S-view case scratches screen - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone experience this? I see minor abrasions on my screen only where the s-view window touches the screen. Any suggestions to remove the abrasions or remedy the issue?

Yeah! I've experienced the same
And no solutions till now

This hasn't happened to me yet but now I'm paranoid. Does anyone know of an armor style flip case? I dropped mine the the other day and scratched the aluminium on the bottom right corner. Heartbreaking.

I literally only just got an S-View cover a day ago after being caseless for a while.... I do have a screen protector on though and all I notice is the S-View square does make an imprint on the protector, If I had no protector on then I guess it would make a little scratch, It seems the plexiglass on the S-View is slightly raised/corners a tad sharp. Manufacturing issue most probably.

I have many small abrasions in this square window area. Has anyone received a solution from calling samsung? Verizom won't do squat.

Which S-View are you guys using? I have the wireless charging one and like I mentioned I have not experienced this issue, although time will tell I guess. Also how long did it take for the scratches to start appearing? Edit: Nevermimd the last question, literally a day. Sorry I didn't notice.

I have the normal S-View (Non Wireless) -- The packaging on mine is a little bit older than the other colours that were for sale in Phones4U near me. (mine is black)
I noticed the imprint on the screen protector as soon as I had closed the cover. And felt around the edges which were slightly raised.

I've had mine for a couple of months now.

Official samsung s-view case, no wireless charging, no sharp edges, no beach sand, no unnecessary friction.

Which model, wireless or non? This is disheartening. I'm scared to even close the damn thing now. It's been a week for me and nothing happened yet, but a big risk to take on a $750 phone

It really is a shame. I'm waiting for a glass screen cover to take on the scratches from now on until samsung hopefully recalls or resolves this issue.

Ya...I got it...****..I now put a tempered glass protectir over it to hide the scratch..and I used a wallet cover instead...f the s view case

Are you guys saying that the plastic window is scratching the gorilla glass of the Note 3?

Indeed it is, many small abrasions from the two touching repeatedly. I thought the new iteration of gorilla glass was a lot stronger than this, but apparently it is not.

Yes indeed!!!
Got a official S View case (black) put it on my note 3 and within 2-3 wks started noticing a very fine straight line across the screen at the bottom of the s view window, tried rubbing, cleaning, polishing, with NO luck. Bought a spigen glass tr and haven't used the damn S view cover again. Sucks spending $65 for a cover that ruins the glass...

I can tell that its not only the S-view cover that damage the screen, also the original Flip wallet cover damage the screen. The carveing for the visit-cards edge, will also damage the screen. I have a fine straight horizontal line on my screen at the bottom of the visit, card carveing. From the middle and out to the right side of the screen, then vertical all the way up followed again by the visitcard-carveing, then at the top of the carveing I have again a fine horizontal line from the right side of the screen to about the middle of the screen.
Screenshot where I tryed my best to follow where these lines are:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r4u1k3ydln9yivt/tempFileForShare.jpg
Its pretty much impossible to see unless you got some finger grease on the screen, but with the s-pen it feels like crossing the atlantic....
Question now is, what els is there... If it wasnt a original cover there would be nothing to do...

Hmmm. well I have been using the S-View cover for several months now and my screen has zero scratches. I keep the phone in my bag or trouser pockets and no problems at all.
When I bought the Note 3 on launch day back in September, I asked about the S-View cover and was told stock would be delayed as original stock was sent back to manufacturer because of quality control issues. I am wondering if there was an issue with earlier models of the case related to scratching. Just a theory. I used a standard S-View cover at first then replaced it for the wireless charging version, again this was further delayed before stocks were available so maybe there have been significant improvements.
So, it is possible to have this case protect your phone without the need for an ugly screen protector. I have never used one of those on any of my numerous touchscreen devices over the years, I maintain as long as you take good care of the phone it does not need one. For those that work/live in dusty environments I guess it's a good idea but day to day the S-View case on its own is sufficient in my opinion.

I have the s-view cover for a month now and screen is still absolutely perfect.

