Hello to all!
I just flashed Hyperion 8 GM, it went smoothly and everything looks so nice. Congrats to the developers, you did a fine job! I do have a problem, though: the camera does not work. In the original camera app I get the ErrorHandle message, and 3rd party apps just don't see the camera or cannot connect to it. I need help, please!
I am considering flashing Hyperion again, do you think it's a good idea? Or, if a kernel change is required (I have now the one which came with Hyperion), can you please guide me through the steps? Thank you very much!

I thinK it may be Cam Drivers Problem .
Reinstall Camera App nd drivers Or LiBs.
In Dialler Type This *#0*# nd select there Camera . If that works then its not a Driver Prob . Its a App Problem.

Thanks for the reply! I tried what you suggested, but I just got the message "Warning: Camera failed" and it sent me to the home screen. How can I reinstall just the camera app?

Reinstalling camera app doesn't make it work.
This seems to be a driver problem.
Reflash the kernel and if possible, reinstall the rom also and check again if it works.
Follow the procedure and install.
It works for everyone and so it must work fo you too

I have reflashed Hyperion, but the problem is still there. How can I make it work?
1st of all flash the stock rom via odin n notice whether your camera works or not.....then flash the Hyp8..

pls pls help. tried flashing my sgs and upgrade an camera from sgs tool and now cant get it to work. i want to use vignette app but its telling me that my camera dirver is not working and when a open the default camera on my sgs its working but no video. is there a fix to this issue? or i need to flash it again?
As far as i know, no one has been able to revert a camera firmware flash until now. Only option is to bring it to a Samsung repair centre.
I've got same problem here.
Stock camera working but not camcorder. It worked untill yesterday.
Yesterday I've installed darky 9.2 again because some launchers messed up my icons and now I have camera issue.
There isn't a fix for this one? How did it happen?
edit: I've managed to get camcorder working by restoring camera from SHS toolbox.
But still any other camera app is not working (FxCamre, Retro Camera) it gives me error that FxCamera has stopped unexpectedly or Unable to setup your Camera (retro Camera).
Flash it with stock Samsung rom and then install whcihever app you like.

I don't think that's true - its all drivers which come with software - reflashing with stock ROM should do the trick.

I had an issue with the camera when i flashed a wrong kernel (Darky's ROM 9.3b with YA-OK kernel). I reflashed with Speed Mod kernel and everything was back to normal.
Is there a fix for this? I had found one fix but it doesn't work... still not detecting..
Which version did you install?
For me its working fine on the latest version.

The darkside rom has nothing to do with it, your scanner might be on the fritz !
When you installed the rom, did you use moto-fastboot to erase everything so you get a nice clean install?
Also, sometimes the scanner acts up, try rebooting and "GO DIRECTLY" into settings and try setting up the scanner that way.

I updated to the newest one.. it was working perfectly fine right before that.. yeah i did a clean install..
so I did what the second guy said but i also installed this fingerprint fix i found on the site... i did them both at the same time.. but it worked!!
ALTHOUGH the fix didnt work earlier... so could be going to the settings directly

Did you try rebooting? Try system apps installer from playstore

Hi Guys, I have serched the forums for my specific problem but came up short... trying this for seconds...
I have a HD2 wich I've installed NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.6 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r3.4)
I have followed every step and everything works fine, EXCEPT the camera.
The camera app never fully loads and just stops responding with the screen going black as the only result.
"camera not responding, do you want to shut down? cancel or yes"
any tips?
I'm new to this forum so Im not sure what other info I should provide, so here goes.
Version 4.0.4
BaseBand 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14
Kernel 2.6.32-ICS_tytung_HWA_r3.4
Mem 420Mb
(The camea works just fine with WP7, WP7.5, Windows Mobile orig)

easiest wat out of problem is to instal different camera app,try cameraZOOM works fine on my hd2 running on same rom but 2.4
or reinstall rom again.
this should realy be posted in the correct thread,you would probably get more accurate
answers from folk running the same rom.

Ok, I'll try the app approach... I'll reinstalled the orig ROM oand camera works, I installed a GB ROM and the camera works. I REINSTALLED this ROM and camera works up untill the point of where i actually take a pic - then the camera app shuts down... video seems to work..
I cannot post in the ROM thread - because of forum rules...

No doesn't really matter what cameraapp I install, the camera shuts down right after shutter (when the pic is written to storage)
with the message "sorry the camera app had to shut down"
Seem to be the GB approach I'll have to go with...

So I went and tried this ROM:
PARANOIDANDROID HD2 v1.5b [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9][A2SD][tytung_HWA_r3.2]
And everything works... how weird - because it seems to be the same kernel?? apart from HWA_r3.2 in this ROM and 3.4 in the ROM that doesn't work... for me it's a headscratcher - I mean I really want the "NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.6 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r3.4)" but maybe with the 3.2 kernel instead...
how to go about and get that one??

I kinda realized that it's not neccesarily the ROM but mor with the Kernel.. I'm trying som different ROMs and different kernels, and the result varies...
Kernel: 2.6.32-ics_tytung_HWA_r3.2
ROM: LeoKing 2.3.6
Camera works but batterydrain is a *****... and endomondo stops working...
will try the PARANOIDANDROID HD2 v1.5b [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9][A2SD][tytung_HWA_r3.2] but flash a different kernel instead of the tytung one!!
I do realize that the phone will never work as good as with a winmobile original RUU.

What I mean is that I have got the NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.6 working - don't know what I did different to maki the camera work, but it did... so I'm laughing.. But now I'm worried that I'll screw it up by installing a v2.7 ontop.. or wiping and installing...

Unfortunately, it seems the camera app is missing. I have done a full wipe before flashing the rom. Anyone has some idea?
