i cant post links im too new ive been a xda user for years finally signing up to help soon develop for public use
anyways ive been looking for this lg g2 boot animation yes i know lg post newb yes but i want it on my nexus 4 i can resize it and all but heres the piece by piece link
youtube(.)com/watch?v=56PznA-tBaw
Hope that worked

Make a dropbox link with just the resized images and I'll make your bootanimation, don't want to download YouTube video and go through the hassle, but if you have the frames I'll do it

I'm not sure if this applies to android, but there is a sort of "anti piracy" measure that comes with how video files are played on windows and mac systems. taking a screenshot of your desktop always returns a black screen of where the video is at. There are some softwares out there for pc and mac that can override the settings, but I do not know of one for android. There's probably one, i just dont know it.
I've used an app called "freeze frame" to do what you want.
Sony has an application on the market for this called Frame Grabber

I have 2 questions....

OK, first off let me start by saying that this tablet is amazing. For 200 bucks it cannot be beat. I am very happy with my purchase.
My first question is just out of curiosity, I remember when I was watching the reviews for the nexus 7 when it was first announced, When you booted up the device it had a really cool splash screen that had an animation that went from top to bottom I'm not sure if any of you remember it. Was this removed because I do not have this splash screen on my device. Mine is just the big glowing X.
My second question is when I go into google now I noticed in a lot of screenshots the background on the top menu portion would change depending on your location. I live in new york and I happen to come across a screenshot of someone's google now and it had the menu with the brooklyn bridge on it which looks pretty awesome. unfortunately mine only has mountains which is what it came with by default. I know it depends on location but if I live in new york why isn't it changing my background in the menu? I have all of my location services active so I don't think that's the problem. Is there anyway I could push this over to my device. Thanks in advance.

the splash screen you referred to might be the developers version of nexus 7..i think
The new splashcreen is stock jelly bean.

from the comments on that video:
This is the old one. They removed it after the OTA. The OTA was released a couple of hours after the tablets were given out. I pulled the animation as soon as I turned that sucker on. I have made it available on Aniboot ( play.google.com/store/apps/det*ails?id=com.socaldevs.aniboot ) It currently is on both 1280x720 and 1280x800 devices, soon to be tested on 1024x800 devices. App needs root, but its completely worth it. Go check it out!

That sucks I wonder why they did that I thought it was cool.
Any info on the google now location background in the app itself?

Photo Sphere restore?!

Hey folks,
I shot a great sphere pic last monday in madison square garden, though i accidentally swiped away the pic and its deleted now.( damn gallery landscape mode)
Now to the good part. I still got the "panorama session" folder that includes the orientation.meta file and a session.txt file as well as the necessary pictures.
Does anyone know how to force the camera to "manually render" again and recreate the sphere picture??
Thank you endless and more for any help!!
Have a good day!!

Perhaps you could print out all the pictures in full resolution and place them in a sphere around you, and recreate the scene?
All joking aside, this would be nice to know.

if you use g+, did it happen to upload automatically to your account?
Unfortunately im a EU citizen on vacation so this was during picture taken and wifi connection ((
At home it would have uploaded the pic, indeed.

Anime Boot Animation (Eden of the East)

Decided to celebrate the arrival of my Nexus 5 by creating a boot animation!
If you've watched Eden of the East, you'll recognize it! I decided to go with blue instead of the regular yellow/orange since I like the glow of it better.
Stupid Youtube isn't working so here's the link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChR3tyfECcA
Download link below and also in the YouTube description
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sjfek4u1h7wn45a/bootanimation.zip
NOT FLASHABLE for anyone who asks, move it to the System>media folder and overwrite/replace the current one in there.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Ah, sorry. Forgot to clarify it's not flash able. Just move to the system/media folder. Thanks!