The view cover scratched my phone in just a week, so I had to buy a screen protector.
The scratches are located exactly where the screen of the cover is located.
I guess that's because I've answered the calls with the cover closed, and by pressing it, the existing dust made his job :-\

The Protectors..
Sorry to hear all those screen scratches .. well at least they are not broken into pieces .. I said that because last time I read about Note 3 screen replacement (gorilla glass) it will cost around $250..
The first thing I was proposed by the Samsung sales when I bought Note 3 was to buy a screen (film) protector, I hesitated previously but accept to buy it anyway because I dont have time to argue. At home I didnt really care about the film protector because as soon as I saw Spigen release the Glass.tr tempered glass protector I bought it from local reseller and replace the original film protector with Glass.tr. and then I realized that the old film protector was still reusable so I put the old film protector on top of Spigen Glass.tr.. Lolz but it worked! .. so my phone now using SView cover with double screen protector
I also pre-ordered Spigen S View slim cover to replace my old S View cover (I need it to protect all sides (edges) of my Note 3 as Spigen said Glass.tr will broke if hit by its edges). Soon my Note 3 hopefully will be protected on all corners.. up .. bottom. .. and all edges.. hopefully.. please God bless me.

xoskins and xtreme guard screen protectors

Hiya guys,
I was just wondering if anyone else has either used xoskins or xtreme guard protectors and been left feeling disappointed? I originally had an SGP ultra on my nexus 4 but I was feeling a little annoyed that it didn't cover the full screen. Other than that they're perfect, nice screen hardness difficult to scratch and leave the screen looking amazing. I really thought the xoskins one would be perfect so I paid the price and ordered (shipped from US to UK).
Finally arrived, installed straight away. Let me just say I've fitted lots of screen protectors before to various phones and I'm pretty good at it. So much so friends and family ask me to do theirs for them. Still, the xoskins one felt a little fiddly. The solution they provide makes it very slippy, so using the squigy afterwards made it squirm around which was annoying. Also, even though both sides were wet the squigy still left slight burns after only 3-4 swipes. It took a full 48 hours for it to dry.
The cut on the protector was good, and it was nice and clear. It seemed to leave a slight orange peel effect across the screen though, and I had 4-5 thin rainbow type lines/scratches about 1cm long on the one side which were clearly on the underside of the protector (all perfectly straight and all facing down perfectly so I'm thinking manufacturing fault?). The feel of the protector was frankly awful. It flexes under finger and restricted swiping somewhat. Worst of all, any slight knock leaves imprints. I tested it by lightly rubbing my nail across it, it left a clear mark that was there for 2-3 days! It flexes way more than I'd like, I can't see it providing much protection from knocks tbh. Granted I wouldn't do this in normal usage but any other knocks left imprints too.
So I removed it, and thought I'd try the xtreme guard. My god, I've never used such a rubbish protector. The cut is dubious at best, the screen clearly looks worse when its on and it suffers from the same indentations and flexing as the xoskins ones.
Maybe I've been spoilt by the SGP ones (I still have the back protector SGP skin on there as its a perfect fit as its flat) or maybe all wet application protectors are like this to be more flexible for the curved glass?
Either way I've ordered another set of SGP protectors and I'll put up with the exposed edges. I'm sure there's people out there that are happy with their protectors, but I just wanted to share my experiences.
Wet applied screen protector can never compete with the dry one..even the $1 junk one.
I took off my Xtremeguard and using the junk that came with my nillkin case..which is still much clearer than the xtremeguard.
But I keep the back of xtreme since it make it less slippery.
Glad its not just me who found this then I can see how having a *stickier* back protector could be beneficial. The SGP one I have is still rather slippy. Hoping it will help strengthen the back though in case it has any accidents The SGP ones saved my iPhone 4 before. One was a drop from my ear onto a wooden floor!
It's nice to read that I am not the only one who dislike the Xtreme guard screen protectors.
I just cant believe how sticky it feels and how much it gets scratches and dents.
I've got a fillkin flip case comming my way as well so I think I'm also going to replace the front xtreme guard screen protecotr with the nillkin one.
One thing to keep in mind for all wet protectors is that when you need to push out the bubbles, never used a squeegee. It is very difficult to avoid burns on the surface with a squeegee. Instead wet your finger tips and push the bubbles out with your finger. Much easier and doesn't leave burn marks.
If you absolutely need to use a squeegee, the paper one provided by SGP (ironically) is pretty good for wet protectors. Use the corner as much as possible and don't push too hard.
I myself prefer dry protectors as well but there are indeed some good things about wet ones. They are very scratch resistant, provide more grip, and doesn't show finger prints as much.
The xo skin i have is trash the front has so many random Knicks and bubbles and stuff the back does too but I'm going to leave that on and just use these 3 for $5 screen protectors from amazon until the glass protector comes out with reviews

