[REQ][BOUNTY] Quiet Hours or Motorola Assist (Sleeping) - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

Looking for the simple UX, minimal UI and 100% functionality that Quiet Hours (CM10+) or Motorola Assist (4.2+ on MotoX) provide where there are no notifications, no LED, no vibration and only phone calls allowed during set hours. Both seem seem to be integrated at the system level to provide the user with minimal interruption for the set hours.
Not sure if this is as simple as pulling something out of CM/AOSP or looking at the Motorola Assist .apk or what.
I got $20 on this for anyone who can do it. If anyone else is interested, please add your pledge.

Why don't you just get an app like Llama (can be found on the Play Store) and set specific hours or locations, whatever you choose, to enable a silent profile with only calls coming thru. This isn't that difficult... simple free apk called Llama has done this for me every night since ICS.

Not sure how familiar you are with tasker, but I just recently fell in love with this app.

Agreed, tasker can do all of this and much more

LOTS of settings in there. Uninstalled.
If you haven't used either "Quiet hours" or Motorola "Assist", the screen shots attached show how easy it can be.
The first picture is of CM/AOSP "Quiet Hours" settings found in Settings>Sounds. As you can see, minimal in settings and it works.
The second/third pictures is of Motorola "Assist" on the MotoX. The third picture is the first screen you are given, where the second screen allows you to pick how calls are handled. Again, minimal and it works.
I appreciate the suggestions, but these two examples of what I would like to see are what I would like to see.

Before I fell in love with Tasker, I used Timeriffic, which has a super easy layout. I've also run CM, so I'm familiar with those settings, but really Timeriffic is more powerful (without being confusing)

The single biggest function I am looking for is something that allows only for calls (whether the first call or second) to come through during set hours 11pm-6am. Timeriffic doesn't recognize my XPosed framework and thinks that my phone and notification volumes are linked, where I have separated them. Unless Timeriffic can recognize this separation, I won't be able to get it to do what I want, which is to have no notifications between 11pm-6am, except for phone calls.

Here, try this. I made a Tasker app that you install and click the icon and it will set the volumes to the presets shown in the screenshot. Lemme know if you need anything changed, or want another app to revert to your normal volume settings. You dont need the actual Tasker app installed to use this, either.

DroidKang?
Use DroidKang ROM. Includes quiet hours a la CM10 ... since it's CM11 essentially.

[Q] app that vibrates every 5 minutes if notifications active

Hey guys,
i'm searching for an application or built in option that lets my phone vibrate every x minutes if there are any pending notifications that i did not react to.
is there anything out there that could fit my needs?
didn't find any "repeat"-funciton in tasker either.
i want something like that, for my missed events/calls/sms

yeah, me too.
my 10 year old phone could do this... and had a flashing led :-/
there is an app out in the dev sections here for galaxy s that uses the screen as LED notification sort of
ill have a look this week at coding something as its should only use a few Broadcast Receivers and not be too complex
I think this would be a better idea then the noled app to be honest!

Is there any news on this app?
maybe we could entince the developer of NoLED to include Vibration
Something like 'notify' on the mAemo platform would be cool. Had an n900 which had multi coloured configurable led but it was always nice to have audio notify every 5 mins for missed calls and texts.

Notifications

OK I'm really frustrated trying to find a solution. Is there a way to get the screen to light up for a few seconds to a minute or two or keep the soft keys on the Note to light up and blink interval when I get any form of notification, mostly need for messages, miss calls and kick messages and emails. I have tried every kind of app, Noled, MMF, Tasker and a few others. The closest I got to was Llama, which lights the screen up but only for a few seconds like less than 3 seconds.
Really need a solution fast, I keep missing my notifications until for more than an hour, I am on PA rom 0.4a and not sure if BLN works, installed the app but doesn't seem to work, someone please solve this issue for me and the rest suffering in silence.
So surprised how such a basic function of screen lighting up when there is a new notification was available in as old phones as my previous N97mini but can't even have it decently working by downloading apps from the play store. I am so tried of Googling, have been doing so for several hours and I am sick of it. Someone with the solution or with their personal solution please post on this thread and share.
Sorry for the rant but really need this fixed soon, once again I'm on PA rom 0.4a

I've tried several: 280, 300, 320, 360, 400 & 420...all worked fine but you'd see issues in certain apps, and certain apps would jump into tablet mode (pretty sure that was on the lower ones, of course).
I stuck on 420 since it still shrinks things considerably down from the stock 480 but most apps don't have overlapping or other issues. The only app I've noticed an issue is the dialer, but not the phone on inbound or ongoing calls, just when you are dialing the number. You can still see the numbers and hit each with no problem, it's just shrunk up a little strangely. Other than that I'm loving 420 (no pun intended ). :good:
Awesome. What are you using to change dpi? On my note 2 with exposed you were able to choose dpi per application, anyone know if the module is working for that?
Can't remember the name of the mod.
Sent from my SM-N900V using xda app-developers app
Found it.
In downloads, app settings. If you use this you can modify only apps you want so you don't have to worry about compatibility or force closing system gui.
I set Novo launcher lower and a few other apps.

Update:
I changed the system ui to 420, along with Novo(remove shadow from desktop), and messaging and it looks perfect.
Fyi this doesn't break or distort the phone app.

Thanks for mentioning that module. I hadn't taken the time to look through all the options as I downloaded and set up a ton through Wanam's module and was pretty satisfied. Really glad you mentioned it so I can get the one wrinkle ironed out. Appreciate it bro!
If anyone plays around with SystemUI DPI and sees it kick into tablet mode with the bottom navigation bar please do tell which DPI setting!

I read in other threads that you were really interested in getting the bottom bar style tab mode going, and I know I mentioned tablet mode above in my response but that was only in apps, the System UI never changed...and I believe the person who responded to you in the other thread is correct - 4.3 android doesn't have that built in to the system UI as an option.
For example, before my Note 3 I had an Nexus 4 and was running Paranoid Android - the developers had to basically make tablet mode from scratch to keep the traditional bottom bar style going after 4.3. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I thought you should know. Of course somebody could endeavor to build it like PA did or we could get PA at some point but without that I doubt you'll find your holy grail anytime soon.
Also guys you'll want the play store fix. Play store by default will his apps based on your dpi, This mood will fix that.

Yeah, I use either 320 or 360 mostly when I want to change an app. 320 can be a little bit too small sometimes, but right around that zone I think is ideal. Though I really haven't changed a ton of apps, mostly System, Chrome, reddit, Facebook, XDA, Go SMS that I can think of off the top of my head.

Agreed, though I went as low as 360 for System, just because I wanted notifications to be shorter in the pull down so I can see more. I usually have several persistent ones in there now, so I want to be able to see all of my actual notifications as well.

LightFlow discussion

I remember recently that there was an alternative to LightFlow being featured somewhere (forget if it was XDA or Reddit or somewhere else).
Does anyone remember it? I believe it was a bit more lightweight than LF.
EDIT: Decided to make this the general Nexus 5 LightFlow thread since that's what it pretty much became.

I could find and try this one only.

But eventually I moved back to light flow because it works better for me in KitKat.
I prefer light flow. I like being able to set it to dismiss the light as soon as I turn my screen on. Quickest way to get the light to stop blinking.
