[OTA]JB->KitKat - All OTA zip files in one place - Moto G General

All known OTA zip files to update shipped Android 4.3 JB to 4.4.2 KK. These have been pulled from devices before someone hit the 'update' button. Credit goes to all those who manged to resist the temptation and upload these on to file-sharing sites for the benefit of all.

Rename to Blur_Version.174.44.9.falcon_umts.Retail.en.GB.zip before applying.
Please post links to other versions/mirrors if you have them!
You can update your Android 4.3 version of these firmwares in one of 2 ways.
Copy the downloaded .zip file to /sdcard, this is the root folder when connected to a PC. Reboot and you will get an update prompt. N.B. Custom recoveries are NOT supported for this OTA method, stock recovery only.
Reboot into recovery, select "apply update from ADB", connect to PC, use 'adb sideload <filename>.zip' to apply the OTA.
If you are rooted or have a flashed a custom kernel the OTA may not work, flash a stock ROM and try again!

There's already was a thread with all OTA`s bro posted bro, European ones that is.

I just tried sideloading this with adb on my Koodo/Telus phone and I received the following error:
Code:
This package is for "falcon_umts" devices; this is a "xt1032".
E: Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Edit: should have said that I'm rooted and using CWM 6.0.4.5

An OTA is not full ROM, it has to check that system files have not been modified before it can patch them.

[tutorial] how to root and add recovery new method

Due to loads of questions how to upgrade to the latest firmware and keep root and place recovery
First step
Find your 10.3.A.0.423 ROM and download it
Belgium
France
Germany
Greece
Greece unbranded
Hongkong
Spain
Taiwan
Ukraine
Use this tutorial to flash the ROM into your Phone.
Be sure you download these versions below and nothing else to get a quick rooted and recovered Phone
[XZDualRecovery][v2.5 RELEASE]
[Z][ROOT] DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit (v15) {perf_event exploit}[20130624]
If you have flashed your Phone with the latest ROM, and you lost Root on the Phone, first use the toolkit from Doomlord This will install SuperSU on your Phone.
Just let the program do its job.
If you wanna add recovery mode on your Phone, use [XZDualRecovery][v2.5 RELEASE] cwm 6.0.3.2 & twrp 2.5.0.0 [locked bootloader] from [NUT]
In his map you see two files : Superuser and SuperSU, use the SuperSU to let the tool create the recovery on your cellphone.
I want to thank both develepors for making these tools and making rooting and recovery so easy
For me this method doesn't work, I'm on the Generic NL but when I install recovery it only works at first boot (It goes to CWM). Then I reboot the phone to system (as pointed out in the installation instructions).
But from here it seems recovery is disabled...I can push volume up or down but it won't go into any recovery anymore.... Only way to get it working again is by installing it over and over...but I never get a second boot in recovery. Any ideas?

Make sure that you're installing the 2.5 beta version.
If you already did, there was a problem that has recently been fixed by [NUT], so download the fixed version and try again.

file name including 161.44.25 references the build your phone must be on to accept the update, not the version of the update itself. That is how Moto has done it for some time now.

Just flashed my XT1053 in stock recovery after disabling Xposed, installing stock recovery and making sure I unfroze Chrome/Play Music with Titanium. Taking a while after boot to Optimize the apps but it did the same thing last night when I switched to ART.

I am still stock recovery, but I believe TWRP has added adb sideload support too. I did it using the commandline interface, I've never used moto x toolkit.
I hope it isnt too much to ask but i'd really appriciate it if someone made a TWRP/CWM backup of the system and boot for me? Thanks...

Thank you, downloading now. Can someone recommend a good guide to update my XT1064? I have 5.02 on it, rooted and unlocked.
I'm a noob, and have been spoiled by Wugs toolkit for my Nexus 7 2013.

stock recoveries do not allow these sort of updates as they try and protect your device. to do this you need to install a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP. you can download everything you need through the google play store

Flash this file "RETUAWS_XT1064_5.0.2_LXB22.99-24.4_cid9_CFC.xml" following this guide but after "mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3" add this comand "mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4" this is VERY IMPORTANT, if you don't add this comand you can't install any OTA, it will give you error.
After that you are going to recive the OTA alert 22.46.12 and then you will be able to receive or intall the 6.0 OTA.
I have just made it and I recive the 6.0 OTA automatically.
For Marshmallow 6.0 Root use this guide other Root methods cause bootloop in official Marshmallow 6.0.

If it was possible you wouldn't see this many people asking for help and posting tutorials.

Not sure you're making sense here. If you're not supposed to flash this on your US version xt1064 with a custom recovery then what is this??
