[Q] help with titanium not installing - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey, so ive had many problems with titanium in the past and as of right now i dont have a current backup of all my apps because i acidentally uninstalled TB about a month ago and it hasent been able to re-installq so i dont have the luxory like i did in the past of being able to do a clean wipe to get it back working again, if it was that kind of issue.
But i was wondering if theres a way to installing it through fast boot or sideload it to try to bypass this error that pops up when i try to install it that i have insufficient storage.
p.s. not sure if this is right place for thread, and ive tried everything, only thing that will work is a clean install of android (im still on 4.3) or a more secure way of installing the apk/app (i try installing with play store but doesnt work.. also a current apk doesnt work [and that apk works])

[Q] Help unable to install anything

Hi
I am unable to install anything...
it all started with me flashing phoenix and than SN... they all worked well
but after my last flash... my phone would not install any apk or install anything from tibu or from the market...
I took out the sim card and it decided to download...
so I traded in the phone and got a new sim card but the same thing is happeneing...
does anyone have a clue what the problem might be?
maybe a poblem from the maket to my account or bad app???
Please help this is making me very frustrated...
Thank you in advance.
nothing???
Restore your phone to factory default???
did that done that... clear cache and all that...
but in stock it works... only when using custom roms...
i tried other things but it seems to work without ext sd card....
maybe its faulty... but than it did work when i exchanged my sim card also...
i still cant figure it out but i gave up...
noone seems to want to give any ideas or help =/
but thank you for your reply.
Are you getting some error or anything when trying to install an app. or does it just sit there doing nothing?
Also, what kind of apps are you trying to install? are they "trusted" apps or 3rd party ones from the market place. I had some issues with a few roms that would not allow me to install 3rd party apps ( so all apps haha) I found a security setting in the menu>settings>applications area
allow unknown source is checked and no its all apps in general including ones i dl off the internet and on sd card.
TiBu isnt able to restore it also.
no error message it just the install screen on the market and it just sits there and i am able to push the ok button on the install screen many times and it does absolutely nothing...
Thank you.
Ok, i found this on another forum,
"If your rooted and using a MCR rom, ie Vanillia or t-mobile stock style and you have recently rebooted your phone you may need to go back to recovery and do a repair ext filesystem in the partition menu." It worked for my friend who was having a similar issue. and since it does not do any damage to your current system its worth a try. Im still looking for more info for you
cant seem to find that in the recovery mode...
and thank you so much for your help...
i am right now using the newest phoenix rom.
I guess he ran the "fix permissions" in clockwork as well. trying to get ahold of him to have him talk me through it
ah
Those I already tried even the one in ROM manager.
i ran it again and it worked for a min or two than it does the same thing hahahahaha
im about to give up....
really ty for those tips.
Sorry none of them worked lol i guess google will be next stop for me lol GL

Cant update applications

Hello, so as the title says i cant update applications. Each time there is an update, i must first uninstall the old one, then install new one, otherwise it wont work and say "application not installed". I know its a problem i can live with, but still would be nice to just update and not go trough all uninstall/install routine each time. Im on cyanogen mod 7, tried reflashing rom, same thing. Hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance guys.
Did you try to clear the cache/data or backup your rom and stuffs and wipe.. this may help

[Q] HELP! Stuck Between A Rock And Hard Place (Insufficient Storage Error Message)

First off I'm new here and I rarely ever use forums or ask for help so I apologize. I was in IT for a year and plan on going into a computer related field so I don't want to be treated like I'm stupid, I'm just ignorant. That being said I NEED HELP
I have a Motorola Droid Razr M running the dreaded Android 4.1.2 OTA update. I recently rooted it and tried to use App2SD because I was running out of space and that was a nightmare because you need 4.2.2 Froyo and I'm ignorant, but anyways I rooted my phone just fine and was trying to unlock the bootloader but appearantly you can't on 4.1.2. So I decided to use Safestrap and I didn't have enough space to download anymore apps so I deleted a bunch and it still said (insufficient storage available) and wouldn't let me download it. I said fine and factory reset my phone after using titanium backup to back everything up. Everything was wiped and as I tried restoring using my titanium backup from the SD card it said insufficient storage for some of the apps even though I had plenty of space. (it lets me download like titanium backup and a few other apps, but mostly none of my paid ones or important ones which is even weirder) I've looked at other forums and can't download lucky patcher, titanium backup gives me a message when I open it that asks to restore my old android user id because of the factory reset and I figured that could be the issue but you need the paid version of titanium backup for that and it gives me the insufficient storage error message when I try to install the paid version idk what to do? maybe I can completely wipe it somehow and just start all over? or there's a special way to change the android user id back? or maybe I should unroot the phone because it's rooted but superuser isn't downloaded anymore and won't install. I have no idea what to do. I apologize for the inconvenience but I need some help. Any educated information on the subject or help would be SOOO appreciated. Thank you!

[Q] Can't install anything from playstore anymore

Hello fellow OmniROM useres, I am using Omnirom on my international SGS4, always latest nightly.
But since yesterday I have this weird error message whenever I try to install an app over PlayStore

even though I have more than enough free space, as you can see here:
iDOTimgurDOTcom/AVXjoi1DOTpng
I've alyready tried everything I could find on this error message but it still won't install anything.
Looking forward to a hopefully quick solution, many thanks in advance
(links in that weird format because forum won't let me post them)
bump, please help I really want to continue using this rom
Hey
I had the same issue some time ago. I couldn't install new apps or update older ones. I couldn't even download anything.
I don't know why this happened or what the cause is. What did the trick for me was a complete re-install of everything.
Do a full wipe. Not even the os should remain. Install the latest os. Install all apps from the play store and restore your app data.
After that everything worked again.
I hope this helps you too
Try install without SD card.

My rooted smt-350 crashed (kind of)

I rooted my smt-350about a month ago using chainfire and odin for my brother. Yesterday, suddenly many of the system apps started crashing, including the default launcher. I restarted the tab, but in vain. It stooped detecting the SD card. Third party apps are working fine but they are also not sensing the SD card. The tab worked fine before this happened. The tab doesn't have custom recovery or ROM.It has SuperSU. I am not an experienced rooter so please explain your solution. Thanks in advance.
Sounds Like you deleted Something you shouldn't have. Think of root as removing the protection that keeps you from screwing up you device. When you rooted unlocked the device and made read only files now read and write files. Did you install any apps from unknown sources(Not Google Play Store)? May have installed a bad app or just accidentally deleted something you were not suppose to. Easy to fix if you can stil get to download mode and find your stock firmware. Then flash it with Odin. Then reroot and be more careful this time and also make a back up with Titanium Backup from the play store(Needs root). Let me know if you need help with this I can walk you though it...
