[Q] 4.4 to 4.4.2 - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I I was able to flash the manual update from 4.2.2 to 4.4 on my rooted Nexus 4, but I cannot flash the manual update from 4.4 to 4.4.2. I'm on the stock ROM, Franco kernel #194, with CWM 6.0.4.3. The reason I'm having trouble flashing the manual update to 4.4.2 is that the Shift+rclick isn't working in the ZIP folder on my system. Any advice on using the Nexus Root Toolkit?

Maybe this helps you

[Q] Note 2 Kit kat 4.4 upgrade question

Hello all,
I recently upgraded my phone to 4.4 kitkat through CM insatller. It current runs CM 11 with CWM 6.34.
As per ROM manager my phone is not rooted.
I just found out that Samsung has released the 4.4 updated and the firmware is available only for manual upgrade.
I want to know if I can copy the zip file on the SD card and flash it like I normally do or do I need to do it through Odin?
Please advice
Thanks
*Sorry if this questions was posted in the wrong thread.
Since that is official ROM, you need to flash it from Odin. It will also flash (new) bootloader.

[Q] Reverting Back from Lollipop

I recently installed Android v.5.0 Lollipop on Nexus 7 (2012) (Wi-Fi Only) using the image provided by Google. For some reason, I'm not satisfied with the performance I'm getting so I wish to revert back to Android KitKat v.4.4.4 and get the update OTA.
Yes, I've this really weird psyche.
Can any of you please tell me how can I revert back to KitKat in such a way that I will get all recent updates OTA?
Thanks!
with ota you will get that same update just installed using google's image. so if you don't like lollipop feeling (and you are not alone) i suggest to use wug's toolkit and flash stock 4.4.2 image without any other update

New Nexus 7 2013 Rooted on 4.3. What ROMs work?

I bought a 32 GB Nexus 7 2013 version today and already rooted it with TowelRoot and installed TWRP 2.8.2.2 via flashify. I have backed up the stock rooted setup.
Android version is still 4.3 with build number listed as JSS15J. I thought of flashing the CleanROM 4.0 released 12/10/14 that is Lollipop based.
Do I do anything else besides flashing the 4.04 flashable bootloader before flashing the ROM clean?
Thanks for the help.
Otherwise, what ROMs will flash on my current setup? Thanks so much.
Update. Did as mentioned above and all is well. I'll figure out removing system apps to install signed blacked out ones shortly I guess. Gmail is an example...
