[Bootanimation] Galaxy Nexus Particles by Wrixituz Updated 25.11. - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

Hi all!
I am new here.
I resize the amazing Bootanimation from Wrixituz to our Device.
No Device Number, only Bootanimation.
So enjoy it.

Yes Sir! :good:

Just booted up with it. Looks sweet!

So how am I being stupid?
Open link in Chrome and it takes me to all the images. Without any ability to just grab the file.
Open the link in Next and I have the option to open with Drive. In Drive it opens to the two folders and the desc.text file, I extract them to my sdcard, select them all and zip them into bootanimation.zip move them to system/media and change the permissions. However, when I check properties it shows up as rdx-r, click change and it shows they are set rw-r-r, what the heck am I doing wrong?

Awesome boot animation. I was disappointed with the stock one that it doesn't take advantage of the 5 inch screen.

This Zip is not for flashing.
Use Root Explorer and push the File to /system/media and set Permission. Than Reboot the Phone.

This is really nice, definitely going to use it. Is it just a resize of lower resolution images, or could the original developer actually make it in the higher resolution images?

It's a resize by me of the original Bootanimation Build for Galaxy Nexus from developer.
I build it with XnView and Boot Animation Factory on Windows.

Particles by Wrixituz was my favorite on my N4! Great to have it for the Nexus5!! Cool

As new member, i have actually no Access to post a new link.
Sorry about that.
Thank's

I love the design of the animation and installed it successfully, but in my eyes it looks a little soft.
Perhaps because its source is lower resolution...
It would be so cool to have this animation in full screen resolution, but i think this is not easy to get.

Trimmed ICS boot animation
Hey guys, I got sick of the slow frame loading on my Optimus V so I trimmed it down a bit. This comes at a cost of image quality though as I had to shrink resolution/compress/remove frames/lower frame rate. I think I came to a suitable compromise though. Try it out.
really good
thanks

Great job! I'll try it immediately!
I'm completely stock with only the root, you can install the gallery without flash it from recovery, but just copying the files using a file browser?
I think is enough to copy the file into MotoGallery2.apk system\app, or I have to copy all the files lib?
These files are sufficient or should I also copy the contents of the META-INF?
Can anyone help me?
Thank you very much.

You have to set the correct permissions on the boot animation. See what all the other files in that folder have as permissions and set the same for the boot ani.

I'd personally like the default Nexus 5 bootup animation to start going after instead, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I couldn't figure out how to change the size of the Nexus 5 animation (it's a very small size compared to the glitch animation). If you'd like to give that a try at some point, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I cannot post links unfortunately, as I am a new member, but searching Nexus 5 boot animation download gets you several options.
Can you make this one?

You probably have an old leftover boot animation. Delete the bootanimation.zip from /data/local/. If there's ever a bootanimation.zip in that directory, android will attempt to use that one instead of the one in /system/media/.

It's for a Galaxy Note 2 which has a 720x1280 resolution. For some reason, changing the resolutions in desc.txt inside bootanimation.zip doesn't work and jsut reverts my boot animation to the stock Android one.

hmm, that's strange. editing the desc.txt should work flawlessly, especially since note 2 is proportionally similar to nexus 5 (1080/1920 = 720/1280).
i edited the desc.txt myself for you and attached the files to this post. THIS IS JUST FOR THE NOTE 2 or anything with 720x1280 resolution.
also, be sure that you don't have any old bootanimation.zip files residing in the /data/local/ directory (otherwise android will try to use that one first), and if you're pushing it to /system/media/ yourself instead of using my flashable zip, be sure the permissions are set as rw-r--r--.

IIRC, you have to place the bootanimation.zip in /data/local/. Since the /system is formatted everytime you flash a new ROM, so is the boot animation. The /data/ partition isn't touched when flashing or wiping data.

Lol, there's no need. This one will work perfectly fine on Lollipop. Same deal. Place in /system/media or /data/local.
It's just a boot animation. Doesn't rely on any sort of frameworks or anything. As long as it's the correct resolution it will work. This animation looks pretty solid to me. Not sure why it would need an update, or "release version".
Rocking it on final developer preview right now it looks great.
can i flash the zip on latest l preview?

^Your answer is here^
A boot animation is nothing but a zip. It will work on any Android device as long as custom boot animations are enabled (I believe in pure stock, it's a little different)
Is it possible to make an .apk version of this? Might wanna revert in the future and I'll have to look again for my backup bootanimationzip.

If the zip isn't already named "bootanimation.zip" - rename it to that. Use a file explorer with root permissions and go to /system/media/
Find the "bootanimation.zip" that's already there. Rename that one to "bootanimation.zip.bak"
Place this boot animation that you renamed to start with in /system/media/ and you're good to go. If you ever want to revert to your old boot animation then delete this one and delete the .bak extension from your original one...

Because I'm pretty sure Superman's symbol never changed.
Unless you knew and that were being sarcastic and that's what the winkey face is for. No sure, hard to pick up on sarcasm over the internet sometimes.
