CWM Recovery error - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Everytime I try to install a rom or any zip file in cwm, it could all files and everything but towards the end it says error loky-fying or something like that. Thanks to this my device was stuck in a boot loop for a while. It installs like 1/4 of the rom. Enough to see the boot logo and then it reboots.
I also got this error installing the white display and see through notification panel. Although it is working fully.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569237 go back to stock then. Cwm its not stable... use team win recovery..... and create a back up just in case your phone wants to act out.

Yes go back to stock and download freegee app in the market.. One click twrp install with the Loki bypass.. Easy as cake..cwm is poop

Cwm is poop, I agree lol

Will this delete app/user data? Flashing CWM did not
If so is there any known workaround at all?

Custom rom/recovery

Okay so like many of you cwm isn't sticking and when I go into recovery I just have the Google logo, I want to flash ROMs so installed ROM manger and found that if you boot into recovery through that app you can get into cwm.
Would like some advice on which is the best and safest method you have used! Thanks

i assume so, since i use it over and over and over again. anyways, theres a file you have to remove or rename in the /system/ fs that causes the recovery to not stick. most custom roms already have it removed, stock rom you have to remove it. the file is recovery-from-boot.p, rename it or remove it and your recovery will stick(at least twrp, cwm should also).

Hi,
Did you use the correct recovery for your phone.
It seems you have your own forum.
Look HERE

How did that happen? And yes I've made one back up that worked and now it won't let me make any more. I've got over 2 gigs of internal storage available. I've even tried do a back up to external sd card, which has 3 gigs of storage available, and it says the same thing.

Do you think ifi flash another recovery like twrp for example that would work or am I just wasting my time?

Hi,
It is definitely worth a try.
But You should be asking in your forum, not this one.
Also, look in your dev threads for the correct version for your phone.
That was it. Must have been something wrong with the cwm recovery because I flashed twrp and it worked perfectly. Thanx for the suggestion.

Something is very wrong, please help!!!!

Hi everyone, so my nexus 10 was working great about an hour ago. I'm rooted, I have CWM Recovery, I was running CM 10.2 and I wanted to try out CM 11.... So I downloaded the zip file, wiped my data, wiped cache and dalvik cache, went to install the update and got an error 7 and install aborted. So then I went to install my backup that I had just created and.... Md5 mismatch. I can't boot past the Google except for into CWM. I'm at a loss, what should I do?! I only have a mac computer and when I plugged it in, the computer wouldn't recognize it. Please help!!!!! Thanks.

Best advice I can give is to find a friend who has a Windoze system and use the Wugfresh toolkit to re-flash factory stock from fastboot:
http://www.wugfresh.com/
I found a toolkit for Mac, got her up and running. Just installed CWM again and going to root now. Thanks everyone.

If it fails just download cm11 on the computer and adb sideload the ROM.

please help!

im trying to put twrp on my tmoble g2 (d801) and everytime i attemp to put: adb push loki_flash /data/local/tmp/loki_flash and press enter all it says is "adb is not recognized as an internal or external command". i googled the problem and all that ame up was solutions to specific phones, any idea what i can do??
U should have adb installed in ur pc prior to running adb if u don't know install minimal adb and fastboot app on ur pc and then run adb from within the installed app.

Yes you must have img on sdcard then point flashify to it And flash. As I said you have to start with 6.3.2 then download correct zip for 6.3.3 and boot to recovery and flash unless someone has a img file for 6.3.3 or what ever the latest version is then you can flashift right to latest version. As far as I know you can not use the zip files. Not sure. But real easy. I promise.

I flashed 2.6.3.3 zip file using flashify all is well.