I am using the XG and granted it has it's orange peel look to it, but I don't mind it. The look reminds me that I have a sp on and I can safely put the phone in my Seidio holster without looking. LOL.
Yes, the screen looks way better with a dry sp on, but I am happy with the cutouts and fitment. And plus doesn't affect the Diztronic Ultra hard case at all when taking off or putting on. Which is good IMO.
Am I 100% happy? No, I say maybe 96%. But for the price of 3 front and backs for 6 bux. I can't really complain too much.
Xtreme Guard are excellent. You just need to take your time applying it and pushing out the bubbles. Minimal orange peel and the protection is perfect around the curved edges.
After having mine on for nearly a week i'd still disagree. I have no bubbles or marks on the xg but it does have the black spots issue I've read about which suck! The cuts off on mine everything is aligned perfectly with screen edges but 1/4 of the camera lens is covered. Honestly its not how I fitted it. The feel is also pretty bad. I genuinely cannot wait until I get my new SGP ones.
Xoskins replied to my email about 4-5 days after I showed photos of the defects. They are sending me out a new protector at least. Will probably sell it on eBay to claw back some cash.
I'm not going to bother emailing xg as they're cheap and tbh I won't be going near their protectors again!

The problem I had with XO Skins was that the protector for the back of my n4 had a little pin hole in it! Luckily they are replacing it free of charge, including shipping! Which is good cause I'm in the UK and did not want to pay to send it back to the US.
The protector for the screen however has been brilliant, I've had it for about two weeks on there and the sort of rubbery feeling goes away and it feels very similar to the glass on touch. If a little more squishy. It does not drag against my finger anymore.
As for bumps leaving marks, I've noticed that, but they always go away within about thirty seconds.
All the bubbles have disappeared on my screen and its very clear.
I definitely agree with the OP about the application process though, the solution makes it very slippery, which is good when trying to position the skin. But when using the squeegee to push out the air bubbles and liquid the skin moved everywhere. After that though, it dried family quickly, did leave it overnight anyway.
I'd say I'm pretty pleased with my XO Skins purchase.

Why not? I'm talking about the front facing camera not on the rear. My SGP ones arrived this morning so the xg one was ripped off almost straight away so unfortunately I can't take you a photo to show you.
The cut was definitely off, there was some extra material right in the dip of the cut out that goes around the lens as if it hadn't been cut cleanly. The dip wasn't rounded like it should of been. Maybe I just got a bad one in this respect, but it shows there is very little quality control. Especially as mine also suffered from the same black spots I've seen elsewhere.
The bottom of the protector was literally up against the chrome rim, I couldn't of positioned it any lower so it wasn't due to bad positioning. It was just poorly made.
I've just ordered a Nillkin case which will hopefully help protect the bits of glass the SGP ones miss. The feel and screen clarity is so much nicer!
Well, xoskins replacement arrived today. It had been put into an envelope that has a bright blue lining and the edges of the protector now have a lovely blue haze. Great! It didn't even have a piece of card in to stop bending etc. so lucky it survived at all.
Not even worth trying to sell it, If I purchased one off ebay myself and it had this haze I'd be gutted. Really disappointed with them.
I did notice they seem to of changed the design too. My previous xoskins one had a U shaped cut out for both the front camera and the proximity sensor. This new replacement has O shaped holes for both so that there is something actually protecting the top edge all the way along.
That sounds like your first one was a case fit and your new one is a full skin. When I got a replacement it came sealed in a baggy, crazy. I would hit them up again.

The first one I had definitely went right up to the chrome edges on every part other than the top by the proximity sensor and camera where there was a U shape.
I'll drop them another email and see what happens. They can only say no.
Well, what can I say? I'm using the xg for the front and for the back of my nexus 4 and I'm very pleased with it. I have them on for about 2 weeks now and everything is well..
The cut of the xg protector is one of the best out there. In my past galaxy nexus I used a clear screen protector and every 2 months I had to change it with a new one because of the dust that got under it... Causing to many bubbles.
That's not the case with the xg protector. This thing is not going anywhere.. And I also use it with the official LG bumper case with no problems..
I'll try to upload some pictures for you to see.. The only disadvantage is that the feel of the xg protector is worst from other clear screen protectors, using the dry install method.

[Q] Anyone not using a case or bumper or screen protector at all?

