Any Way to Mirror Streaming Movie on TV? - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I use xfinity tv now to watch TV shows and movies. It actually is better quality than streaming xfinity on my laptop. Is there any way (with or without wire) to clone what is on my phone to my Samsung smart tv? I know I can mirror my own pics and vids wirelessly but I don't know a way to mirror streaming movies on xfinity tv go. Thanks.

Details of how to mirror xfinity tv go streaming movie to samsung smart tv would be great

Chromecast will not work with the xfinity app. You need a mhl adapter.
Galaxy Note 3, HTC Rezound, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Evo, HTC Touch Pro 2, LG Voyager

Haven't tried it but it looks likes PLAiR2 stream Xfinity.
"Using a Chrome plugin (for the web browser version of Chrome) you'll be able to "beam" content from your smartphone, tablet, or notebook computer (or desktop computer, for that matter), from websites of all kinds."

Chromecast definitely does not stream web pages from mobile browsers, only from Desktop browsers. Maybe someday...

And with mhl to hdmi xfinity app will stream to tv? Will it be 1080i?

[PORT] Samsung Smart View App For All Android Devices - Makes You Enjoy Your Smart TV

Smart view mirrors tv on phone. I want to mirror streaming movie on phone to samsung smart tv.
Xfinity tv go is an app. You can't stream xfinity movies from browser.

Oh well. Doesn't look like either of them work very well anyway.
I'm pretty content with just streaming Xfinity and everything else from my laptop virtual desktop I guess.

Although I have good Internet speed from xfinity their windows browser app stutters badly on my laptop and is virtually unwatchable on my tv. Ironically it is fine on the note 3 but I'd prefer to watch a 55 inch screen over a 5 inch screen

Good news for purchased content

From todays press conference...
"Samsung Media Hub:
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 software update will introduce the evolution of Samsung's popular movie and next day TV content service, known as Media Hub. Media Hub has been redesigned with a new user interface and optimized video content for the 10.1" display for even easier downloads and higher quality viewing experience of rented or purchased content. Media Hub features thousands of new release and top-grossing titles from major Hollywood studios and leading television networks, including NBC Universal, Paramount, MTV, Warner Bros. , CBS and FOX. The new version also features Media Hub Show, which allows the user to playback Media Hub content on a TV through an HDMI cable from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 dock or adaptor. Users can register up to five devices under one account to access owned content across multiple devices without repurchase. Alternate premium video options include Android Movies, which is available to download from the Android Market."
Looks like paid content can now be viewed on your TV through HDMI
I was wondering if that would be the case. I assumed so..... but drm and streaming rules can sometimes be very restrictive.

Does media hub allow you to rent movies if you have root? Going to try on my tab tonight and was curious if I would be wasting my time.

I am rooted and was able use the mediahub movie download.
I'm rooted, I bought a tv episode, it worked fine.

Hdmi through wifi

Someone said it's possible and I'm getting a new tv.
Can someone tell me what I need to get this to work besides a tv with wifi
Thanks
From the giant: Galaxy Note
It's called dlna. If your tv supports it and your tv and note are on the same wifi network you can play videos from your note to the tv.

Will it mirror everything or just show videos?
From the Beast : Galaxy Note
No dlna will play videos from your phone with all share . Mirroring is through hdmi cable as far as i know.

The other alternative is an Apple TV. I installed 2 different programs from Market to try AppleTV with android but I haven't tried yet... (Apple TV supports 720p)

[Q] Has anyone figured out how to cast s4 to sony blu-ray player?

Twonky + Roku = perfection for casting/streaming local videos in the bedroom, but I would love to find a solution for the living room where the humongous tv is. I get that I can buy Chromecast or such and stream that way, but with a tight budget we're hoping to run the blu-ray player til it dies The blu-ray player streams youtube, netflix, amazon, hulu, etc, and I've gotten so far as to download one app, PlayTo Sony, which displayed the name of my device on the screen, but showed no media to play, so got part-way there but no cigar.

Only the Blu-ray player has wifi. TV isn't a smart TV.

is the blu ray DLNA compatible? I think that is the only way it will work, if it is DLNA you can try the Skifta app

Yes, BDP-S570 shows DLNA yes. I got skifta to go so far as displaying all my musical artists/albums on the TV, no luck with the video section and wouldn't play any music files either says no file to play.

HDMI Quality

When I connect my stock unrooted note 3 to samsung tv by hdmi the quality is only 30P. My tv tells me when I connect. I thought this phone was full hd? The picture is watchable but really disappointing. Is there any way to get full hd? Is there any way to wirelessly mirror screen without allshare? I don't want to look at pictures. I like to watch streaming video and it has no all share option. When I connect with hdmi I get true screen mirroring but only 30p. As long as I am looking at a ****ty picture it would be nice to do it wirelessly. I saw a thread that suggested using direct wifi but that does not do anything. Any ideas? Thanks.
What kind of streaming video exactly?

If the TV has wifi, direct streaming is native, if not buy a Chromecast

It's doesn't have Wi-Fi. Will chromecast work if its not a smart tv? I actually am not familiar with tvs at all, haven't used one in years. I don't know if this is a smart tv or not, it doesn't have android or any of that.
