX mode.
So i installed APX drivers, downloaded nvflash and wheelie but i have no idea how to get blob.img file because im not able to connect via fastboot
Please could you anyone give me an advice.
Bootloader is unlocked so my warranty is gone i guess.
I will so much thanks full for any advice.
Thanks

If you can boot into bootloader, than flash a new recovery (stock, twrp) with fastboot.
If you can't, then send it to Asus, they are the only ones who can repair it.
( There is a tool called Flatline. It is nvflash for N7. The only problem is you need a backup of your device, since you can't use someone else's backup)

ATT D800 Fastboot Loop No Recovery No Download Mode

Hello All,
I've been searching for hours. I had rooted my LG G2 weeks ago with no problems. I then un-rooted it and I thought reset it to factory. Today in Target I pulled it out of my pocket to make a call and it was black screened to Fastboot.
I have tried holding down Volume - and Power and entering recovery to reset to factory but it immediately goes to Fastboot loop.
I have tried holding down Volume + while plugging in USB for Download Mode but it immediately goes to Fastboot loop.
I have tried adb commands, error: device not found.
I have tried manually updating the Android drivers through Computer Management and selecting many of the Android Platform Sooner versions. My Win7 PC recognizes the phone as ADB Interface > Andriod Sooner Single ADB Interface in Device Manager.
I have tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595 and flashed both laf.img and I cannot get into Download Mode.
What else can I do? Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks for your time!
hey same exact thing just happened to me. i had it rooted from earlier, but ended up keeping the stock rom on my AT&T LG G2 D800. What I think happened was ATT just pushed out an OTA update (not sure about other carriers), supposedly some small 15mb update to prepare for upcoming releases and despite declining the install, the phone of course did it anyways.
No recovery, no download mode, factory reset doesn't do anything.
Thanks AT&T! :good:
Are we completely boned here?
This worked for me
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
Follow this thread, I tried the TWRP terminal code and it worked. Let me know how it goes
Did anyone figure this out? I am stuck in fastboot mode. I can run fastboot commands, but thats about it.
I can't get to ADB, I can't get to recovery, I can't get to download mode. I reboot the phone and it goes immediately back to fastboot.
I've tried flashing recovery, the laf.img, and even rom's inside fastboot and nothing is seeming to work.

If you can't get adb access with either single sooner or pdanet drivers, you may have to resort to this..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
(actually kind of sounds like fun to me)
if you're stuck in fastboot mode then you can simply use the fastboot commands to write the aboot, sbl1, boot, recovery, laf, rpm, tz and dbi partitions.
you can substitute stock recovery.img for a properly patched twrp/cwm img (renamed recovery). from there you should be able to boot into download mode... custom recovery.. or boot back up.

I found a site that had the backed up D800 .img files. I had to use Ubuntu to write them back to my device.. after like 15hrs of googling/writing on forums, I finally got my device to boot back up! lol..
of course there was a popup saying that my device was suspected of rooting and it won't update.. but who cares, it works now!
im onthe verizon variant and stuff like this just annoys me to no end you say no lg pushes it to your device anyway its wrong not even samsung stoops this low i am glad i have a custom rom

[Help] I cannot get my zenfone 2 into recovery mode.

I've tried everything I could find with a google search but I haven't found anybody with a similar problem. I cannot boot into recovery mode as every time I select recovery mode I get sent back to the fastboot screen. I can use normal boot and my phone starts up fine but choosing recovery mode just brings me through an endless loop of going to the fastboot screen. Anybody know a way around this?

It usually occurs simply because it cannot boot into recovery. This may be due to accidentally wiping the recovery partition, thus having no recovery to boot to at all, or that you flashed an incompatible recovery onto your device.
Fret not, just a few simple commands should get your phone back alive and kicking.
First, download the recovery.img (ZE550KL) at https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6QXDUz9wzc9bUZaOHJsTzBhcVk
Then, boot your device into recovery mode.
Once done, type the command, in order,
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
Do take note that you would need to have ADB tools installed, a reliable connection to your computer, ASUS drivers in order for your device to be detected, and some knowledge on where to place the recovery.img in order for the commands above to work. If you need any help, please feel free to ask. Also, since you did not state the variant of your device, I had put the ZE550KL recovery.img instead. If your device is of another variant, please inform me immediately and I will get the recovery.img up for you.

Thanks so much, this worked. I have a ze551ML but I had a stock recovery already on my drive. I've been trying to install the twrp recovery for the last two days but have been completely unable. Although the "fastboot oem reboot-recovery" failed as adb didn't recognize the OEM remote. Any idea why the most up to date twrp recovery has not worked in the least?

You need to unlock the bootloader first. There are plenty of guides online about how to do this, unofficial and officially. Also, there's a dedicated forum for your device variant, named "ASUS ZenFone 2"
This forum here is for the Laser variants.

ZE500KL Can't access fastboot or recovery mode PLEASE HELP, URGENT

Please help, I need proffessional help.
Android Phone: ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser 5.0 (ROOTED)
Android Firmware: 5.0.2 Lollipop
Aim: To enter into Fastboot mode and Recovery Mode without problems
Situation: Recently installed TWRP Recovery in-app and through software, but when I try to enter in Fastboot Mode (HOLD POWER & VOLUMEUP) or even Recovery Mode (HOLD POWER & VOLUMEDOWN), I just end up in a hanged out ASUS Logo. I can't do anything except pulling out the battery myself and putting it back then booting the device through power button to boot it normally. I don't know if it's the problem with the model, or the phone's system itself, or it's just a bug, or a problem when I rooted my device through ADB.
(Note: When I rooted the device, I wasn't even able to see the blue "FASTBOOT MODE" when I tried it, I only saw the ASUS logo as well.)
For anyone who has any idea on what's going on with my device, please reply and help me. I really want to have the benefits of a rooted phone completly and I'm a new root user so I need assistance.
For anyone who has an idea on what I've done or on what should I do, please help me. Someone told me that I flashed the recovery and locked the bootloader, so it got damaged. If so, would Unlocking the Bootloader (from Wiki.CyanogenMod's Site) help my case?