Despite my concerns about the glass back on the Nexus 4, I went ahead and got one, for various reasons (my other leading contender was a HTC One X+).
But I hate cases. Just wondering if anybody who has had the Nexus 4 for a while has been using it without a case or bumper (or screen protector). How has that gone? Glass back okay? Cracks? Scratches?

I received my phone at the end of November and didn't have any protection on it. It lasted until this week, when the glass back shattered (not from any impact, I believe it was the result of temperature differences). It had gotten a little bit of wear and tear, with a few hairline scratches on the glass.
If you want to keep your phone in pristine condition, wrap it up. If you're okay with it getting wear and tear, the bumper should be fine. If you go bare, I believe it's probably just a matter of time before something happens.
I've been using the Nexus 4 with a Diztronic case and it seems fine, however I'm still awaiting an OtterBox for my Nexus 4.

I'm not using protection... It is just a matter of time before something happens... But in the mean time this phone feels and looks awesome.
I'm an architect and it has always bothered me to cover up nice design... Though, I do wish they had prioritized durability in their design criteria...
P
I got n4 when it first came out so there were no decent cases around. I used my phone naked for about two weeks and ended up with three scratches on the back and a few more on the bezel.
I now have the LG bumper and a screen protector on the back. The front is holding on line a champ though so im not using protection.
I got the scratches because the phone feel of my desk twice (be careful is really slippery).
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
not a single scratch!
The phone comes with a screen protector on the back that is so clear and thin, that I didn't even realize it was there, It has protected the actual phone from scratches. Though a body screen protector is on it's way and a nice hybrid case that covers the front too. I'm not rough with my phones, but my GS2 has almost no bezel left from the nicks. And my hopes are to sell the Nexus 4 for enough to buy the nexus 5 when it comes out (as many people seem to have been able to do that with the galaxy nexus)
Thanks for the replies.
Yeah, for now I've left the plastic covering that comes on the back, since it's not very noticeable anyway. Maybe I'll get a bumper at some point. It's the experiences of people who have the back shatter without any obvious impact that worries me.

Ive got that paranoid over reading threads about the N4 exploding in to a billion shards of glass for no reason i ordered a case before i even ordered the dam phone!

Oddly, it was unseasonably warm last week, with morning temperatures in the mid-40's and highs near 70. I suspect that the phone warmed up from using the GPS (Nexus 4 owners know how warm they can get) and then because I had ambient air coming out of the vents, that cooled it down. Over the course of two months of doing this, it probably weakened the glass and then one day, it all just gave out.
I bought a screen protector for the front and back, the screen looked horrible so took it off. Back protector is still on

I posted about this earlier but I had it less than a week and was so careful with it because of what I read and noticed a hairline crack about a 1/2 inch long starting from the middle edge. No drops or anything. I immediately ordered a Zagg protector and only put it on the back. I'm hoping it stops it from running any further.
I haven't put it on the front because I hate the way it feels, and the Gorilla Glass seems to resist scratches very well; unless you do something stupid like keep it in the same pocket as keys or change or something. I had my SII for almost 2 years with no screen protection and the front glass looks brand new. And the front of this is Gorilla Glass 2 so hopefully it will hold up even better.
I wish they would have used the same glass on the back as the front, but I'm sure the cost would have been too much.

Mines been naked since december and its still good. I have it in a pouch when in my bag to prevent scratches.
My oleophobic coating has pretty much gone though. Screen is no where near as smooth as it was. I'm going to try the fusso liquid coating. Anyone have any experience with this?

Used mine for 2 months without any protection. Fell once on the pavement, got few bad dings on the chrome plastic bezel, guess it's time for a bumper to cover that up. Also has couple of scratches on the back. Front glass looks perfect so far.
I used my first nexus 4 without any protection and after a month, the back glass had lots of scratches and the front only a few ones (usually invisible). Then I had problems with it and I placed a RMA, this one has had from the first day a screen protector and a TPU case.
Got my Nexus 4 a few days ago but was still waiting on my case to come in. I decided not to take off the front and back screen protector that came with it.
Good thing I didn't too because yesterday I was listening to music on my phone. A coworker bumped into me and it fell out of my hand (about chest height) and landed face down. I was in shock and couldn't move for a good 6 seconds. Thoughts were racing through my head. Lol. I was like yup. Only two days in and my phone is shattered. It's done for.
I picked it up and there were a lot of scratches on the screen. My face was so sour. I tried to rub it off but it wouldn't come off. After work, I went inside my car and looked at it again. I decided to take the screen protector off. Lo and behold, the screen was pristine. Not a single crack or scratch. I was so relieved. Lol.
My case finally came in today. I would advise for a case to at least protect the back. I won't be using a screen protector though.

