VZW Note3 on ATT. Caller ID shows " + " - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I finally able to use the Note 3 VZW on att. Another problem shows up when i get call from people. When friends call The caller ID display +415xxxxxx or + area code then number.
i think when u add a + is consider international call. So, i guess the phone thinks i am getting international calls. I am wondering how i am able to remove that? I had note 2 vzw, and it doesn't give me such issue. any comment or suggestion would help. Thank you very much:good:

I was wondering the same thing! Whenever I return a missed call it has the + like you say before the caller ID and then it thinks I'm trying to place an international call. Makes it very annoying to use on AT&T. Maybe that is their plan?

I installed IntlPrefix from the play store and it took care of it. Sweet!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boogersoft.intlprefix

i would look at 2 things
settings > Call > Other call settings section
1. Current Country is set correctly?
2. try to toggle Assisted Dialing?

I can`t call!

Hi. I have a problem once bought a phone, configured everything correctly, I can not make a call from him. Incoming work. Outgoing not. At the mobile did not call, and calls on the city but did not get there. We asked the operator, he said that you have phone numbers for recruiting figures ahead adds. But in the recruitment of such numbers 1111111111 he added nothing. Please help me. Sorry for the bad English
Your post is very hard to understand.
As far as i can tell, you can recieve calls but no outgoing calls work?
Can you please answer a few questions.
1. What model of phone do you have?
2. Where did you obtain this phone from?
3. Who is your service provider?

Google Voice / Porting Number Help

Hopefully someone can help me out here. I just ordered a Nexus 4 and will be receiving it in a day or 2. I am currently on Verizon and will be switching to T-Mo when I get the Nexus 4. I am not sure how good the service will be so I kind of want to test it out before canceling my Verizon account since I have a pretty decent plan that I would not be able to get again.
Can someone explain what would happen if I port my number to Google Voice? Will that cancel my Verizon contract? I would like to keep my number on the new phone but still be able to keep my Verizon account active all without getting new numbers to give out to people.
If I port my number to GV, what happens to my Verizon phone number? Would they need to give me a new one? Will my contract still be good until I know for sure that T-Mo coverage is good and I call to cancel.
Hope this makes sense and appreciate any help you guys can offer.
Normally, moving your number to GV cancels your Verizon account.
What I have heard about people doing is calling verizon telling them you want to move to GV. They will give you a new verizon number and you move your old number to GV. Once you get GV setup you can have it call your new verizon number and your new tmobile number. Once you are comfortable with tmo, you can can cancel verizon.
Word of caution though. GV works well 98% of the time, but sometimes it is lacking. I have missed calls being sent to my phone (Im on ATT/StraighTalk/) You have no technical support available. Google doesn't give a **** about GV anymore.
Another question, if I port my number when I dial out will it show my GV number? How would that work? Also, what about text messages and mms messaging? Since I am now jumping around on pre-paids I think it would be easier if my number was with GV instead of having to port it to each carrier every time. Is this doable and would my GV number be used for everything?
I have never used it for anything but voice mail but figure it must work with everything if people would port a number to it?

Verizon G900V with Straight Talk cannot reply calls???

Ok I've been using my GS5 with straight talk for a while now and everything works but replying calls.
And by that I mean if you call me now the phone call under "recent calls" gets to me with +1 800...
If i go and tap there to place a call from recent I get an error from verizon about a supposed "international call"
My phone is also working on H+ but that is just because of the bands I have the not verizon sim card error but that cuz I'm lazy
Other thing is I receive MMS through a group message which is really weird but I think someone talked about that already.
I've tried 2 phones like this already with the same results so if someone knows something plz share
I've tried dealing with assisted dialing but does not make any difference btw.

