What is breathing?

I've read references to the nexus one breathing light but have no idea what does that mean?
I've seen my nexus one blink the track ball white for no apparent reason so I assume it is breathing. But what is it actually doing when breathing?

Good question. I've been looking for this answer too but I never had the courage to make a post.

Basically since the phone trackball light fades in and fades out, it is essentially 'breathing'.

I've seen mine do it often. Ive quickly checked and see it happens when its syncing and updating GPS.

LED Color notifications

Is anyone running an app on their slide for changing the led colors when messages,calls, etc comes in( for non-rooted phones) or do you need root for this?

I have tried many; all have been a epic failure showing only a green light no matter the color selected... And I'm not running root, not yet anyway...

Wonder if it has to be something like the trackball for nexus (trackball alert free) ill test that tomorrow and post back if it works

Tackball alert doesn't work, it requires custom ROM's not available to us, just tried it. no matter what colour I picked it flashed green

After looking at the LED real close while it was charging I noticed the orange is at the top of the spot and the green is at the bottom. If you look real close while it is lit up you'll notice there 2 LEDs on the chip, so it looks like orange and green are all we'll be able to get

Capacitive Buttons

I noticed today that the 4 capacitive buttons at the bottom of the phone were not all lit up as they're supposed to be. There seems to be light coming from the search button and starts to carry over into the back button but the home and menu buttons are an off white color and dont seem to be getting lit up. Any suggestions?

I seem to have the same problem. I'm on OTA 2.3.4. It could be a model that I did, but I can't remember doing anything that might have done it.

There are reasons why this build is called "beta". I'm on official 4.1.83 and have no such issue, anyone does?

Mine seem to be working fine. I know that they work with the light sensor. Try covering it up for a few seconds (to the right of the earpiece) to see if they work.

What Colour is everyone getting?

Hi Everyone,
I'll be importing a G3 from Korea in the next few days but I don't know what colour to get? What colour is everyone else getting? I'm thinking of the gold one but it might be tacky...

While I usually gravitate toward black (and unfortunately T-Mobile only offers it in the two basic colors I believe) what are the advantages, if any, of white phones?
I'm talking about possible things like not losing paint colors through chipping, easier to clean, or something like that.
By the way, if you have many colors available I'd suggest you try to see the colors in person - photos often don't match the look of the real thing especially when it goes beyond black/white colors.

I wanted gold, but it is Sprint-exclusive.

If you're thinking about getting a G3 it don't matter if it's black or white.

White ones will generally have a little higher resell value ... women prefer them

I was hoping for silver but I might go with white this time since my N2 was black. Dust was more visible and the phone looked older due to the dark color. I also like the two tone look with the white.

Has anyone finally got this working like the sign lg ROM. I have porque for light flow and tried every app possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly don't think it'll happen. Someone was in contact with the dev of Light Flow and he said to get it to work, it would cause a lot of battery drain.

Thanks. I guys i will be sticking with the stock ROM. It's nice don't get me wrong but i love pure Android. But having the back led i felt like me phone is so much docente from anyone else. Even more so when I'm on it