I think I have "access" to TWRP recovery. However, I can only access it through booting it up from ADB. I used the command "adb reboot bootloader" to boot it to fastboot mode, however only the ASUS screen appears but I treated it as the fastboot mode itself. Then I checked if it was really on fastboot mode through "fastboot devices" and it showed my serial number. I can only enter into TWRP using "fastboot boot twrp.img" . I don't know if I already installed it because although I opened it, I can't do it from the phone (POWER+VOLUMEDOWN)
Ok now boot twrp and then flashamodified zip or cm13 and your phone should eork you dhould to have unlockrd bootloader
Hi to all, i'd re-open this 3d for the same problem. After months I'm trying to re-sleep my ZE500KL. It was in "can't load invalid boot image" loop. I tried to force recovery mode and (wrongly) force to update from update.zip the stock fw stored in the uSD.
Since this time I can't enter in recovery mode more but fastboot only. The problem is that, in spite of the USB drivers are installed, fastboot does not recognize any connected device.
I've run Win 10 pro with a zenbook ux333fn laptop and I remembered android 6 on the phone, the last time I saw it alive.
I've tried also to install twrp 3.1, with no positive results.
Anyone can suggest me any solving way?
Thanks to all

QFIL or AFT can be the solution.
I have a similar problem, a hard bricked Z00ED (ZE500KL) not able to get into fastboot or recovery.
after reading some thread here an there. that are Processor / Chipset specific flash tools that help flash bootloaders and repartition hard bricked device.
For mobiles with MediaTec devices, there is a tool called SP Flash Tool. I wasted a whole day with it. then understood that Z00ED (ZE500KL) has a Qualcomm Processor MSM8916
Therefore we need a Qualcomm Flasher here (QFIL )
But nos I am stuck with getting firmware for ZE500KL that can be used by QFIL tool, It should have a firehouse*.mbr file that is the programmer (dependent on CPU of the phone) and a rawprogram*.hex file that I don't know where to get from.
Thanks... It seems a bit less wild, but in any case no solving, yet

needing help with huawei Y3 II LUA-L03 (softbricked/bootloop)

hi everyone.
a friend of mine was trying to root his huawei but now it cant boot anymore.
he followed a wrong guide for the Y5 II and flashed a custom recovery (bootloader unlocked) TWRP.
now the phone its on bootloop with the stock OS. i think that its due to the wrong recovery flashed on the partition.
so im requesting help for this phone.
is there a solution for this?
can anyone bring me the stock firmware for this model?
i need it as update.app to extract the stock recovery, not as ota update (dload/update.zip) cuz i need to flash it using fastboot. the phone just can use fastboot cuz recovery partition is corrupted and normal boot doesnt work (bootloop).
plz someone can help me?
i already googled long for a solution but i can figure out how to make it work.
the phone comes with android 5.1 lollipop and is from chile.
pd: the phone can only enter fastboot by pressing vol+ and power. if i try to turn it on normally it bootloops. when on fastboot menu, if i select recovery, it bootloops. if i select fastboot, it works using adb from pc (i mean, i can download data to it, it doesnt boot via fastboot option).
if i just had the original recovery.img maybe i can flash it and make it boot normally again.

I don't know much about Huawei, but if firmware is available you should be able to flash back to stock. Personally, I would try to find the right TWRP and flash it...then it will boot and you can root of you still desire.
I'm not sure if this is the right one, but if bootloader is unlocked it won't hurt to try. https://twrp.me/devices/huaweiy300.html

PSA: Ticwatch E&S factory reset

This is just a friendly notice for Ticwatch E&S users. If you do anything that resets the watch back to default, it seems the device needs to boot to the stock recovery before it will boot back into the system. The only way to do this after flashing TWRP is to reboot to the bootloader and and run 'fastboot boot StockRecovery_TicwatchE.img' with the image file from the root thread by @EpicLPer. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal but this could be an issue if you do this away from a PC where you can run fastboot.
This is also a big problem if you screw up and flash a broken TWRP and can't reboot into the bootloader. I was working on a recovery procedure for this but screwed the pooch on that too so I'm going to see if I can RMA the dead watch.

You can flash the stock recovery and all other stuff via the Flash Tool. You don't have to RMA a dead flashed watch, you can recover 99% of all the bricks you do via that. But you'll have to ask @Luxios for that as I don't know how to correctly use it
He's also trying to make a hacked bootloader which allows you to boot into recovery and fastboot directly from the watch without ADB.

Flash Tool is a mighty powerful tool, alright. I couldn't find a good scatter file so in a caffeine deprived state I tried to cobble one together. I may have damaged the preloader. It does show up in device manager but it is different that the VCOM preloader device that was showing. Now it totally crashes Flash Tool too. I'm still working on it but since I have a second watch now, I might just RMA this one and start over.
Again, if anyone has a good scatter file please post it. I found one after the fact but I get errors and it's for another MT2601 device, not the Ticwatch.
The good news is I found if you power down the watch and hold the power button on boot you'll get a long vibrate. If you release the button and hit it 3 or 4 times during the vibrate you'll be in the bootloader.
Anyone have stock or even custom working system.img and boot.img?
great
thank you very much man, i was blocked in twrp recovery after a factory reset, and now i should have installed stock recovery, thanks to your post .