Lg v30 verizon problem

Hi all,
I'm always being shy to post, but this is an amazing place for information, this time i couldn't find anything that I was looking for so here it is the question:
- I have bought LG v30 from South Korea unlocked 128gb phone
- its recognize Verizon sim card
- 4LTE internet is working
- text messages or voice phone calling is not working, if something else is calling me it goes to voice mail.
I have called to Verizon tech support they told me that they cant enter manually the IMEI address since such phone doesn't exist yet in they data base.
Dear community,
I'm asking for help or guidance - what can I do to make this amazing phone working. I own a business so its very sensitive for me to receive phone calls or txt messages.
PS my previous phone LG V20 got completely ****ed up on construction site.
THANK YOU
In order for a phone to work reliably on Verizon it must have LTE Band 13. I'd imagine the Korean version does NOT support Band 13. Most phones support Band 4, which Verizon sometimes uses, but without 13, you're out of luck in most places. I'd either wait for the unlocked American V30 or get the Verizon branded one.

Using Red Pocket CDMA

Is anyone using Red Pocket CDMA? Will I have to contact Red Pocket for CDMA_LESS to have text messaging working? My 6t arrives today and I am beginning to wonder if it will even work with Red Pocket CDMA. I was going to put my activated sim from my axon7 into the 6twhen I get it and hope it works.
So I got the phone today. Data works but can't make or recevive calls/text. Waiting to see if Red Pocket can do anything.

You may need to program in the APN settings for texting and calls. I am unfamiliar with Red Pocket, but searched the APN settings for them:
https://bestmvno.com/apn-settings/red-pocket-mobile-apn-settings/
Hopefully this helps
Edit: I believe CDMA APN settngs are at the bottom of that link.

Thanks. The sim card needed to be replaced. Something about it locked to 3g or a 3g only card. It's all working now except for receiving sms messages. Redpocket has a ticket open to see if they can find a way to add CDMA_less provisioning.

Does Red Pocket use Verizon towers? If so theres been a few articles about a temp fix:
https://piunikaweb.com/2018/11/06/o...ng-issues-receiving-sms-mms-but-theres-a-fix/
Were you able to get the 6T to work completely with red pocket?
I'm attempting to use redpocket (CDMA/Verizon) as well. Sim card is activated and I get data service, but no voice or text. It won't let me change my APN settings. I guess I'll need to call them and get a new sim card like was mentioned earlier in the thread.
The op has the correct CDMA bands for VZW, but unfortunately they are not active. This is a shame as where I work sometimes, CDMA is only available. Not sure why the f CDMA is not active.
So I had the issue with no calls/texts, but data was working on redpocket (verizon version). I called their customer service and told them my symptoms and they got calls and outgoing texts working almost immediately without a new sim card. Apparently we can't update the APN settings because they're automatically fixed on the 6t. Incoming SMS still doesn't work. I asked about CDMA_Less setting, and got a hard "no". Who knows if that's the truth, but the tech I was talking to said it wasn't possible even after consulting his IT guy.
Good news! I was able to get Red Pocket to add the CDMA_LESS feature and now my phone is running smooth as butter! I had some issues so I will explain how I overcame those!
First I couldn't activate my voicemail. By activating this you are activating your phone pretty much. Every time I went to select 1 for English as my language it said I submitted an invalid choice. So I threw my sim in an unlocked iPhone SE and activated the voicemail. I then threw the sim back in my 6t and was able to do everything except receive texts.
So then I contacted Red Pocket. I wasn't expecting much but I let them know clearly that I could do everything except receive texts. I said I just needed the CDMA_LESS feature added. She said my iPhone SE was showing as active so she updated my IMEI on my account and then added the feature. So after restarting my device all is up and running!

Nice! I gave up 5 months ago trying to get the CDMA_LESS added by Red Pocket & switched to their 'AT&T' sim. Not as good as the VZW service, but at least I got texts. Maybe I'll try & switch back...
Thanks for letting us know its possible. Question When you activated the sim on the verison unlocked iphone. Did you enter the activation info again about sim and IMEI of the iphone. Or did you just pop in the sim and made the setup 1st call.
I just tried with a pixel 3 unlocked and I still cant get past activating the sim when I press 1 for English.
So any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to know the answer. Failed to activate with a Oneplus 6T after 20 chats with CS. They said they activated cdma less but I still can't press 1 to activate. I also tried with my friend's iphone and it didn't work either. I now wonder if I need the cdma less deactivated to succeed activate with an iphone...
