*Sorry For Bad English:laugh:

just take your systemui.apk change the extention to zip unzip it with winrar
goto res/drawable-ldpi
replace any png you want (pngs only not .9,png and dont replace any xml files!)
rezip
change extention back to apk
put in a flashable zip and flash in cwm with system mounted
if you want to change xml files or do anything else decompile the systemui.apk with apktool

ROM Toolbox icon changer is not compatible with Galaxy y. I have tried on deodexed ROM with ROM Toolbox Pro. You need to change icons manually as marcussmith2626 said.

Transparent Status bar

Anyone try it with Mik's CM7 and flashing it without CWM recovery? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102755
I want this, I don't like the black status bar, it makes my screen looks smaller and I don't like to hide it.

It should work, but I don't have CWM Recovery so I'm on the fence to try it out..
Yea. There's an update.zip file which I tried. Makes the status bar transparent with multi picture live wallpaper. Flashed with CWM.but there's no easy way to go back..
I have used it for a very long time ( when I had 6.5.2 ) ..... but it is not updated for 6.5.4 :-(
It replaces the systemui.apk ... so I guess only those who have 6.5.2 will be able to use it
For returning to black statusbar, backup systemui.apk and replace via adb.
Ahh ok guys. Not worth the trouble I guess?

You have to deodex Mik's or Andy's rom for this.
Did this last night, the theme is awsome!
I'm now on Andy's CM7.0.3 RC4.1 with this theme. Awsome!
So the procedure:
Take the rom in linux or windows with cygwin and jdk.
Load it into the kitchen.
Deodex it with the kitchen.
Flash the new packed rom.
Instal the theme.
Flash your own patch made with the patcher for MEIZU.
...
???
Profit!
is it possible with standard android 2.2.2 to have transparent status bar?
For all you guys that flash the patch, don't use the multi-pic live wallpaper. If on ADW, take off the wallpaper hack in the settings, and you will get it. I even think that LauncherPro has it too.
All I want is the.transparent status bar how do I apply ? nevermind i see should of read more

Mik's Rom isn't deodexed.
This patch needs a deodexed rom to work. So you first have to deodex it. If you want I can deodex it and upload it for you. Had the same problem, I'm using the same the but with andy's CM7. Tried it with mik's first, deodexed it and the patch worked. But then I switched the rom.

Here's the deodexed version: http://www.multiupload.com/4EDXYIMXMA
^ I dont know what yuo've done but on flashing your rom, only 200-700kb is free on the internal memory! where as other wise its above 30mb!
somebody do something to make that transperant bar work with cm7 6.5.4!!!
What about neojn devoid froyo rom, can we get transparent bars too
Froyo roms don't support transparency in the statusbar as far as I know.
They are missing the SystemUI.apk in whichs classes.dex the class for the Statusbar is in which one variable has to be changed.
okk its working for me...
S1ckness(thnkz to him) above posted deodexed version of miks 6.5.4 download tht first
1- backup your data using tb. boot into recovery wipe all ur data do fresh install
cyanogen_thunderg-ota-eng.mik-6.5.4-deodexed.zip
2- after installing reboot..
3-again reboot into recovery
3- install this small patch(zip file) download the attachment (i extracted system.ui.apk and framework.res.apk from the above rom and patched it through UOT Kitchen)
4- reboot
5- install a zunes them (meizu_v8_0_for_cm7_by_zdunex25-d3h0m0i.zip) theme given in 1st post.. (Extract MEIZU_MDPI_by_Z25 from the zip + wallpaper.png)
6- to make it work if u are on ADW launcher in its setting untick wallpaper hack..
7-if using launcher pro(like me) download multi live wallpaper from market nd set a single image(wallpaper.png or any wallpaper from ur gallery thru multi live wallpaper) as a wallpaper using multilive wallpaper.. You can find multilive wallpaper in live wallpaper section after installing it.
for me its working great. am using the 6.5.4 miks rom posted by the guy above some post + franco v17 cfs kernel + dark tremor data2sd.. trust me its working awesum...
here are my screens
Honestly if lp user have to use multilive wallpaper then its actually not worth it. Multilive wallpaper isn't that lite. Makes scrolling and stuff laggy for lp. It should be like you can use any any wallpaper without multilive and should work.. perhaps sometime somewhere in future. But this method isn't just worth it.

