Private Photo Vault - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for a Photo Hiding App that requires a password to enter the app and then the ability to have folders inside the app that requires a password for each folder. Just like Photo Vault on the iPhone. I'm a photographer and I keep my clients sample pics on my phone and I need the ability to make sure they don't look at other folders while looking at there pics. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated!!!

SafeCamera is what I use I love it I think its in the playstore if just PM me for it

Thanks for the recommendation……but I can't get it to do what I want…maybe you can help…..this is what I want it to do. I want to have a passcode to enter the app (which it does) then I want to have individual folders inside the app (which it does) and I want to have each folder have it's OWN passcode to enter the folder…..and I'm not sure if it can do this…..and if it can I can't figure out how to do it.

Lol!! You need fort Knox dfl uummm I don't know of any app that does that !!

LOL……that made me laugh so hard I snorted!! Does fort knox have an app? I'm a photographer and I keep my clients pic samples on my phone for them to view…..and I don't want them to be able to open another clients folder and see there pics…..that's why I want to be able to lock each folder with it's own password I was using Photo Vault on the iPhone and it was perfect, but I can find anything like it it for android.

Try applock

Is there a way?

How can I prevent the gallery from showing "certain files and folders"? There has to be a means of blocking or making them hidden, password protected, something.

Create a .nomedia file and drop it into the folder of pictures you want hidden.

There's an app in the play store called Pandora Box. It allows you to store any of your photos in it with a password, & this is probably the easiest way. Hope I've helped.
Most definitely. Thank you

Which launcher have this feature?

Since I bought the new Nexus 7 (2013), I want to give my original Nexus 7 to my daughter.
The problem is that she is three years old
So, I want to prepare the home screen for her...
Put all the games shortcut...
Then somehow hide or remove the app drawer...
Make it like kiosk mode
But, I can still reactivate back the app drawer. I don't know, probably via specific gestures or button combination.
Is there any way to achieve this? Special launcher?
Thanks

Yeah... You could use something like apex and delete the app drawer shortcut

If I delete it, I cannot go to the app drawer anymore.
Is there anyway to password it?

you can just delete it, whenever you need it again, all you have to do is add a launcher shortcut to the homescreen and choose appdrawer.
You could use multi-profiles and create one that's restricted to those specific apps only

Kids Mode
My 5 year old has access to my N7 and I use Kids Mode. It has saved my N7 from numerous actions 5 year olds make.
All you need to do is just have the Kids mode on the home screen, she can choose it and everything pops up and the tab is then shut down to what ever you dont allow access to.
It is the best $10 I have ever spent!! Or free if you dont want to really hone into the full features of the app.
There are a few apps like kid lock(famingo) that work well for this. UT defaults to the app, but you can unlock it and use it like normal.

Save snippet of screen as picture?

Hello all,
I am trying to figure out all of the functions that are possible with the S Pen and I am really enjoying the fact that I can select a certain portion of the screen as a screenshot. Unfortunately, I can only manage to save it in "My Scrapbook"..
Is there any way to save the snippet as an image so that I can then upload it to imgur or some other applications?
Thanks!

when u capture the image with the pen, the botton of the screen will present you with tons of apps that you can sent it to, scroll it to get more apps. just click on the app and wahla...

Thanks, I guess it's just the imgur app that sucks, you can't use the share intent to upload a picture.. You can only choose from storage or taking a picture with the camera..

Camera shots after wrong unlock code

I've recently noticed that whenever I type a wrong unlock code, the phone makes the camera shutter sound. If the phone is taking pictures, where do those pictures go?
I don't have a security app that does that. Thanks.

You do not see them in the Gallery? Maybe in you login to your Google account in a browser and look for "Device Manager"...

I've checked the website but no it has no photo options. Thanks.

Encrypted Notepad APP ??

Hi guys
Does anyone know of a good notepad/memo app that actually encrypts the notes (probably with 256 aes)?
There's loads o play store that say they encrypt things but all they really do is either store them with unknown extension , just hide them, or store them and the passwords in plain text.
also the odd few i found that was meant to encrypt everything wouldn't run on lollipop.
So any recommendations ?

Thanks for the reply ; )
Keeper looked really good until I got to all the cloud and autofill passwords features (there's probably even a "forgot my password" option).
Also I think it's law that US companies need to put a back door to security software.
Any others?

If it's the app I'm thinking of, there was a few reviews that said that it actually stores the password in clear text that can be viewed with a file browser or by plugging the phone into a computer.

ok ill look into it a bit more
Just to confirm, its this app your talking about:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.mm.android.securememo&hl=en_GB
Has anyone heard about safe notes:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isbell.ben.safenotes&hl=en_GB
I just tried secure memo and I REALLY don't like the way that all the notes are on one page.
They should have a title that you click on to view the note.
Any other apps out there ?
Anyone else ?

Thanks for that
You know, I've been spending so much time trying to find away to root my s5 without tripping knox and I didn't even think of it being helpful to me...lol
Having said that, do you think I would still be able to use a knox container after I've rooted the phone.
In the meantime, if anyone know of any other apps then please let me know ;

Hmmm...
Maybe I should avoid using it then just in case I decide to root it and it trips Knox.
I really don't know why I'm finding it so hard to find a good encrypted notepad app
How secure do you think safe notes is:

Its not that im being picky or sceptical.
I just want a encrypted notepad that does what it says it does by actually encrypting the notes and not just hiding them.
And I don't want to have all the notes on one page as it just complicates things, its better to have all the notes separate so you can click the title of each one to view them.
I'm still looking for recommendations so if anyone has found a good app then please let me know
How about this one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inno.securenote
