Volume Control on Original Earphones

Hi,
Are you supposed to be able to control the volume from the earphones on the HTC Touch HD? I have my headphones plugged in and when playing music every time I press the button on the earphones it does nothing, or if I press and hold the button it tries to voice dial. Although the button seems to toggle I cant see anyway of adjusting the volume.
You cant. You can use a bluetooth A2DP headset which usually has its own volume control (not remote control for the winmo "mixer") but then you'll sadly get worse sound quality

Re-Assign WMP Enter Button To Skip Tracks Instead of Pause?

Hey peeps, basically I have a pair of headphones that only has one button on it, to start and stop music. I've noticed on windows media player that on the buttons tab, Play & Pause are linked to ENTER....which is the same button my headset is using to pause tracks.
What I want to be able to do is change the Next Track button to ENTER instead, this way I could change tracks without even getting my phone out. I've already tried to press my headset button whilst trying to re-assign buttons but that doesnt work. Is there anything out there to help me? I have a theory that if the keyboard could stay up when re-assigning buttons I may be able to do it. any ideas guys?

Is There A Registry Setting For BlueTooth Streaming Media Volume

I am currently using the MaxdBAtten registry key to adjust the overall system (ringer, notification, device speaker) volume but what I've noticed that (even without this hack) the Bluetooth streaming media volume is so low that I have to crank up the volume in my car just to hear anything at all.
Is there a different, separate registry key to control the volume of the Bluetooth streaming media volume. BTW, Bluetooth _call_ volume is just fine.

Volume up/down long press next/previous track?

I'm currently using playerpro which I love but can't find an answer to track selecting using volume up/down. It doesn't work within playerpro, neither does jays sound control or Physical button music control under Xposed.
I did use Gravitybox which worked but it messed up volume control settings. Basically notification volume changed to alarm volume. No idea why but needs fixing.
So how can I change tracks using volume up/down on my phone and headphones when the screen is off?

Disable Bluetooth Headphone Buttons?

I have Bluetooth headphones, which use a single button press to for pause/play. Unfortunately these buttons trigger quite easily on their own and there doesn't seem to be an app from the vendor to change the button mapping.
Is there a way on the Android side to disable those media controls?
