why not deodexed ? any benefit without deodexed?

Dude, odexed rom have better Speed than deodexed ,so aps loads faster and also device bootup time decreases! Deodexing is only usefull for theming and editing System ui /Framework ,actually odexed roms are bettee than deodexed rom ,thats why its not deodexes so u will get good app boost .Thats why Compinees Give odexed stock rom , Deodex rom is only benificial for devs for theming etc but it gives less compiling speed than odexed ! normal users wont have to do anyhing with deodex roms ! So its good having odexed rom ,it give ypu performane!

Hi SDShukla,
Thanks for the ROM. I have a few questions, though
> How did you port the Q900 stock ROM to Q700?
> Was Dual 3G is supported on both SIMS in Q900 stock or you did a few tweaks to enable it?
> Will it work for Q700i?
> What about OTG? Is this enable in the port?
Thanks,
Manas

otg does not work for me, also wireless display doesnt..
apart from that rom is awesome
dual 3g works too..
and yes this rom will work on q700i

LOST Q700
I lost my q700 and it seems with the sims removed none of the security softwares work.I had installed two more other than Xolo secure.
I was running q700i on that. So my question is should I buy Q900 or some other sub 10000 ph.
Make some suggestions please.Only problem I faced in q700 after I ported is internal memory.I installed about 280 apps inclusive of rooted and rom apps and some big games. The install memory was quite less.I had to delete all and restore through Titanium to have some space.

Manas,For xolo Q900 is also Mt6589 device hence its rom ported. Second xolo Q900 have dual 3G , hence its ported rom have too that feature but i didnot confirm becoz only one user reported it , But it all depends on the hardware of second sim slot .i didnot use 3G or have 3G in my both sims hence you can check it then i will remove it from discription. And Yes that rom is for Both Q700 and Q700i device . But Xolo Q900 device didnot support OTG hence its stock rom too dont support it ,For enbling OTG we need complete Kernel Sources which is not released by MTK .

[4.2.2 ROM][PORT]AndromadusMod for U8800-51 V2 .35 kernel

I'm very happy to present my port to our phone, a cm10.1 for the -51, ported from Desire S. This is a "new" release, don't expect a perfect rom with all working!.
What IS Andromadus?
Initially it was a group of people who got together to make ICS work on the HTC Desire Z because nobody else seemed to want to support devices with physical hardware keyboards/trackpads. Whilst the idea stays the same It has grown slightly to support some other hardware and some of the work we have done is now used in many other devices. Andromadus builds of CM10 or CM10.1 are basically CM sources with a few additional tweaks or additions to support our phones.
1. New versions will be added as and when I feel there are enough changes to warrant one, don’t ask when the next version is coming.
2. If we decide to release a "Stable" version of these roms they will be published in another Andromadus thread.
Direct all your queries with release versions to that thread and in the same vain do not discuss these releases anywhere but here.
3. I will do as best I can to answer questions but if you don't get an answer from me I'm sure somebody else will be along to help. Help each other and I have more time to spend fixing things!
4. Don't ask for what's changed since the previous version, have a look at the recent submits on the Andromadus github if you want to know or wait for the mini changelogs when I post a new release.
5. If there is something in particular to test it'll be mentioned!
6. As always if you didn't wipe between installations then at least verify that the problem exists on a clean install before posting here. Nandroid/superwipe/install/check at the end of the day you can always restore your nandroid if the problem is reproducible on a clean installation. If you can't be bothered to try this then I really can't be bothered to try to help you :>
7. All that said ensure you make a nandroid/backup before hand. I take no responsibility for what you do to your phone with these ROM.
8. Whilst I can't stop you I would rather these builds were not used as a base for any ROM/MOD/ETC. The source is all available if you want to do your own builds with which you can do whatever you like.
9. Tell us what works/what's worse/what's better but don't ***** when something breaks or isn't fixed yet, report it and move on.
10. Sometimes people forget that we do this for fun, for ourselves, and sometimes your super important issue is way down on our personal list of things to be fixed.

This is great news for -51 users.Ima say thanks too
just a qwestion. How did you port the GB kernel to work on 4.2.2? I wanna learn it too. like how to make GB kernel work on JB or so. So that for KLP or so we wont have to depend on shendu to port a kernel and i can make a full rom port from Incredibe S. So Yeah. thanks again awesome Job.
Sigh. Symlinks. Its a bad update binary. How did you install it? GB -> what?
Sent from my u8800-51.
Awesome now -51 can have 4.2.2 too and it looks promising! One thing, just like rittik asked how did you get .35 kernel to work on 4.2.2? It can be really useful because .32 and .35 kernels give the best performance and in my opinion better than 3.0.8

Wow, this is a great time for - 51 users, thank you!
Maybe this is stupid but never tried ICS based rom's (except Aurora) because I don't understand what unlock pink screen means and was afraid of not being able to return to ginger from a Roadkil's Disk Image backup. My point is, after flashing AndromadusMod, is it possible going back to ginger/froyo by restoring a Roadkil image? Or at least could you explain what to do if something goes wrong?
Ps. Sorry for my noobyness

