Known issues
To unlock the Xperia™ Z1 boot loader, you must update your device to the latest software (build 14.2.A.0.290, Android 4.3). Unlocking the boot loader on earlier software versions will stop the camera functionality.
Some customers with unlocked boot loaders have experienced problems when they are accepting over the air upgrades (FOTA - Firmware upgrade Over The Air). For customers that have unlocked the boot loader, please do not accept any over the air upgrades. For additional information, check out the hints and tips from the community on the XDA forum.
Just want to confirm is camera still working after unlock boot loader on 4.3.

Yes, it's working good.

[Latest][Lollipop][BUGFIX][Prerooted][14.5.A.0.283][Z1compact][D5503]

Hi,
here is the flashable *.zip file wich installs latest Sony Bugfix Release of Stock Lollipop ROM 14.5.A.0.283 (Germany/Telekom), latest SuperSu v2.49 beta (works stable for me since weeks!) and latest NUT Dualrecovery 2.8.21 with read and write access to system. Because device is Wi-Fi only region doesn´t matter. Only difference is maybe pre installed bloatware by region.
Thx to PRF Creator and Flashtool.
Sorry File deleted!
Copy zip-file on SDCARD.
Go to recovery.
Install zip-file.
Reboot the system.
Yes this one is branded (Telekom) but the only change is Bootlogo and some Bloatware. There is no unbranded FTF since Weeks for this Firmware so this is the only option to get this Bugfix.
Of course i tested the release before uploading on my own Device. So far no errors found after upgrading.
I am not responsible for any damage to your Device or your Data! Be careful and make a Backup before flashing!
I install this ROM and there is superSU app and all it says that device is rooted but I can't uninstall any system app.
What to do?
not even with titanium ?
What bugfixes exactly this rom contain? Any official or unofficial changeling?

Battery drain should be fixed.
Hmm I'v been using 283 t-mobile for Poland but it has same issues as 270 I think this is only for carriers and contain only small cosmetic changes for carriers but this is only my thought because there is no any official info about changes. But always is worth to try

How do root on Nougat

How do root on Android 7.0 ?
Root on Nougat isn't possible at the moment, as TWRP available for it can't mount data.
You would have known if you actually read and searched across the forums. Well just wait and it'll be fixed somehow. But if you really rely on root, roll back to Marshmallow.
Ok thanks

[Q] Root without unlocking Bootloader

Hello Guys,
has anybody rooted the Xperia X Compact without unlocking the Bootloader?
I had the Xperia Z3 Compact before and there were very good Guides to have root with a locked Bootloader.
So has anybody tested a Way to use root with a locked BL?
Or is someone working on that Thing? (Best if it works for Android 7 Nougat)
The Sony Firmware Version 34.2.A.0.292 or 34.2.A.0.266.
Thanks,

If it would be possible, you would have it published already here. I don't even thing anybody is working on that. Unless someone finds a way to hack bootloader itself or dm-verity. If this essential thing is not done on Nexus with much bigger development base, it has no sense trying that on Sony.
Xperia X family has technically different firmware. The Z3 family did not use dm-verity and remains the last phone from Sony, that could have rooted system on locked bootloader.

Error message after Pie updated.

Hi everyone. After updating my Nokia TA-1033 to Android Pie, the following message appeared in recovery.
E: [libfs_mgr] dt_fstab: Failed to find device for partition system.
Does anyone have something like that in recovery? Before updating to Pie, I had a rooted phone. To install Pie, I uninstalled Magisk. Maybe this is the reason for this message. I tried to install everything from scratch. First, I installed the update from December 2017, then January 2018. And then, after starting, I immediately installed the OTA update to Pie. But further in recovery is this message.

Did you repair the phone?
I installed mena firmware through NOST and after updating to android Pie, I have this error in recovery all the time. But I can run the system. But all the time is the question from where this error is and does it mean some partitions failing?

maybe because there is different partition package per area or phone model

Title: [Help] Need Assistance Rooting Huawei P Smart Z (STK LX1)

Hello XDA Community,
I'm seeking help in rooting my Huawei P Smart Z (Model STK LX1, Kirin710) running Android 9.0 and EMUI 9.1.0. I've already unlocked the bootloader, enabled ADB and Fastboot, and downgraded my device to this specific version to enable Software Testpoint to get the Bootloader unlocked.
Unfortunately, I haven't found a compatible TWRP recovery image for my device, and using Magisk seems too complicated, mainly because the ramdisk is marked as "No," and the necessary files for installing Magisk are hard to find for this specific model.
I'd appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to safely root my Huawei P Smart Z. If someone could provide a compatible custom recovery image or an alternative rooting method, it would be greatly appreciated.
