[Q] How to Link Ring and Notification volume - Galaxy S III General

I have 4.3 on my S3 and I can no longer link ring volume and notification volume in settings. I used to be able to control both with the volume rocker, but now the rocker only controls ring and not notifications. There's no longer an option to link volumes in settings and what's worse, when I tried a few apps like Quick Settings, the option to link notification and ring volume was grayed out.
It's such basic functionality, it's really annoying I can't find a way to do it.
Any ideas? Does exist any mod?

[Q] Notification Volume Setting

Anyone know a way to control the notification volume without having to go into settings? I know there is widgets out there, but every other android phone i have ever had the notification volume changed with the ringer volume. Am I missing a setting? Or any ideas. Thanks!

[Q] Notification sound

I am working and wish to lower my Galaxy Note's overall notification sound including incoming calls, sms, whatsapp, etc... I pressed the volume button on the side to like 2/7 of the bar. The incoming calls sound seems lowered but not the sms/msg sounds. What settings should I change in order to have the whole device's sounds controlling all at once?
menu > settings > sound > volume > notification
edit:
Sorry, I didn't completely read your post.
There's an app called audiomanager and it allows you to link your ringer volume with your notification volume.
thanks for your answer.
I mean there is no way to control the in-coming call + notification sound in 1 button? I pressed the volume up and down key on the phone only can control the in-coming ringtone I thought most phone can do that but not this Note. am I right?
So confirmed there is no way the side up and down volume button can control both ringtones and notifications sounds at once?

Help with custom ringtones??

So i have custom ringtones but sometimes just as I like to turn the volume down for the ringtones I'd like to turn the volume up and down for the notifications. Now i know I can go in and manually do it if i click on the settings after hitting the volume buttons..I'm wondering if there is any shortcut for this though?
Thanks

There's an app in the Google Play Store called Volume Master that should help you out :good:

[Q] Sync all volume sliders

Is there a setting that I'm missing or an app that will sync up all of the volume sliders to the volume buttons on the side of the S5? I'll turn down the volume on the ringer but the notification slider has to be done manually.
Thanks!
[Edit] Wow, my signature is dated somewhat.

Nice, thanks!

Turning on the old vibration mode in Nougat OOS (4.x.x).

Was posted on reddit today, haven't seen it here I think.
Link to the reddit thread explaining everything: oneplus reddit thread.
TL;DR:
You can now have DND with vibration.
Slider in normal position. Hold volume down while pushing notification slider all the way up and down again very fast. It should be in vibration mode now.
Very nice trick, it was so boring to have to use the screen to change from with/without vibration.
I now fear that I will destroy the slider very quickly now
Let's hope it will soon be possible to achieve this just by pushing "vol down" as it was before :'(
(and vol down again to remove vibration, even in normal mode, just as it was before the 3 modes were created in Android)
i dont get it what is old vibration mode? i get vibration mode via slider? its silent

Sound + vibration -> Vibration -> no sound at all
That's how I would like to use the slider
For now it is :
sound + vibration -> some hell where there is sound for some and not for others -> no sound (and maybe vibration if configured so, but not switchable easily)

Totally agree! Or just give us the option to REALLY control the slider?
Is it just me or this is not possible anymore in 4.0.3?

Lol not working for me either anymore xD
The tip works but it's quiet binding and painful.
Natively, it works. You put the physical button up (Silent) then you push the down volume button (and you keep the button pushed) and finally you place the physical button on normal mode. The "Vibrate mode" should ingage. If not, try again. It always work for me. A bit ****y isn't it?
Or...you install an application like "Sound Toggle" and it will do the trick via a widget.
Nope, it's not a bug, it'a a functionnality. ^^

I tried and tried and tried, without success
Any tips on an app which will add a quick toggle to switch on/off the vibration ?

Try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/themes/easy-to-vibration-mode-nougat-t3559124
I use Power Toggles. Add the Volume toggle to the widget and you can go ring, silent, vibrate modes.