[MOD] Statusbar Tweaks for Stock firmware **DISCONTINUED**

DISCONTINUED. New updates on this THREAD
Hello!
I'm parasmi from the Galaxy Mini Forum.
Just want to share this mod to the Galaxy Ace users
This mod adds customization to statusbar clock, battery, and signal. It also includes Battery Bar and will enable you to change statusbar background color and transparency (needs root access). It's accessible via Setings > Statusbar Tweaks
I don't have an Ace but I tested it on my phone using your DDKQ8 firmware. No guarantee in will work on other firmwares.
As always, flash at your own risk! Backup is a must!
Credits:
RomanBB for Statusbar Tweaks sources
pvyParts for additional Statusbar Tweaks sources and Battery Bar
Screenshots (taken from my ROM) HERE and HERE
@ROM cooks - if you will use this in your ROM, please give proper credit and add a link to this post.
Enjoy!
Installation notes:
-Again, your firmware should be DDKQ8
-You should know if you have an odex or de-odex firmware
-You only need to install 1 zip file from the attachment. It will depend if you are using CWM or Stock Recovery AND if you have an odex or de-odex system
If the zip file doesn't work, try manual installation -
1. Extract the contents of the appropriate zip file
2. Using Root Explorer, copy the extracted APKs to your phone's /system/app/ folder. Override files if prompted
3. Set permissions as attached
4. Reboot
5. To use custom fonts, create a folder /system/TEAM/font/ and place any font file a rename it to 'clock_font.ttf'. Set permissions as attached
Reserve just in case
hey
im uisng ddkq8 on ace and the 3 rd app from your list does not install via cm 5.some advise?

Adding other firmwares in the next few days. I'll also try to throw-in the 15 toggle mod as well.
Thanks!
EDIT:
By the way, can someone confirm if flashing via Stock Recovery works? Thanks!

I'm on Stocklite V.6.
Flashing via CWM....mount system e data....working good...no problem !!!!
Great job bro !!!!
Thanks.
does this have the battery bar like honey comb ???
I use Lovetz's Odexed CyanogenMod 7.2-cooper-KANG-RC1-Android 2.3.7 on DDKQ8, and installed this in a hurry (cause I've been hungering for transparent status bar for a long time). But after reboot, I lost settings option from the menu. As you adviced, I used odex patch and its an odexed Rom over DDKQ8 base, so whats wrong? Its not for CM7?

according to guys in ICS thread, it can be done by uploading the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from ROM files...?
I managed to flash theme but only font was changed (no battery changed):crying:
With all the data2sd, aps2sd etc implementation on Desire for ICS, are you sure that flashing those apk files on /system/framework or /system/app is the right path for it? You may need to manually put it in there.
It is confirmed for now that UOT doesn't work with ics. I wasted half an hour trying that on an Galaxy Ace typical no a2sd rom.

Update
mattmanwrx provided me with a modded framework-res.apk that worked but only managed to change my font:crying:
I noticed that the themed battery showed in my notifications when my USB cable was connected

Yh its like that with INT2SD, in UOT you have to change the path to "sd-ext/apps_s" and "sd-ext/framework_s"

you want the stock rom`s status bar or jelly blasts original status bar??
1. For stock status bar:
1. if you have a nandroid backup available then extract the system.rfs.tar using root explorer or any other program and go to /system/app and copy systemUI.apk.. place in your system folder and set permissions to rw--r--r-- and reboot
2. If no backup available then get a phone with rooted stock rom and send systemUI.apk via bluetooth
Click to collapse
2. For jellyblasts original status bar:
1. Go to applications-->manage applications and clear data of status bar greper and reboot (if you want to remove the modifications done)
2. (May not work especially if you have installed any tweaks) Reflash ROM without wiping anything (not recommended though on an non CM rom)
3. (If you want statusbar of jellyblast v3.0.0) Using root explorer delete systemUI.apk and statusbargreper.apk from /system/app.. extract systemUI.apk from jellyblast ROM zip and place in /system/app/*here* and reboot

Can anyone help me...I use prerooted balliboxer firmware..everything is working fine..but I want colorful status not like white...plz help someone. ..
Sent from my SM-G7102 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You need to decompile the SystemUI.apk (which is the statusbar)
you can use apktool to decompile (afterall ther are plenty guides on XDA to modify statusbar)
once u've done decompiling, replace the images that you want
but dont modify .9.png i.e "9" images else apk will get corrupt or unstable.
then sign the apk and replace your modified systemUI.apk with the one in system/app
and bingo! you have a custom statusbar.
