Memory size over 16gb but with 4G available in the wild. - Xperia Tablet Z General

Reading around it appears that the only version with 4G is the 16GB internal memory version, is that correct?

Are you saying I can't use microSDHC? You said you are using MicroSD for 16 GB, from my reading, the biggest size for MicroSD is 2GB.

He's actually saying that you CAN use micrSDHC's.
So go ahead and buy one. I'm due for an upgrade myself.
I assumed that you knew that 16gb is HC anyway which is why I just said micro sd

Nexus s RAM

I bet this has been asked many times. I did a search but did not come up with anything usefull.
How come the nexus s is not using all of the 512mb of ram that it has?
Thanx.
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
You didn't search hard enough. But a portion of the NS RAM is reserved for the graphics/and whatever else. ~384 MB of RAM is the rest
Also they advertise 16 Gb of SD memory and out of the box there's 13 Gb free => carrier free i9023

Probably marketing. Because they do advertise that is 16GB, its just a portion of it is reserved for the file systems. And yup, its on all storage devices: SSD, HDD, MP3, USB, etc.

I represent the company of all storage devices.
The space available are calculated using this formula.
16Gb = 16,000,000,000 btyes
16Gb power to log 7 with base ten
It will come out to become 13.52Gb.
And yes, they decided to make it as a market purpose.
1gb
2gb
4gb
8gb
18gb
32gb
64gb
128gb
250gb
500gb
640gb
1000gb = 1tb
All these are sequence, after the conference held in USA 20 years ago, they decided to use this sequence even thought they dun reach what it should be They just round up.

No biggie; got the 16gb and put a 64gb micro sd in it. 80gb is sufficient for me ;-)

Thats pretty damn costly, as mentioned why not just add a larger sd card?
Pants shat.
This + 64gb microsd = duh.

This isnt actually that expensive. Its like +£80 on the 16gb here which is totally acceptable.

16GB is good enough for me, you can always upgrade it with a 64GB (+/-) SD Card
I know people always say put in an SD card, but internal storage is FAR superior to microSD. MicroSD is a great convenience, but I would take large internal capacity over microSD anyday.

It's not just apps. Videos and pictures. Pictures don't take up that much but some of the MKV videos I like to watch take a gig for each one. Thank goodness for microsd.

Videos, music, pictures. Plus to could still put at 64 SD SD card and get 128 GB of storage, excluding what the system uses.

64gb is crazy space with 16GB plus 32GB card plus my 50GB drop box I will struggle to fill it and I have a ton of music lol some people must have loads of uneccessary stuff lol

i really don't see any practical reasons to have so many things that would amount to 80~ gb on your phone

16+ 32gb card is good enough for me. Was gonna go with 32+ 32 but I still haven't used my 32gb up so it would be pointless.

[Q] Storage capacity of US versions

Can anyone who has already received their US version confirm the storage capacity and whether it came with the earbuds like the international version. I'm still seeing conflicting info on 16gb vs 32gb storage capacity.

Slightly late! I grabbed a 16GB one. Ended up with a 5GB model. I think they were running out of memory so they just grabbed what they could and stuck it in mine and i got short shipped. Thankfully they refunded me a little bit when i called and reported it.

I think you mean 8gb model 5gb is how much you actually have usable system takes some.
Like how the 16gb has 12.92gb in total system has taken some.

Thats what i thought too. Total space available, 5.67. Regardless of the ROM i got installed. They seemed to think it was a bit low even for an 8GB model though.

Hmm I'd have said it's about right for the 8gb model.
Glad when I ordered a 16gb model I got the right one. The 8gb would have drove me up the wall.

So they basically did you a favor.
16 is the sweet spot for me keep some albums offline and I'm down to 6gb free now. I also bought it when the price dropped.
And the ROM would never make a difference. Your not changing the partition sizes. For example I'm on purity ROM and have 800mb free in system partition.