I've had mine since the last week of Nov. I use it 24/7 no case no screen protector. And I stay in Houston where the weather is constantly changing. No issues here whatsoever. Still looks brand new.

I can't stand cases or screen protectors. I carry the phone in the front pocket of my jeans and a case simply makes the phone too bulky to carry for me. Nothing ever goes in the same pocket as my phone, so I don't worry about scratches so much.
That being said, over time there is no way to prevent the back and sides from being scuffed up. Not only that, this phone is pretty slippery totally naked. To solve these two problems, I use Skinomi carbon fiber skins not only on this N4 as I did on my GS2 and my Transformer Prime and dock. I like to keep my devices in mint condition for resale value. I highly recommend.
I've had a Cruzerlite TPU case on my N4 since day one. Still in perfect condition. I ordered the official bumper when it went back in stock last week. I don't like it. Way too slippery, especially compared to the grip the TPU case provides. The bumper looks better, it's sexy, I'll give it that... but the device doesn't feel secure in my hands at all. I went back to the TPU case and I'm returning the bumper.
This is the first phone I've used a case on. I generally hate the added bulk and covering the design. But the horror stories about the glass back are far too numerous to go naked with the N4. The Cruzerlite case is quite thin and I've grown to like it.
I bought case but don't use it .
No screen protector from last 1 month .
I do have protector for back but not any case.
I just be careful not to drop my phone . I did drop it once but it was from 2 feet on the carpet . have no scratch on front or back but screen need to be cleaned cause It gets dirty.
Only scratched I got is on the bezzel and it was due to my case so I stopped using case.

I would take it off immediately. There are numerous reports online that once the glass screen protector shatters , you risk shattering the glass underneath greatly and at least scratching it.

I used the one above and it works great. My gf had it for about 5 months and no bubbles.
Does get a little oily, but one good screen protector that doesn't start to form tiny bubbles. Some of the matte finish ones start to form bubbles randomly.
I got one and it is great, i am not sure why but i can see my note 3 easier in sunlight now, not sure if it is anti-glare or i am just going crazy. Does anyone know the EXACT thickness of this verizon tempered glass screen protector? I know it has 9H hardness though.
I purchased the Verizon one. I love it so far. Way better then traditional screen protectors and smooth to the touch. I'm not sure about the sview as I don't have one but works flawlessly with s pen. Great perk about buying it at Verizon is they will put it on for you. I know some people on here are pros but I get nervous putting mine one.

I had one of the "Chinese" glass screen protectors from eBay, and I loved it - not noticeable at all and very smooth to the touch... until the top edges began to separate and form huge bubbles at the top after only a few weeks. No matter what I did they wouldn't go away... it was driving me crazy so I had to take it off.
I'd love to hear from anyone that bought the Verizon one about how it's holding up after a few weeks of use.
Too bad I already used my $10 free isis promotion at Verizon.

Yeah that's the other thing that drove me insane. I was VERY careful when putting it on, and immediately placed it on after removing the protective plastic, yet somehow a few pieces of dust got in there.... it's then impossible to get them out. Once you remove it fully, or try to get dust or anything off of the side that goes on the screen, it gets ruined. ?
Suffice to say, I'll never get ANY type of screen protector like that again. As much as I really don't want an actual case, it looks like I'll probably be getting the s-view case with built-in wireless charging capability.

Stock screen protector

I bought an LG G3 for Verizon a few weeks ago. I love the screen protector that came on the phone out of the box. There is a little flip tab at the very top but I removed it easily without messing up the rest of the protector. Here is my problem: Near the bottom of the phone the words AUDIO JACK and CHARGING port appear, along with an icon for each and arrows pointing downward to show where each of these hardware ports are. I find these labels very annoying and I want to remove them, while keeping the screen protector. I tried using a Q-Tip with rubbing alcohol and my wife's nail polish remover for a few seconds as well and neither appeared the print. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove this print?
Buy one for a dollar on ebay or amazon or China.
please hit thanks if i helped in any way. send from my g3 d852 beast

Yeah - rip it off and buy a new screen protector. You're doing a lot more work than it would take to just put a new one on the phone.
It came with a screen protector? Or are u just talkin about the protective film

i got my g3 from verizon and i didn't get a screen protector...... tf
He's talking about the plastic shipping cover. I used mine for a week or so while waiting for my iCarez 0.2mm glass protector to arrive.
The words on the bottom were annoying, it was getting somewhat scratched up, and it was lifting off in some areas. Also, screen touch sensitivity varied and was generally poor.
I left the removal tag on mine, and when the real one came in I pulled it off and threw it away. Don't forget the bat-shaped bit of plastic over the power button...

