Initial Glass Experience - Glass General

Signed up for an invite on the site. Picked it up today. If you get an invite and live close enough to one of the pickup points I recommend going over it with a glass guide.

It's definitely not worth the price for most people but It's very very interesting to see the potential especially with some of the applications are there. I feel like it's definitely the path for the future of portable device accessories.
Biggest shortfall is the battery life currently so I'm planning on getting a portable charge device to run a little extra juice into it. Second one is making sure I have a solid mobile internet connection thanks to sprint's crappy network. Good thing though you can fix the battery by having a portable battery unit. Not optimal but a simple workaround that works well.
Yes you can watch Freddie mercury videos while in the car

How to build an emergency charger with two AA batteries

If you are tired of your battery draining off too rapidly ( Especially when using over clocking software like Pocket hack master and XCpuScalar) then you might consider building your own emergency charge device, like described in the fallowing link:

Enjoy!
Let's remember how odd this will look if you're trying to go on an airplane with a small Altoids tin with batteries in it!
This is really cool. Thanks!
It´s really nice, but for this price for one pice (20$) and the time to build it, it´s cheaper and easier to buy it ready made.
I get it for 10€ incl. shipping and then with four batteries.

Good Cheap Leather Cases

Good News: This case was made for the ZUNE, but it is amazingly able to fit the Kaiser perfectly and still have access to soft keys with added screen protection via the transparent plastic front.
Bad News: These cases have been discontinued and i've not been able to find any of these online or in any other stores.
This case is HARD. I've gotten leather cases in the past and they were soft but this one is far more protective/user friendly than any others, I might be able to get my hands on a couple more if they are not sold out locally within the next couple of days, If any one is interested post. (I paid $10 for mine)

Cheers
Anyone recomend the battery/ wish i new how much bigger and diffferent it wud look
I'm also interested in a bigger battery myself and I found one on ebay at a good price, 13 pounds.
I don't think there will be much difference in thickness. From what I see in the picture it will add around 4 mm.
My main problem with it is my phone is blue and the new cover is only grey.
cant you link the page?

[INFO] It's Here! (Pics)

This thing is awesome. Sorry for the bad pics I just took them quick as I'm going to go play with this! Build quality is outstanding, zero flex on the back from my unit. It's incredibly fast and seems like a really premium unit.

Congrats.....you bastard.
Looks like the box took a bit of a beating. Glad the unit's good and working nicely. Have fun, try not to gloat TOO much.
I find the fact that the weather widget display is "Not Available" humorously apt for the current ordering situation.
You might want to blank out the serial number in the pics bud. If you DO get a chance to get the keyboard dock cheaper they will ask for that, and if everyone knows your code... someone might use it and you'll be screwed. Plus warranty claims etc.

Nexus 7 - replaced motherboard- now battery issues

I had a Nexus 7 for two years and it ran flawlessly until one day it just did not work. I sent it back to Asus and they determined that it needed a motherboard. Because it was out of warranty I ordered one on eBay, and installed it and the tablet for the most part works fine.
However it registers 0% battery life and always says that I need to connect the charger. I know that the battery is fully charged because, just for instants, I set it up on a photo slideshow and it played for eight hours or more.
Occasionally I have trouble turning the tablet on. I read on some forums some tips and tricks – like trying to turn it on within a few seconds of plugging in the charging cable.
Other than to replace the motherboard again… Is there anything I can do with this to have consistent performance?
At this point… I would even love to sail this, but I don't know who would be interested in buying it in the condition it is in… Unless it were someone on this forum.
