[Q] Speaker volume issue - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
So i noticed a problem. The volume of media/games is also affected by the ringtone volume.
If the ringtone volume is muted, the volume of media/games is lowered. When the ringtone volume is unmuted - no matter the level - the volume of media/games gets louder.
My LG G2 i guess must be the international version. It is bought in Denmark.
Would anyone try to confirm?

Will someone please confirm this?

Confirmed.

So it's a bug. Makes me wonder about the reviews about the sound now. :silly:

X1i ringtone Volume problem

After I modified registry to boost up the ringtone volume, I found that the volume of ringtone will attenuate .
I do not mean the ringtone volume fluctuates. I do mean the ringtone music is loud at the beginning, but it goes lower and lower in a short time.
When the ringtone music is short(like some default ringtone), this problem is not very obvious. It is because when the music is over, it will be re-played. At re-playing, the ringtone music is also loud at the beginning, but also goes lower and lower, so short ringtone music seems loud at every moment. However, my own ringtone is relatively long, the problem will be very obvious.
This make me missed many calls as the ringtone volume attenuate make me unable to hear the ringtone (vibration of X1i is also not very good).
Do anyone who suffer from this problem? or it just because of my own X1 hardware or software problem?!
I tried to found some related threads or posts here. I know there are some keys like HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Attenuation to control, but the problems have solved even I followed the setting from those threads or posts.
Could anyone help me?! thanks~

[Q] In-call volume bug?

Does anyone else have this problem while in call, the volume is low but when you adjust it and lower the volume then raise it back up, it's louder than it was when you first had it at full volume?
I am having trouble trying to get an answer to this question.
I have the exact same issue as described. After having 12 Nexus 4s I can tell you that some have this issue, some stay at the loud volume you see after adjustment, and some stay at the quiet volume before adjustment (absolute worst). Be lucky that you can reach the loud volume and pray that the fix will be in the next update.

I have a similar issue with mine.
When I receive calls, the top speaker is very quiet (even if I press the volume button to maximum), but when I move my face away from the phone then back to it (activating the proximity sensor) the volume goes up to what it should it.
Could this e a software bug or warrant an RMA?

sound on RR/LOS-based

Does anybody else have problems with the volume in those roms? Now that the DAC is fixed, there is no distortion. However I find the volume levels uneven and also extremely loud. Sure, it's nice to see that the DAC can push the volume so high but my ears always hurt when listening to music on those roms.
Did anyone find a way to tweak the volume or make the sound be more soft like in stock roms? If so, please share your experience thanks
We have an existing thread for the sound fix here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/sound-fix-los-los-base-roms-t3587373
Edit: Looks like the latest version, 4.2, has some volume fixes.
you can turn down the volume with the volume rocker ;P

I know what the OP is talking about.... Even having the volume rocker at the very first click up, and I'm on 30 step volume, the notifications are still really loud.
V4a can turn down the gain of the over-all system...But then the music is a little low.
I'm living with it, as I prefer using RR/LOs over stock. I also have music software and have went in and turned down my main notification tone and ringtone so they are usable on my A7.

In-call volume too loud

Hello everybody,
Phone is Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, ZE500KL, Android 5.0.2, WW_12.8.5.222
My in-call volume is too loud.
If i'm in a car or in some other quiet space, everybody can hear the person i am talking to.
Speaker is not turned on, and in-call volume is set at the minimum (volume button during call). The button is working, but even the minimum volume setting is too loud.
Is there some volume setting at system level where i can lower the whole in-call volume range, or some app for doing that?
Or maybe some app that can somehow overlay in-call volume and make it quieter? Maybe if i root my phone?
Please help, i really need to lower in-call volume.
Thanks in advance.
Bump.
Please answer, if anyone knows the answer how can i lower in-call volume.
I really have problems with it, must leave my office too often, or hope that the person i speak to won't say anything odd or something.
I am currently thinking of changing my phone because of this stupid problem.
Hahahaha. This is a refreshing problem!! I have always heard people saying the in-call volume is too low. You have a unique problem
Yes, i know But that's the reason i can't find the answer
Hello, have to ask again. Is there anyone who can help me with this "in-call too loud" problem?
Hi. I am facing the same problem. The earpiece speaker is Really loud. The callers voice is audible to everyone sitting near me. The volume is set to minimum
I understand you completely, but unfortunately i still don't have working solution to lower in-call volume below it's lowest setting.
Please write here if you find any solution to this unusual problem, i will do the same.

Low in-call volume

Anyone else notice how low the incall volume is on the g7? Wondering if there is anything that can help to improve it. I have the call volume maxed out and still have issues trying to hear.