I was trying to avoid having to remove this one. I've bought them on my own before and I can never get them to fit perfectly. I will just buy a 5 pack and see. Thanks for all the responses.
Do yourself a favor and ditch the plastic ones, get a glass protector. They fit better and apply much easier.

Yes, the iCarez .2mm is very good and was the easiest protector to apply that I've ever used on any phone. Not quite as oleophobic as the .4mm that VZW sells in the store, but is definitely more sensitive to the touch.

Just get the oleophobic screen protectors. They go on dry and fit really nice. They feel a lot like tempered glass ones. Or just get Tempered glass one. They usually have the oleophobic coating on them. It definitely makes it easier to clean.

How does your S6 edge look like after weeks of usage?

How does your S6 edge look like after weeks of usage? Does it have scratches or other sign of usage? Do you use it 'naked' or protected with a cover? Please post pics of your phone condition.
Thanks.
I bought my 2nd hand S6 Edge.
There are 2 tiny scratch on screen.
(The previous owner use it without screen protector and use with official clear cover case.)
I use it naked. Had a tiny scratch on the back, but I attached a d-brand back so no visible scratches anymore. The front and sides look like new. I git a few tiny scratches on the home button. They are only visible when the light hits it directly.

Mint condition, no scratches or scuffs, no case as i don't like them but i do have a dbrand skin as you can see ?
After months of usage, the only difference in appearance is the earpiece has superficial scratches. Also the screen protector has begun to peel off
I dropped my phone a few times already. I have this gel-like case (Ringke) and it's still scratchless. It dropped twice face down. But the Home button, geez. On the FIRST WEEk, yes, FIRST WEEK, it already accumulated a lot of scratches even though I wasn't a Home button guy even on previous phones.
After a couple of months of ownership with no case, I noticed a small scratch on the home button. There's also small scuffs on the edge all around the metal band. Overall, not bad
Unfortunately main looks like a tank that is because cannot stand the battery life of my phone so i decided to buy a this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331562403221 . Now am relatively happy because it save my phone couple of times (landing on concrete)though no scratches what so ever.

Phone is still Mint I used the all over clear skin from Skinomi and a Spigen tough case.
The clear skin still looks perfect the case has started to look a bit scuffed the rubber edge is OK it's the plastic back

Mine is fine, had Ghost Armor installed the day I got it on both front and back and been switching between my puregear clear case and UAG frost case.
Iv had mine in a spigen neo hybrid case since the day it was released with screen protector back and front.
Only damage I have noticed is the fingerprint scanner has small scratches all over it and the flash cover next to the camera scratches very easily!!
I've had full screen protector on and nothing else and it's fine no marks at all I do use a pouch to carry it in, was thinking of getting dbrand skin for the rear but I love the gold/platinum

scratches on screen even though I've been super careful.
I've never had a phone that scratches this easily.
even with the faint scratches, one on birth front and rear glass, this has definitely held up much better than previous Corning Gorilla glass versions i've had from previous phones.
I went naked for the first week. both the screen protectors I tried later on annoyed me and so I ditched them. I went through several protectors for the rear and sides. here are how they have faired...

Well I would have posted about how my phone has held up, except I am on my 4th S6 Edge in 5 months. First one fell victim to a water/rain catastrophe, so did an insurance claim, second one had a wonky home button so did a warranty exchange, third one had a malfunctioning recent apps soft key so did a warranty exchange.
Between spending money on Skinomi skins for each and 2-3 hours setting up each phone, I am having the worst run with smartphones ever.
Mine has a nice, large shattered portion on the left of the screen, near the volume buttons. Also has a few other cracks... Love the phone nonetheless.
Faint scratches on the screen then dropped it landed on the corner lucky on a dent
After only four months of use, I had to send mine away for repair due to screen burnin. Worst screen burnin I have ever seen. Sorry, didn't take any pictures of it at the time to show now. Got it back now with a brand new screen.
Where was the burn in? I'm having it on the bar at the top of the screen where all the info is..my wife has it to with her edge