Xperia Google Play 4.3 ROM - Need 3 Testers and a few helpers

Hi,
So yeah a new Android Developer on the block . Im looking to port Sense 5 from the HTC Droid DNA and Optimus UI from the Optimus G. But for now im just trying a start up project just to get the hang of things... So yeah I ported 4.3 from the HTC One & Galaxy S4. But I also used CyanogenMod 10.1.0 tweaks because I find AOSP with no tweaks unbelievably BORING.
I just need a few testers as Im happy leaving my Xperia Z on stock 4.1.2 at the minute, (Hey! I just got it ok). So I dont know how we flash ROMS on the XZ. Do we flash boot.img's like the HTCs? (You can guess im an ex HTC user).
I need 3 people just to PM me for the link of the ROM. JUST THREE! So when I close this thread that means I have my three so PLEASE DO NOT ASK! Just wait for release.
I need the test users just to try 2 versions. 1 CM embedded and one without CM. I doubt the CyanogenMod one will work buuuuuut its worth a shot.
I need someone who has 1-2hrs free and willing to flash a few ROMS that may/may not delete all data. Tester must also provide gmail ID for Hangouts
Thanks all.

I'd just like to say that flashing a new .ftf on an Xperia Z is as simple as downloading the firmware, downloading a piece of software called "flashtool", placing the firm ware in the firmware folder in flashtool, and running flashtool.
Here's the guide for flashing a new firmware.
Here's a generic Spanish 4.2.2 .ftf, the one I used, if you want it.

Main thing to know about XZ is it has no recovery partition, the workaround is to put that in the boot partition, so to install CWM we do flash boot.img, but it isn't locked after boot like most HTC devices has been. You do need to unlock the bootloader through Sony if you wanna run unsigned kernels though.
Oh, and XZ uses fastboot for flashing if you don't have a recovery installed.
I can help/test, but I'll be away this weekend

LOL. People that can't be bothered to read the whole OP and see that you asked for Gmail IDs should be automatically excluded from testing anything.
If they can't do that, how likely is it that they will test anything properly?
Just FYI, this is not me putting myself forward to test. My bootloader is staying locked for now.

Because Slim is an AOSP base, you need a base ROM that is also AOSP. Since your Xyrus ROM is not AOSP (skinned or something) then it will have framework and ramdisk/kernel changes that render it incompatible with Slim
Your base ROM needs to be AOSP: an indication would be its file size, similar to Slim not 300+mb

You have a device tree or AOSP based rom? If not you'll have to make them yourself unfortunately
Hey. I found a device tree for xolo play, it's Cyanogenmod and has been abandoned by the creator.
You can download it from there and use it as a base. I'll post the link below
Github . com/ ankur850/android_device_xolo_play
You'll have to yourself figure it out how to work around because I have no experience building roms.
As I too want a port rom for my Xolo Play and I found none so good till now, and then I saw your post which made me wanna help you
I'll be waiting for your rom though would be glad to test it on my Play
A Potato told me to write this stuff.

I don't know if this will help you, but here you go:
https://github.com/deepaktom/android_device_xolo_us9230e1
Alternatively there's another one:
https://github.com/mamutos/android_device_yusun_us9230
I thought these were CyanogenMod ports for My Phone, And so did I search a bit.

These both trees are not available, there is a CyanogenMod tree made by @andynoob but its not complete still, we are working day and night on it to get the CyanogenMod 11 to get going.

[Port] Miui v5 / v6 N910

Hello all
I am planing on porting over the MIUI to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (snap dragron ), but I have a few questions.
what is a good base to port MIUI?
-CM12.1 / CM12 / CM11
-Does my bootloader have to be 4.x or can it be 5.x (Currently on lollipop).
-Is there a MIUI rom that will make the port simpler?
-Is there any tutorial that I should read in order to get the ball rolling ?
My 1st goal.
-get it to the splash screen (dont mind the bootloop).
here you can find some usefull guide

thank you.

I'm not 100% sure but I think cm base is easier to port than touchwiz because of the touchwiz framework and stuff but I have no experience doing that stuff lol I've seen MIUI be ported to HTC sense base before but I don't know about touchwiz. Anyway, I really look forward to the finished rom I really miss MIUI and good luck!
I notice that theres no snapdragon 805 rom of miui.
i dont have the skills to build it from scratch. ....
major road block, feeling like crap without even starting.
It sucks to be a noob.

I9502 Help for roms?

Hi there is there anyone who can guide me on installing a custom rom for the i9502? I have tried flashing a i9500 Resurrection remix and it works... but the sounds dont work at all which is very major thing and weird. Have tried with other types of ones like gear cm and still the sound doesn't work. I Hate the touchwiz as it drains battery on the i9502 and i honestly wish i can flash the i9500 roms with out any major bugs. If theirs anyone there who has experience with this it would be massively appreciated!
Hi,
That's because i9502 uses different sound driver.
There's a Chinese developer who is trying to port GearCM to i9502, but I don't know how it goes.
For now, you could stick on Sasiskas ROM.

Is there any other roms besides saskias rom? because i want more off a cyanogen mod rom not a customized touchwiz

MIUI suggestion
Helo,
You can try MIUI rom. It is "unofficially" ported for almost all Samsung devices, not to mention any chinese phone like Gionee ( or Allview in Romania ... yes I know )
The only disappointing thing is that the dual sim feature is not supported.
Also, you would have to install special gapps for miui (the official one does not work as it gives false insufficient free space warinigs).
You can find the rom here.
You will need this cwm recovery.
May work with TWRP, did not tried it tough.
